Description

Nestled among long-limbed oak trees on the “mainland” side of the park sit 82 campsites in the Wooded Area Loop Campground. Twenty five of those are walk-in sites for tent campers only; you’ll have to park about 150 yards away from where’ll you’ll set up camp. The upside? Greater privacy, and your site will still be equipped with a picnic table and grill, with running water nearby. The other 57 traditional campsites each contain water and electric hookups, plus the standard picnic table and fire ring.

Beautiful south Texas coastal campground. Has showers and restrooms. We tent camped in a space with light and water. Did some fishing during the day. Nice hiking trails to keep you active with friends and kids. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice secluded spots.
