5D Ranch is an owner operated ranch that has opened its doors to the public. We have a quiet place to pitch a tent under the trees with sandy soil. We have 8 campsites available at this time with plans to expand.
Are you looking for some fun country activities? The ranch is a great place to bring the whole family. Come enjoy a day of fishing in our ponds stocked with bass and perch (catch and release only). Or, if you're not into fishing, we also have beautiful, well marked, maintained trails for those of you that would rather go hiking. There are 400 acres with 12 miles of marked trails. However, our trails are designed to go in any direction so you can go for as short or as long as you like, all without being more than 2 miles away from the parking area. We have picnic tables and portable tents available for those of you that want to bring lunch and spend the day. We also have a restroom and shower for overnight campers.

if your looking for a place to get away from the city, this is a good place to start. Lots of communication with the host and had a very nice tour with the owner Eddie. Much of the overall property is not for camping but instead reserved for trails and exploring by campers and equestrians. There is plenty of open space to set up tents. At some point a designated camper area under trees and shelter will be developed for campers. For now just bring a canopy shelter if you want shade and a grill for cooking. You can pick out just about any spot. There is a toilet and water available which is a plus for most all primitive camping.
5D Ranch was GREAT!!! Seriously I can not say enough great things about the property AND the host. Secluded, beautiful area. Very quiet! Lost of trails, 14 miles worth i think!! Julie's dad met us upon arrival and showed us right where to go and gave us the lay of the land. Super nice! Julie came out later and greeted us as well. Very welcoming!
They cater to horseriders, but as campers we felt vey welcomed. If you have horses then this is a no brainer, but even just to camp 5D Ranch was a home run!!
This was my first time camping alone, and I was grateful that my first solo experience was at 5D ranch. I was greeted warmly, promptly, and helpfully by the host, and fortunate to have the place to myself (and my dogs). It was so convenient to Houston, but felt a world away. Highly recommended!
