Nice and quiet place, awesome view and flexible owners. Nice place to spend some quiet nature time. Very convenient location.
Thanks Chuck for welcoming us . Hopping to coming back. Love your place!
Campsite was amazing, owner was friendly and personable and ALL the staff where awesome and very helpful. Only complaint was it was a little loud due to traffic but it looked like all campsite around where close to the road.
A little piece of heaven.
What a wonderful experience! The hosts were so accommodating, the kids loved the creek and playground, and the beer on tap was awesome. Mount Rushmore was a very short drive and there were so many family things to do very close to the campground. There are cabins and RV spaces there. Laundry, firewood, and ice on site along with a great assortment of beers on tap in the taproom. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to see the black hills and surrounding areas. It was an hour and a half drive to the Badlands National Park (which was a must). The Bruce Bannon beer on tap tastes like Firestone’s luponic beer.
Overall great place
Carefree. Chuck the owner nice guy. His greeter was not friendly and gave us no check instructions and not personable at all. Very cool tap room to hangout with lots of beer and pizza offerings. Internet was horrible but hey you’re on vacation. If you go to the common area which is absolutely inviting you can get some service. RV spaces were level. Hook ups were fine. If you book book one of the back spaces the front spaces are closer to highway. Restrooms/Shower were awesome. To wash a load it’s 2.50. Not sure on how much to dry as the dryer was broken. Campers dogs were not on leash and didn’t pick up their poop. We have small dog we kept leashed at all times. I would definitely recommend just know to ask questions if you’re not offered information. There’s also a lil creek behind with a small bridge with a hiking area.
Loved whispering winds
We loved our stay at Whispering Winds! Far and away one of the most unique stays at a campground. We loved that there was more privacy due to a small number of RV sites and the location was great.. Woodsy area while still being close to everything you need. We had no cell service, but were prepared for that from other reviews. But you can just pop up to the front for easy wifi access! All in all a great place to stay.
