Randy and Allison were fantastic hosts! The cabin was super cute, well built, warm and dry at night and just overall, lovely. We had our own private porch as well as fire pit area. They even supplied the wood and kindling so no need to bring it in with you! There was also an outhouse of sorts nearby. I say “of sorts” because it had a fully functional running toilet and sink. They used rain water that they collected, brilliant! I would highly recommend this spot to friends and family and fully intend to rent the cabin/site again in the future.

Randy and Alli were great! The site was even better than described and getting to hang out on the homestead with the goats and the dogs was a total bonus. It was a good weekend getaway with quick access to hiking, but not too far from 'civilization' (especially helpful when we realized we forgot ice!). Would definitely recommend a stay!

Allison and Randy were amazing hosts and their farm was beyond all my expectations. Beautiful fields, forest, creek, adorable animals who are kept with love and respect, and a veggie garden. The cabin they built was very comfortable and private. I had a great time there relaxing and learning about goats. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to go somewhere truly peaceful and magic.

The Primitive Cabin really exceeded our expectations! The cabin was bigger than we expected and Randy & Allison were the nicest and most welcoming hosts! They allowed us to tour their farm fresh eggs for breakfast. We would recommend this to anyone that's looking for a beautiful and private property. We'll be returning!

It was so nice and relaxing! We had a great time. They had some essentials in the cabin just in case we forgot something. The sunsets were amazing!!! It was truly such a nice visit. The hosts were very nice and welcoming!

The sunsets are amazing and relaxing. We read on this open area waiting for the sun to set. Goats!! I love them. I would love on them every time we would pass by. Cabin in the Woods - ZiegenVineIt may look small but it is perfect for two people. Lovely cabin.

Randy and Allison went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The site is breathtakingly beautiful, the cabin big enough to accommodate 4 people comfortably. The goats and conversation with our hosts, awesome! Most definitely will be back!!!

We stayed at Randy and Allison’s rustic cabin in the middle of a snow storm. The frigid weather, drifting snow, and sketchy road conditions did not damper our enthusiasm or the hosts’ hospitality. They were welcoming and responsive while making sure that we had all the privacy we needed. We got to play with dogs, goats, and chickens and soak in the sights of their beautiful property. We braved a 9 degree night with the help of their wood stove and kerosene heater which was exactly what we wanted. We can’t say enough good things about our hosts, their property or our experience. Do yourself a favor and stay with the ASAP!

We had a great stay at Randy and Allison's cabin in late April. They were super friendly, checking in occasionally while still giving plenty of space for us to be by ourselves. They toured us around the farm and let us hang with their goats as well. Nearest town has a general market and dollar store. It rained the few days before we arrived so we had to park about a quarter mile from the cabin itself. Allison kindly drove all our stuff to the cabin for us but it wasn't an issue walking to the car for day trips (aside from a little mud). I'd recommend using the heater they provide overnight as well as packing layers as it can get quite cold without. Great day trips include hiking (Letchworth State Park was a highlight), wine touring (Dr. Konstantin Frank's was our favorite), and spending time in downtown Ithaca (40 min drive). I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking to stay in a cozy cabin while exploring the Finger Lakes!
