Nature's Heritage Farm is a beautiful wooded farm in the Adirondack foothills. We consider ourselves stewards of our land, and thus draw from permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and other natural farming methods to rebuild soil and ecosystem health, raise delicious food and happy animals. We have a rabbit colony, a couple horses, a flock of chickens, and a family of miniature donkeys too! We're happy to give you a tour and introduction to them. You'll love seeing our historic bank barn, and Momma Donk is guaranteed to win you over with her love of ear scratches. Nature's Heritage Farm is excited to offer DAY TRIPS to the farm!! Come get a tour, learn about all the animals, enjoy lots of snuggles and pets, and then enjoy the property for the day! We have a great play area for the kids, beautiful hiking, and more. Message us to schedule your day trip & tour! We offer primitive tent campsites. No electric or toilets are available at this time. However, we can offer a number of services and rentals, including all of the camping gear you could need. Want the fun of camping without the half day spent setting up? Let us know, we'll have a tent ready and waiting with cots, camp kitchen and supplies ready to go! Most of the property is woods (pine plantation and natural hard wood forest) crisscrossed by park like trails. You can count on finding some peace and solitude if that is what you desire. Also, there are many state parks, preserves, lakes, rivers and other enjoyable attractions nearby. Our hilltop campsite is a dark site, and you can get a wonderful, clear view of the stars! Nearby Attractions include: - Baker Woods Preserve - Turning Point Park - New York Zoo - Numerous Adirondacks parks, hikes and peaks - within day trip distance of the Thousand Islands and the Wild Center! Note that this property is near Fort Drum, so sometimes you can hear their munitions practice in the distance.

The "Apple Meadow", so named for 2 old apple trees found here, is a delightful clearing just behind our historic bank barn. It is surrounded by tall pine trees, giving it a very sheltered and private feel. It also has great views of our future pasture, ready access to the many trails, and is more convenient to the parking area than Hilltop- the area is flat, and it is a much shorter walk.

The Hill Top Site is straight down a park like trail to the southern end of the property. At the top of a hill is a beautiful clearing, perfectly sized for 2-3 tents. It is surrounded by trees and bushes for ultimate privacy. It is also far enough back that there is very little light pollution, so you can enjoy an amazing view of the night sky. Feel free to explore the property, bird watch, or just use camp as a base for exploring the local parks and preserves. We also offer tours and farm experiences. You can hike your belongings back by foot, or we will haul items back using an ATV for free!

Day Trips

**Please contact us about scheduling before booking!** Already have overnight accommodations, or just a local resident? Stop by for a day trip at the farm! We'll take you on a tour of the barn so you can meet all the animals. Feed chickens, pet bunnies, and learn about them all. We'll also do a fun farm-related and seasonally appropriate craft. Then enjoy the play area, and the acres of woods and trails for as long as you like. You can even bring a picnic to enjoy at your leisure! Don't forget to check out the optional experiences you can add on to the tour, such as horsemanship or the farm hand experience!

LeeAnna was very responsive, kind, and accommodating. I had some last-minute issues and she was able to come up with a solution and everything worked out smoothly. The hilltop site was perfect for a campfire and group gathering and we had such a memorable time viewing the Solar Eclipse 2024. LeeAnna made this group trip special and stressfree and I would recommend her site to anyone thinking of camping in a tent or a campervan. There's also farm fresh eggs for purchase and I made some delicious flan with it. Thank you LeeAnna!

We had an amazing time staying at LeeAnna's for the 2024 eclipse. The site was clean, beautiful, and peaceful. Our host was super helpful with showing us around and helping us bring our things to our site. Highly recommend!

"Apple" Meadow
My group and I had an amazing time camping at LeeAnna’s farm during the solar eclipse. She was so helpful and welcoming and made us feel right at home. She made us feel that anything we might need was just a quick message away. Her property is beautiful and we all loved meeting her friendly horse, donkeys, bunnies, chickens, and goats! We made French toast with the bread she baked for us and our farm fresh eggs on our campfire and it was a fantastic breakfast. We would definitely recommend anyone interested to stay here!

Being able to bask in the beauty of the land, see oodles of stars, listen to the wind whistle through the trees as we watch the sun fall after a day in the treesss. True bliss. Grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the views, and regroup.
