We had a great time tent camping on Carrie’s farm! Carrie’s instructions were clear for arrival, and the campsite was very nice!! There was an outhouse, a wooden platform for our tent, and a stone fire circle. The farm is so charming, we were able to hear the rushing of the river from our campsite, and we felt like we had room for all four of us comfortably. It was a great launch point for hiking in Vermont’s green mountains! I would stay here again.

I had a wonderful time camping on Carrie’s land, the River was very close and walkable. The campsite itself was situated under the cover of the trees and felt private. Carrie was kind and communicative and made us feel welcome on her land. Overall camping at site 1 by the river was a wonderful time and I would camp there again

Went tent camping for a couple nights, absolutely loved this site. Super secluded with easy access to the river as well as a nice fire pit. had the best time and hope to return!

Love this camp spot! I'm looking forward to the next trip. Peaceful, clean and on a prime spot on the Battenkill!

Carrie is a wonderful host and her property is spectacular. We HipCamp often around the NE and this property is one of the best yet. We bring our paddle boards with us and the option to drop in from the camp site is very cool. The BattenKill is gorgeous. Close to Manchester and the Shires, we will definitely be back. 5 stars for both the hostess and the property.

What a beautiful place! Really lucky to have been able to stay in such a perfect setting. If you are a fly fisherman, that stretch of the river is some of the best flyfishing in the area. We had a great time. All of the campsites are very nicely done. Hopefully a little running water and maybe composting or other form of toilet at some point will be added, which would be a bonus - but if you like to rough it, it really is perfect!

We had another wonderful stay with Carrie! We love her little pine forest down by the river. She invited us to go kayaking on the river with her friends, and we had a fabulous time! They are so loving, inclusive and fun. Lots of great hikes nearby as well. We can’t wait to come back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Carrie's campground. The setting was beautiful and the site pristine. In addition I had some car trouble and the host graciously helped me out. The setting was quiet except for birds singing and running water that was the river - just what I was hoping for!

Carrie's Camp 3 was great - a nice site, very private, nestled amongst the trees, next to the river. There is a large wooden tent platform, and a conveniently located composting toilet. Lots of birds! We enjoyed the farm and its animals (dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, bunnies, goats, etc.).
Carrie is very accommodating. We hope to return one day!

From the moment we arrived Carrie greeted us with her warm and welcoming presence. In order to make us feel at home, she gave us a tour of different sleeping locations and allowed us to choose which one felt best for us since no one else was there. She had chairs ready for us to use, and even told us all about her farm. She gave us recommendations for things to do and see in the area. The composting outhouse was so clean and enjoyable! We loved the peace and quiet by the river and at the campsite. The glow of the sunset on the river and the mountains was gorgeous. She even invited us to go kayaking down the river. Her farm fresh eggs were delicious. We bought 2 dozen and have been enjoying them. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you Carrie for being so l loving, warm, welcoming and for the great hospitality. We cannot recommend her farm enough!

What a fantastic spot! Our camping spot was right next to a pristine stretch of river with crystal clear water. The host was super nice and we bought some of her local eggs she farmed. Camp spots were super clean and secluded. Will def be back
