We had an awesome time at Riverside camp.
Being not far as the crow flies from Yass, Murrumbateman or Canberra, its a wonderfully remote and private site.
Only 1 booking ever available, so you have the whole camp site to yourself. So much timber for the fire, plenty of trees to string tarps, and opportunities to fossick for gold around the old Chinese diggings (we found lots of shell casings).
So much to photograph, insta-worthy. I hope I get to load up some photos on the review.
Tracey was was lovely, easy to get along with, and left us to our own privacy.
It's a bush site, no facilities, but we had our shower and toilet tent.
Our labradoodle had an absolutely wonderful time chasing all the animal smells, and taking walks to the river.
A 4wd is essential to get to the site.
Thankyou Tracey for allowing us to stay on your land. It was a wonderful experience. Exactly what we needed.

Was a lovely secluded property. Camp fire was amazing. My husband, myself and dog had the best weekend. Lots of kangaroos. Fishing in the river was nice.

Quiet and relaxing night spent next to the Yass river. Good signage to the site from the gate and communication as needed with Tracey. No one else around but the sound of kookaburras. High clearance vehicle needed- we took it easy with no issues.

Great night camping on Tracey’s land by the river. Totally secluded, great location with multiple options where to set up camp. Tracey was great with communication and very helpful and the drive up was nice too. Definitely need a 4x4 or at least something with a bit of clearance. Would highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a quiet spot by the river to rest and relax.

Great stay with my daughter and pet dog. It was warm ans plenty of room. Driving there was definitely an addition to the adventure. Do not use Waze, use google maps. Giant fire pit available even a stove top barrel cooker which came in handy. Need high clearance vehicle. Would recommend.

Great spot for bush camping close to Canberra. Isolated and quiet. We caught some fish on the river. Tracey was really helpful. Would stay again!

We had an awesome stay by the river, was very secluded. We had a lot of rain, but even still it was an amazing camping spot. Nice big fire pit, with plenty of wood laying around. Will definitely be coming back in the future. I highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful remote campsite, clean and tidy. Yass river frontage, and the campsite itself is tucked into a clearing surrounded by remnant bushland.

This is a lovely camp if you're wanting genuine Aussie bush seclusion. Definitely 4wd or AWD access only and it is great for dogs - just watch for snakes and roos if you're pup is prone to chasing them. The roos that is, the snake we saw wasn't close to camp and happily avoided us.
Arriving after dark was, interesting. There are a couple of abandoned cars on the way in - one on the track, which we had to go around, and we found it a bit spooky but otherwise all good. Highly recommend to take a ground sheet as there's not much grass.

I loved this camp site. Gives the feel of full bush camping without travelling 3 hours out of Canberra. It’s a very open camp ground with tons of room for the dogs to run around freely. With a decent price and stunning view of the night sky I will definitely be back.
