Description
Superior National Forest is well-known for its boreal forest ecosystem. But, if you have no idea what that even means, there’s no need to break out those old Earth Science textbooks. All you really need to know is that it’s a beautifully pristine type of environment, and you can dig deep into it at Crescent Lake. This undeveloped lake is completely surrounded by the National Forest, and the campground is right on the water. You’ll share the campground with your fellow humans, but there will also be some locals to keep you company: moose, deer, loons, and bald eagles, to name a few. By the time you leave, you’ll undoubtedly be crushing on the beauty of the boreal.
