This is a essentially a private campsite with a million dollar view during the day, and wonderful stargazing at night! We welcome dogs and don't charge additional fees for you to bring your dog(s) to camp. The park allows dogs into the park BUT NOT ON ANY TRAILS! (Only the national “forests” allow dogs on trails, not national parks.) PLEASE, let us know you are bringing dog(s), when you request to book. We currently have 2 dogs - our boy Chance is a 6yo Husky Doberman mix; and we rescued and are fostering a (approx 3yo) Great Dane, Winston! Unfortunately, we can NOT dog sit your dog(s) while you are in the park having 2 large male dogs in our house. Also you can not leave the dog alone in the campsite. We are in Three Rivers - the southern Ash Mountain gateway to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Our town has some wonderfully unique restaurants, creative shops and even a delicious brewery with seating next to the River! Our hillside property has great Mountain View’s and the driveway turns directly off of Sierra drive, four miles past the town center (3R post office) and just 2 miles from the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks entrance. There’s even a convenience store a quarter mile away! It's conveniently located and easy to find! You can (seasonally) hear the tranqual sounds, or all out roar of the flowing Kaweah river from across the street. Sorry, there is NO river access from this campsite. You can go to Slick Rock Recreation area, Lake Kaweah or into the parks to swim, boat, fish and more. Lake Kaweah is about 8 miles away. You drive around it after you top the hill entering Three Rivers. My wife Elizabeth and I bought our log home in 2015 and we have been dreaming and adding here ever since! Our dog Chance chases all the fun wildlife off of our property. In addition to deer, we have seen fox, bob cats, an Ocelot, too many coyotes, wild turkeys and bear crossing an animal highway along our upper hillside property line. Hawks, hummingbirds, quail, blue birds, woodpeckers and yellow bellied finches are regularly seen here as well. We have had turkey families coming through frequently recently! Owls have been heard; but not seen. We love our country home and mountain views, and look forward to sharing them with you!Three Rivers is a small welcoming gateway town to the southern entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks. Our hillside property is located just 2 miles from the parks entrance. Our driveway spills directly onto Sierra Drive - the main road leading through town and into the parks - so we are very easy to find! We only have one campsite - the Corral campsite. So you will have the place to yourselves! … other than us, your hosts, who live on site. Our log home is close enough to be available to help with any questions It is located a bit higher up the hillside. You can see our rooftop from the campsite. We have created a safe, comfortable, private and quiet camping experience in a rustic natural setting. The Corral campsite includes the exclusive use of a wide 2-person hammock, a large propane BBQ (propane provided) also with a side burner for regular cooking, basic BBQ cooking utensils, an extra large picnic table with a shade structure built over it, a cold water hose fed spigot with a deep bucket to wash dishes, 1 covered garbage can, and 1 recycling covered can. Even when there is a fire ban in effect, you CAN use our provided BBQ year round. This campsite is priced for 4 people of any age, race or persuasion. You can add 2 more campers for $15/each per night for a maximum of 6 total. Because we "meet and greet" to show you around and how things work, we ask for you send us a ballpark ETA when you plan to arrive - on the day - so we can arrange to be there and available to show you around. Check-in is any time after 2pm - which is a long time to be stuck at home waiting, if you don't know a camper isn't planning on coming until later in the evening.✌ If somehow our dogs haven't heard you drive up and announced your arrival with their barking, please come up and knock on our front door. We are waiting to welcome you! Our driveway has a sharp, steep turn while climbing our hillside property. The driveway stops us from hosting RV'S or pulled trailers. If you manage the steep hairpin driveway turn, there is no place to turn around once up. Campervans are fine! Rooftop tents work too. Children are welcome. Our place is very rustic, on a hillside, and off of a main road, so we are by no means "child proof"; But we are child friendly. Especially at night, you can hear the sounds of the river flowing across the street below.  Unfortunately, we don't have river access. There’s a great place to swim a few minutes drive down the street called Slick Rock Recreation Area - and your park entrance pass works there too; put it on your dashboard to save you the $5 day use fee. Our past Hipcampers have posted pictures of them floating in inner tubes at Slick Rock. We do have an outdoor cold water shower for you to cool off at the camp...and it has a great view! Feel free to reach out, if you have any questions. We are happy to answer them!

Off leash, on leash. We are totally animal friendly! Dog(s) stay for free. Please let us know how many dogs you plan on bringing! Off leash is at host's discretion. Our property is not fully fenced, although this campsite is inside of a fenced horse Corral. The campsite is located off a main road. Dog(s) stay free, but can NOT stay in the camp unattended. We DO offer dog sitting for an additional fee, as the park does not allow dogs on any trails. They let you inside the park with your dog, but unfortunately, it will have to stay in your car. ☹ There are some wonderful walking/hiking/biking trails at the nearby Salt Creek BLM land. It is free to enter and allows dogs & horses! We will show you where to go! Please let us know ahead of time if you are thinking of booking us for dog sitting so we can arrange to be available.
