Your Toccoa River Fish Trap is a  secluded  private  gated 4 acre gently laying parcel with end of the road privacy, hidden away only a few miles from Blue Ridge Georgia! Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. MINIMUM BOOKING 30 DAYS. Message me for the monthly rate. The property is ideal for Tiny House,  RV, travel trailer, car or tent camping and is walking distance from the Toccoa River, a world class trout fishing river!  This camp site has on site city water and full electrical hookups.  Use of the community lot at the river is included in your rental! The community lot on the Toccoa River is right where the Cherokee Indians traditionally made rock fish traps for food.

This lot easily accommodate tiny house, RV or trailer camping, or a group with tents.  Fish Trap has a picnic table, a fire pit, a National Park style charcoal grill,  and a nice outhouse. Bring your own firewood. Easy road access- no steep grades.

This camp site has Tiny House and RV hookups- city water, ample electrical power (50 amp/30amp/20 amp plugs) and a yard light. No septic or black water dump station.

Just to the right of the Lot 4 gate is a woods road (the old Indian Trail to the fish traps) leading directly to the community lot on the River, located at 49 Gibbs Drive.  This provides easy  walking access to the Toccoa River at the community lot  which has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online.  The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.

This property is conveniently located at 400 Wagon Tracks Ridge, Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the main 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, Tennessee; and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River across from the Cove.

You are a short drive from Lake Blue Ridge, the Chattahoochee National Forest, Brasstown Bald and many hiking trails, such as the Aska adventure area, the Appalachian Trail, the Benton McCaye Trail, and trails in the Big Frog wilderness area, Cohutta wilderness area and the Rich Mountain wilderness area. The Ocoee River whitewater center with  the Olympic kayak rapids  and the world class mountain biking trails are less than 20 minutes away. Hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing, boating, swimming, zip lines -- oh my!

George was a wonderful and extremely accommodating host. He was responsive to any and all requests for directions and information. The site itself was great. George provides firewood that is covered in case of rain and an immaculate outhouse. It's obvious that he dedicates time to making sure visitors have a great place to camp. He even brought us bolt cutters to help out when a friend chained my cooler to a tree and lost the key.

I highly recommend the site itself and George as a host.

George was great, site was nice, little walk to Toccoa River. Lovely common river frontage for fishing, swimming, playing.
All was as one could want.

The site was awesome. It had more to offer than we had expected. Just wish fishing was closer. We will recommend it, as well as return.

It was great staying here. Very quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Although with all the rain things got really muddy. We had A lot of movies to kill time and plenty of food! We had to leave one day early due to all the rain. The only thing I could think of that would’ve helped us. Maybe a gravel area for the camper as it was hard to get out with all the mud. We almost didn’t get out. We will be back though when the forecast is better. We hope next time we can at least do some fishing. Thank you George for allowing us to stay here. We would love to come back!

Thanks Jenny! We have had record rains this month, and I have been trying to get in there with the skidder and some loads of gravel since November- will do it as soon as possible and before your next visit!
