The campsite offers a mix of experiences with many guests praising the quiet, privacy, and helpfulness of the host, which made their stay enjoyable and relaxing. The site is appreciated for its cleanliness and accessibility, with highlights including glamping tents, fire pits, and a friendly atmosphere, making it suitable for family gatherings and peaceful getaways. However, some visitors have noted issues such as wet tents, dirty linens, and noise disturbances from nearby trains and planes, which can detract from the natural experience. Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment leans towards positive experiences with enjoyable amenities and welcoming hosts.
My family enjoyed our time here.. I liked the quiet and privacy of the area. The host was very nice and she responded to my questions right away.. we were able to have friends and family over for a day for bbq and everyone had a blast..

We are truly grateful for such a wonderful stay! â¤ď¸ We visited last Saturday, and unfortunately, the rain came down quite heavily. We were a little worried that the weather might ruin our family camping experience, but our amazing host went above and beyond and generously allowed us to upgrade our booking to a cabin.
That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. Instead of worrying about the rain, we were able to relax, stay warm and comfortable, and simply enjoy precious time together as a family. đĽ°
Thank you so much for your kindness, understanding, and hospitality. Sometimes itâs the little acts of kindness that make a trip truly memorable, and your thoughtfulness made our stay extra special. â¤ď¸
We had such a great time and would absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommended! đď¸đ§ď¸â¤ď¸
Loved this place , second time coming this year we wanted to modify the reservation and the host did their best to meet our needs really appreciate that from a business definitely be back
Had a great time! It was our first glamp so if it helps anyone: wifi password is not in greeting msg and is in location listing, tent gets dark and outdoor shower doesn't have light so bring your lantern, and there is very limited surface to cook so bringing folding table helps.
We had such a great time! While it was hot in the Texas heat, the A/C in the tent was great. We pretty much h has the place to ourselves, the fire pit & grill were perfect for evenings & our dogs had a blast being outside and exploring. We would definitely stay again!
my family and I had a great night everything was clean it was such an easy drive and host kept in touch definitely recommend ! The cowboy pool was great and so was the bond fire !
The Tent Was drenched inside. Furniture , Rug , futon and bedding
Was dangar of short circuit as waster was around power outlet. Outside grill was unusable. Not great!
My daughter and I rented The Happy Place for a few nights and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everything was set up so nicely in the glamping tent and the location was private, wooded and very quiet. Dana was very courteous and helpful and I'd highly recommend staying here ---I'll be back for sure.
Amy
Overall the campsite was nice however seemed to have dirty bed linens . The converter was full of either dog or cat hair . There was also a pretty strong urine smell next the bed . I would not recommend this site because of $300 per night fee without a basic cleaning
Great little spot for just a weekend! Host were very friendly and accommodating. There was 9 of us in the cabin, and 3 of them were teenage boys! You might want to bring an extra fan or 2 for the bunk bed room. Bring games to play for indoors and outdoors.
We came in the offseason over Spring Break and it was the perfect camping getaway. We stayed in one of the prepared Tents (Happy Place). All the fun of camping without the hassle of setting up tents, sleeping equipment, or overheating in the tent. The camping area was a great size for a family.
Showers were warm and clean (with some friendly frogs to keep you on your toes). Only amenity I would improve is the toilets (standard port-a-potties, for the same price you can stay at a 3-star hotel)
The boys loved running around the wooded camp areas (we were all alone so they had complete freedom). Barely any bugs in March so we enjoyed sitting by the fire for hours
Me and my family loved it. Real nice and quiet place, the fire pit, the tent, and had almost everything you need, such as a table, chairs, even an hammock. There is not much to wonder around but is cozy, so you shouldnât need to. The only thing is that the restroom is not super close, so the only thing I wouldâve brought was a portable potty for easy going.
I loved camping at the glamp and camp! It was perfect. The fire pits, the area, the cleanliness, the showers and RR. The directions were super easy to follow even coming at night. Would definitely recommend. Even brought my doggy. We had a blast.
The property was very nice and clear to set up camp. The instructions were easy to follow and the host was very helpful. I just don't think the price for a primitive campsite was worth it since it is primitive.
This place is well maintained and very lovely. Evenly spaced out from other campers. Tons of sticks to collect for a good fire, sorry if we cleared all of them out đ¤Ł. The pirate ship is a good touch. Would highly recommend spending a few days here. We camped peacefully full of laughter and joy at the "zen den" only recommendation would be to put a strand of lights on the string for the front of the tent, at night it was hard to see it and would hate for anything to happen to a person or even the owners property. Other than that its a very warming and lovely place. Btw listen for the donkey and geese I had a good conversation with them. Thank you for an excellent stay and we are looking forward to doing it again one day!!
It was good quality and fair price, but the horrible train noises at night were very unpleasant. Also, some planes flew overhead and that really destroys the whole "camping in the woods" theme. If you're just looking g for a place to drink beer around the campfire with your buddies, it will do just fine, but if you want to connect with nature and rest in seclusion, then look somewhere else.
I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Outpost 203, renting the Vintage Camper, and I can't recommend this experience enough! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming retro design of the camper, which offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The camper was well-equipped with all the essentials, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy our time in nature. Waking up surrounded by the sounds of the forest was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The nearby hiking trails and beautiful scenery provided endless opportunities for exploration and adventure.
In the evenings, we gathered around the campfire, sharing stories and roasting marshmallows, all while soaking in the stunning starlit sky. The sense of community at Outpost 203 was evident, with fellow campers sharing tips and experiences, adding to the overall charm of our stay.
If you're looking for a weekend getaway that combines comfort with the beauty of the outdoors, I highly recommend Outpost 203 and their Vintage Camper. Itâs the perfect escape for anyone wanting to recharge and connect with nature. You won't be disappointed!
Beautiful property!
Brought my two dogs here to get them away from the 4th of July fireworks. There were some but not nearly as much as the city. The dogs loved it! Everyone gets their own space. They had large fire pits with plenty of seating and the owners are very kind!
We booked for our memorial long weekend. The place is great and we had a good time. We booked a cabin for 8 members. The only downside is we only had one wall mount AC unit in the hall and only fans in the bedrooms.
This was a terrible experience. Outpost 203 has no personality for a camping spot. What a big disappointment. We arrived there and there was no one to talk to about our space. We encountered 2 other people and they were not at all friendly. Our space was just a boon docking space between two houses with a little woods around. There were dirty port-a-potties nearby. The one shower was not a bad space. Outpost 203 has put little or no effort into making their campsites welcoming or inviting.
