We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Hazel River - Harmony Tree farm. Directions were spot on, the camp set up fantastic (camp table, log seating and fire pit) and a wonderful short hike to the river.
Thank you Matthew - we look forward to returning.

Great campsite not far from Culpeper and the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Tons of firewood on the site as well as benches around a fire pit, which was really nice. Matthew was a great host. Definitely would recommend staying here.

We loved camping on Matthew’s property! The site has great features like benches around the fire pit, a prep table, a portable toilet, and firewood. Matthew was quick to respond and helpful. Nice spot about 45 min from Luray. We would definitely camp here again!

I was looking for a quiet and private place and this hit the spot. The porta potty was in good condition, and the firewood was a nice bonus. There's fishing in the river, and I imagine in the summer time it is pretty good swimming. The host was helpful and courteous, even after I accidentally strayed from one of the instructions.

It was a nice little spot with plenty of privacy. We enjoyed a bit of time by the river and looking at stars all night. Matthew was helpful and responsive to texts and even taught me how to tune my son’s drum set! Short trip, wish we had more time!

Great location not hard to get to or navigate. Plenty of firewood, on hand, or to be foraged multiple locations for a tent and a ginormous tank of non-potable water. The Porta John was very clean and just down the hill, a stones, throw, from your camping location. A very remote setting with lots of animal noises all through the night I would highly recommend this location if you really want to connect with nature. Matthew met me at the campsite, gave me a quick tour and some history of the area and a brief description of the site. I would definitely revisit this location again as it is perfect for motorcycle camping or car camping.

Matthew’s campsite was private and peaceful. He left us with plenty of firewood for the weekend, a clean bathroom, and directions for hiking to the nearby river (which was beautiful). The whole family had a great time!

Matthew's camp spot was an amazing and tranquil get-away. I loved the fire pit with log seating area, plus the taller table for meal prepping. The nearby river was great for sunbathing and taking a refreshing dip! Matthew was a super welcoming and helpful host, and went out of his way to help me take down my tent when he saw me struggling with it on my last morning. If you're looking for a quiet get-away in the trees that's still close to nearby hiking and cute towns, this is the perfect spot.
