We have thirty acres. A solid portion is heavily wooded with large oaks. If your tent can fit, you may set it up anywhere you choose. Cait moves the horses around so best to check with her to have her relocate them if you decide your perfect spot is also where a horse decides to rest. We also have open pasture and an area near a "still filling with rainwater" newly dug pond.

There is a lot of wildlife. Owls, songbirds. roadrunners, coyotes, ringtail cats, opossums, raccoons deer, feral hog, and more are daily visitors. We have a tall deer blind with stairs to view wildlife. There is fresh water and a composting toilet available, as well as a (cold water) outdoor shower.

We had a fantastic time. The horses were so much fun to feed and pet. Camping under the stars was amazing.

This is a sweet little spot not far from San Antonio. Lots of trees and shade, a tidy, clean composting outhouse, horses and donkeys to chat with, and chairs to use. I definitely plan to visit again.

What a great, secluded place to stay. And on a farm with horses, donkeys, and a cat! The amenities here are excellent, including a composting toilet and cellular wifi. There are lots of trees and vegetation in general. We were able to tent camp with our rainfly off, so we could lie back and look up at the stars through the trees, as the chirping of crickets lulled us to sleep. There was a nice breeze blowing through that cooled us, although, yeah, at the heat of the day, it was hot. Meh ... this was South Texas in June, so we expect that. The only people I saw who were not in cars along the roadways were the workers who came once daily to tend to the animals. We had a great time feeding toaster pastries to the donkeys and carrots to the horses. We will definitely return to Mockingbirds Farm and I highly recommend it!
