Located near Lake Tejas or Steinhagen Reservoir travel 2.9 acres into a wooded hunting ground and enjoy a weekend of natures beauty. When you’re done setting up camp, hike the forest trails enjoy some vollyball with your friends and picnic under the shade of the trees. Our sites does have water access, an outhouse with a flushing toilet. Access to a rec area with volley ball. We also rent tents upon request. We have a 10 person tent for $50 a large 4-5 person tent with screened in area for $30. We offer a move in the woods package as well. A projector/screen setup and you bring a movie or rent one from us for $1 per title.

The campgrounds are well kept and the office staff is very friendly. Breakfast was served on the weekend and coffee. This was not expected and very much appreciated! The RV was spacious and had everything needed to enjoy our stay!

THRIVE Family Camp and RV is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the serene beauty of the forest and the warm hospitality of our host, David. The campsite was impeccably clean and well-organized. We especially appreciated the clean bathroom facilities, which made our stay even more comfortable. Davey was most gracious, and we had the place to ourselves. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the natural surroundings, provided a truly relaxing retreat. We left feeling refreshed and can't wait to return for another tranquil getaway.

Staying at the thrive tiny house was an absolute delight! The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect weekend getaway. The house itself was thoughtfully designed, with cozy yet modern accommodations that exceeded our expectations. It was clear that a lot of care went into every detail, making it well worth the price. The endless breathtaking trails and quiet surroundings added to the relaxing experience and we left feeling completely refreshed. Ive only been in July on two separate occasions and the campground was basically abandoned. We had no one camping near us and had tons of amazing trees to keep us shaded. We went canoeing while there and there is easy access to a boat launch. It can get pretty warm so you can rinse off in the showers in the bathroom facilities that were always kept up with. Though right along Caddo Lake the waters are warm so they offer great relief from the hotter days. Opportunities to see deer, ratcoons, opposums, squirrels and owls. It was always a fun trip and has beautiful sunsets along the water.

Martin Dies has a wide variety of different types of campsites. We chose a fairly open spot right on the water's edge. We were glad we did because the sunset views were awesome, and there was a breeze that kept the bugs away. We went on a bike ride down to the campsites in the wooded portion and the bugs were awful. The kayak dock looked very peaceful, and you can rent them there. However, certain times of the year I would bet the mosquitoes would eat you alive.
The only weird part of our stay was when people drove up two sites over and set off fireworks for over 20 mins (illegally). THIRTY minutes later a ranger showed up on a golf cart saying that she heard someone might be shooting a gun. 30 min response time for gunfire?!?

Two separate campsites Walnut ridge and Hen House. Walnut ridge has sites that are really spacious and private with small to medium views of the lake. Some sites are near the highway and can be loud. Hen House had great views of the lake, and was very quiet
