At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. The cabin is furnished with antiques, a fluffy queen bed, and an oversized bunk above. Although the cabin is meant to be a retreat from modern electronics, it does have a cieling fan, light, TV, and outlets powered by solar panels. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

Tucked in the hollow of the surrounding ridges, the rustic cabin sits on the hillside with a small pond at the foot. A wide front deck with rocking chairs and a double glider overlooks the pond, offering a perfect spot to have coffee at sunrise or unwind beneath the stars.
The cabin is furnished with antiques, a fluffy queen bed, and an oversized bunk above. Although the cabin is meant to be a retreat from modern electronics, it does have a cieling fan, light, TV, and outlets powered by solar panels. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.

Sacred Dog Ranch is unreal! The hosts are the kindest people ever. We got to ride horses, hang out with the sweetest dogs, and even feed a fox (!!). The whole place feels open and peaceful—outdoor shower, hot tub, fresh tomatoes from the garden—it’s just the perfect spot to reset and recharge. Already dreaming about going back.

1 night at Baker Hollow Farm in Nashville
My boyfriend and I stayed at the beautiful cabin for 1 night. We arrived late at night but they still welcomed us, showed us how to get to the cabin and how everything works there (outside shower, lights, power etc.). The cabin was very hidden from everything, very quiet, it felt like a real nature retreat. The whole property itself was also absolutely stunning, they have the sweetest animals, honestly they were so andorable and friendly, and you guys were so nice! Thank you again for everything! Btw, the dog and that one lighter brown horse are so cuddly and happy for visitors 😍 we would’ve loved to stay longer but we were on a tight time schedule.

Beautiful property and friendly hosts. My kids got to name kittens and enjoyed seeing all the livestock. We spent hours roaming around the gardens or in the woods, down to the creek. The cabin is very cool. My wife and I particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch for an afternoon rain storm. Quick drive to Lenny’s Country Kitchen for great food.

This was such a great experience and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area! Lisa was so welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I made friends with all the dogs and even got a little cat drool in my lap. The cabin itself was a work of art, literally, and I was spoiled for a place to sleep. If youre into art, this place is a haven. My only regret is that I had to wake up and leave early to beat the rain.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch
Lisa is super friendly and willing to go out of her way to accommodate you if possible. The cabin my friend and I stayed in was one room with a screened in front porch, it had a bunk bed with full or queen bed on the bottom. There was a mini fridge. No running water but she brought us a gallon of water and a couple cups. There is an outhouse nearby that seemed pretty clean, no smell! She’s working on improving the WiFi signal there. I used my own data. Was able to park right in front of the cabin. Lots of friendly dogs here. Recommend!

WILL BE REVISITING! The hosts are lovely, friendly, interesting people who will treat you like you’re a close friend. I brought my dog with me and she had a great time playing with their 8 dogs on the property, and the screened in porch is a game changer! There are a couple fun farm animals around. The cabin is perfect for a camping/shelter feel, a bed in a comfy decorated studio with windows. nothing too fancy just how we like it! Some of the cabins are still a work in progress so I’m very excited to visit Lisa and Gary in the future :) thankful to have found this and them!

My boyfriend and I LOVED our stay at Sacred Dog Ranch. We had the best time! We stayed in one of the clamping cabins. It was very warm and clean. Decorated so cute as well! Lisa and Gary were amazing and some of the nicest people we have met. Lisa toured us around the beautiful property. Her and her husband have put so much hard work into making the property so beautiful and holistic. I highly recommend staying here! You will feel at peace here.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch
A great experience and escape from busy Nashville city life! I chose a cabin in close proximity to the main house though enough distance that felt private and quiet. Lisa and Gary were gracious hosts. I learned a lot from Lisa as she walked me around the ranch to meet the horses and tell the story how the property had been developed and worked into a magical get-away that is great for solitude camping or gatherings. Also, a great place for creatives to find inspiration and ignite a person's (or collaborators) imagination and visions! Sacred Dog Ranch is a mystical get away and perfect for meditation and alignment of mind, body and soul.

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The bathrooms and showers were clean and kept tidy. The place is quiet. The host is very nice. There is not much off the exit so make sure to grab food or supplies an exit before arriving. We explored an art wall park nearby. Would totally stay here again.
