Tent campites on the Intercoastal Waterway overlooking the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. This is a nature lovers dream. We offer primitive campsites that have access to communal water sources, power, restrooms, and shower facilities. Our campground has a full length basketball court, Pickleball Court, and swings for your enjoyment. You will have access to a floating dock for launch of kayaks into the Intracoastal Waterway. If you do not have your own kayak, we always have them for rent. There is easy access to the iconic Awendaw Passage of the Palmetto Trail, which runs directly through the property and offers hiking and off-road biking opportunities. If you love to set up hammocks, we encourage that on our many majestic Oaks and Palmettos around the property. There are also many offsite activities in the surrounding area that you can enjoy.

Please refer to the park map in the photos.

The Flushing Toilets, Showers, and Water source is located at the Conference Center area of the property (there are portable toilets at waterfront).  You will need to bring something to store your water in. Power access is at the Conference Center and a single access point at the waterfront.  You can easily drive between the waterfront camping area and the Conference Center.

You can drive directly to the sites and park.  We do allow camper vans and small popup tents/campers.  We do not have hookups at each site so you will need to plan accordingly.  Anything over 20 feet is not allowed.

Each site has a fire ring and picnic table.  There is a communal area at the end of dock for everyone to enjoy.  The swings and basketball/pickleball court is for everyone as well (basketballs, pickleball equipment, soccer balls, footballs, and other recreation equipment are provided).

In all my years of camping, this is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed! It's ideally located along the waterway. Other than the occasional passing boat, the only sounds were those provided by nature.

While some other sites at the campground have more open views of the water, this site (#1) is the best match for a privacy lover like me. A live oak and grove of palmettos separates it from the rest of the sites.

Jay provided everything I needed to know prior to my arrival. When I stopped by the conference center/restroom area, I met Megan who was very friendly and welcoming.

I highly recommend this site for anyone who wants a peaceful, scenic getaway!

Great Location! We enjoyed it a lot. Jay was excellent at communicating, the sites are clean, the firewood we purchased was also well seasoned and burned great, the showers were hot, the trash cans were regularly emptied. I'm not sure what else to ask for!

There were lots of activities going on we didn't get involved in but I know they offer kayak rentals, fishing, and there were larger group activities as well. The reviews were heard from fellow campers were very positive. If we are visiting the area again we'll return.

We were located at site #5. View for sunrise and sunset were absolutely beautiful. Management checked in on us in the evening (around 6PM) before heading out for the night which was a nice gesture. Minimal privacy with close to no silence. Quietest time during waking hours was 7am-8AM. Very poor experience with other sites. Dogs off leash running in our site disrupting our time. Management was able to get this solved fortunately. Dogs barking throughout the evening as well as in the morning. The site across from us were playing music, singing, and talking until about 1130PM. I messaged management at 1030PM and never heard back about this specific issue.

Beautiful location on the ICW! Nice size campsite, peaceful, quiet area. Could not ask for a better place to camp. Porta Johns and wash stations near sites, full size bathrooms and water 500 yards away

Had such a blast. Amazing breeze being on the coast and beautiful view to wake up to. Definitely family friendly and a good spot to camp, kayak, and fish. Highly recommend bug spray though.

Had so much fun, amazing breeze on the water, and beautiful view to wake you to. Highly recommend this spot and will be back multiple times. Didn’t have any luck catching any fish out there but had a awesome time kayaking out there. Highly recommend bringing bug spray though.

Great spot to tent away from people. We stayed at site 6 which sat right next to the waterway. The views were awesome. We even saw dolphins swim by in the morning. Will definitely be back again.
