Well-maintained, spacious site!
This land is so clean and the campsite was very spacious! The one I had was right under the trees so it got morning sun but then was shaded all afternoon, making the tent comfortable to get into at bedtime. The dogs loved it too! They provided wood (at a cost) that was covered and dry, as well as a trash bag, plus a mailbox with area info inside. Randy, who helped check me in, was very helpful and provided some bungee cords so I wouldn't have to make a second trip from the car to the site, which is a little bit of a walk (normally not an issue, but I had a foot injury). Some of the other campsites were partially visible but not close by any means, enough to make you feel comfortable knowing people are nearby but still having lots of privacy. There are lots of little touches too, that make it really special here for anyone traveling solo, with kids, with pets, or in groups looking for an affordable, well-maintained place to stay. And the town of Peninsula is so cute and quaint, yet friendly and offering lots of things to do. I plan to return to CVNP next year and will 100% book a stay here again!
