Elk, deer and many other species of wildlife are present at different times. With 170 acres, there is plenty of room to hike, bike and let the kids explore. Utah juniper and Cedar are the species of trees on this high desert landscape at 6000 foot elevation.
A newly renovated pool summer 2022 and new bathrooms, showers and laundry room added (in a 14 foot grain silo) by the pool spring 2022. We just added a basketball area and sand volleyball is summer 2022. Pickleball going in summer 2023.
8 new full hookup RV pads also going in summer 2023 and are now available with 30/50 amp service. Far enough away from the lights of surrounding towns of Spring City, Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim, the Milky Way and stars will amaze. Come and visit for a night or a week.

Wonderland was a great place to stay if you’re looking to travel to Capital Reef National Park! It was a short 10 minute drive, and there were plenty of food options within the town! The bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the wagon was the perfect small getaway for my fiancé and I! Definitely recommend.

Views are very beautiful! Campfire wood is cheap! It was great to have a roof over our heads on a couple of very windy nights (vs. a flapping tent!) Unit was very clean as were the bathrooms! One of the two showers in the Men’s bathrooms only produces cold water, so there was a wait at times. Beds are comfortable except for the plastic covering.

The park campgrounds were full when we arrived and the rangers directed us to a forest service campground 1/2 hour outside the park. I still remember the large sites and the sweet smell of pine needles

Each park we have visited during our tour of Utah’s NP has been awesome, and this was no exception. We checked out the goosenecks, hiked the Rim Overlook trail and Hickman Bridge in one day and were thrilled with the views of each. The second day we did the hike at Chimney Rock for fantastic views again and checked out the historic sites in Fruita!
Despite the government shutdown, everything was in good order and the few people staffing the parks are doing a stellar job. Be sure to show them a little kindness as they are working hard!

Such an underrated park. It doesn't get nearly as crowded as the other parks in Utah (I'm talking about you, Zion) and has great trails. It has stuff for at least a full day, two if you take it easy.

Underrated!!!! We almost didn’t go because people made it seem like it was a bust compared to the other parks- while not as intensely unique as say, Bryce Canyon, it was still very cool and worth a visit!
