I enjoyed my stay at Susi’s land! The place had a couch that fit two people but the couch is harder so make sure to bring a blanket or two to lay on top of! Susi and Dan were lovely people and greeted us as we pulled in. They showed us everything we needed to know and made us feel welcomed! I would recommend for a shorter stay only because things to do are about an hour away so the driving can be a lot!

Weekend Trip to Black Hills & Badlands Sunrise &Set
Staying here was my favorite part of visiting South Dakota! I would definitely recommend spending just the tiny bit more and booking the cabin (in the summer heat)—so comfortable and worthwhile. The sunset was so beautiful from their property, and it was so fun to be near the cows, bison, horses, deer, and their wonderful cat. In the evening shade, even when the temperature said 100, it was lovely to sit out back and watch the scenes. It was a great two nights, and I would definitely 100% book here again if I’m ever through the area. (Also one of the only locations available that’s convenient between Badlands NP and Custer SP/Wind Cave.)

If everyone in South Dakota is as kind as Susi and Dan, then SD is the nicest state in the country. We loved our stay in the Bunkhouse, it had everything we needed and their land is beyond beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

This is an older accomodation for sure, if youre expecting luxury, maybe look somewhere else. The room had everything I needed; fridge, microwave, and coffee essentials. It was quiet and felt very safe - especially important for this solo travelers. I was even able to leave my window open for some fresh air. It is located in a small town. They have a gas station and a couple of small places to eat. I recommend the Indian Taco at Lulu's - delicious. Staff at Bandlands camp are super friendly and helpful. Their store has a good amount of essentials and they offer some hot breakfast options. You'll definetly get a sense for small town living.

Great spot with super nice hosts! Lots of amenities to offer - views were gorgeous, and it was very peaceful. Beware of the gravel roads (as the host points out) make sure your car can handle them:)

My friend and I stopped here for a night while visiting Badlands. The views were phenomenal from the campground and check in couldn’t have been smoother. The guests were lovely and even shared some cheese sticks with us! We went to bed with a beautiful sunset and awoke to a field full of prairie dogs. I will definitely stop in again if visiting the area in the future. The hosts are renovating so I can only imagine what improvements would be made to an awesome stay already.

Susi was a great host; she was very hospitable and sweet. I felt incredibly safe camping on her site and the sunset was beautiful. It’s very remote, safe, quiet, and the perfect spot for a little getaway. The wildlife at dusk was noticeable and the birds chirping as the sun set was just what I needed to hear. I would definitely recommend camping here!

ICBMs & Cold World MUST SEE!
If you are military background definitely worth seeing... Someone looking for a "fun day"... Go see the 20ft Prarie Dog or hit Wall Drug... This was a great informative look into the world of ICBMs and the "Cold War"... If you don't know what that is I would skip it...

Minuteman Missile NHS is worth a stop. We went to the visitor center and the self-guided tour. Both were informative and interesting. We did not to the guided tour and were told there is up to a 3-month waiting period to get in.
