🚗 Safety and Check-In
• Each adult camper must provide a screenshot of their driver’s license and vehicle details through the inbox (make, model, color) when requesting a booking
• Your information is kept private and used only for safety
• Please arrive no later than 7PM. ALL CAMPSITES ARE CLOSED PROMPTLY at 7PM for your initial check-in day
• Please screenshot directions before traveling—GPS WILL NOT WORK, AND SERVICE IS LIMITED
• Text us 1 hour before arrival, with the direction you will be coming from. From there, we may be able to help guide you toward your campsite or suggest an easier route.
• We have a Super Strict Refund Policy: 50% refund (minus fees), if cancelled at least 30 days before check-in; no refund if within 30 days.

• About ~25 min from SD44 | ~55 min from Rapid City | ~40 min from the small town of Hermosa
• Dirt road access; 4WD or high-clearance vehicles are recommended

Weekend Trip to Black Hills & Badlands Sunrise &Set
If everyone in South Dakota is as kind as Susi and Dan, then SD is the nicest state in the country. We loved our stay in the Bunkhouse, it had everything we needed and their land is beyond beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

This is an older accomodation for sure, if youre expecting luxury, maybe look somewhere else. The room had everything I needed; fridge, microwave, and coffee essentials. It was quiet and felt very safe - especially important for this solo travelers. I was even able to leave my window open for some fresh air. It is located in a small town. They have a gas station and a couple of small places to eat. I recommend the Indian Taco at Lulu's - delicious. Staff at Bandlands camp are super friendly and helpful. Their store has a good amount of essentials and they offer some hot breakfast options. You'll definetly get a sense for small town living.

Weekend Trip to Badlands Hotel & Campground
The hotel was just what we needed after a long drive to the badlands! It’s easy to access and the drive in is a spectacular view! The manager is so fun and welcoming. Cute little shop right next to the motels! Love it here!!

It's a lot of reading very informative. I personally really enjoyed it but groups with young children might struggle as I watched several parents with small kids while I was there.

Minuteman Missile NHS - worthwhile stop in SD
Minuteman Missile NHS is worth a stop. We went to the visitor center and the self-guided tour. Both were informative and interesting. We did not to the guided tour and were told there is up to a 3-month waiting period to get in.
