Conditions allowed us to see the mountain, albeit from quite a distance. Had an enjoyable visit. Maybe would take a fly over trip to see Denali up close next time. Stayed in lodging within the park but did not camp
Denali is amazing and wild! I love the way they keep this wilderness pristine and protected. Cars and visitors are limited - as it should be!
The wildlife is everywhere and it’s incredible.

Drive there, if possible!
Stunning! Worth driving- an experience I will never forget!
Highly recommend staying in Denali if possible. It made it so much easier to pop over to the bus depot. We did the shuttle bus tour and really loved it! We saw many grizzlies, some moose, ptarmigan, a fox, and lots of other wildlife!

A gift for the senses
It’s all soooo big!!! Enormous proportions and Beauty
Reservable campsite but first come first serve to actual site number. Must stay 3 nights to stay here. Cannot go back to park headquarters after picking site unless you buy another bus pass. Can only go deeper into park w Tek bus pass . Must keep vehicle on site for 3 nights or forgo site. Great hiking areas behind camp on river. Bears around! Sites not far apart but have enough trees to feel a little private. Camp host available.

There are moose!
We visited the sled dog kennel - met some of the dogs and got an informative lecture from the staff. Free shuttle bus took us as far as mile 15 into the park. Got lucky and saw Denali. Saw a moose and her calf as well.

I highly recommend that you go into the park do the bus I did not do it this time because I’ve done it numerous times before. But I went to the road up until the entry into the park and also went to the Denali visiting camp area I also camp at all the campsites up to this area. They’re all fabulous but very difficult to get unless you reserve in advance.
Denali is the most peaceful and nature minded park in the US. On one morning tour, we saw eight grizzly bears (at different times), a moose, a caribou, several ground squirrels, multiple variety of birds, and several Dall sheep. The only way to really see and keep this park pristine is to take a guided bus tour or use one of the park, buses to hike or as an employee. Nothing prepares you for the peacefulness and grand beauty.
Sites are wierd.. no assignments other than grouping if a,b, and c.. reserved under handicap accesivle and the b sites are not that ither than having a raised tent area. Look thru the information completly as far as hiw each designation works

Absolutely breathtaking. We drove up from Anchorage. Stopping Talketna to get some of the best views of the Alaskan range and mt Denali before continuing on to the park.
