My husband Rob and I own a 40 acre property approximately 10 miles from Bayfield, Wi. We have a micro organic farm with hundreds of wild apple trees and believe in leaving the land better than we found it. Rob loves permaculture, managing soils, pruning apple trees and feeding his community nutrient dense food. I work as a hospice nurse and help out on the farm when I am able and we have 2 boys, Arlo and Owen. We keep busy! We offer 3 rustic rentals onsite, but each is very private and secluded. Consider all 3 for a larger gathering! We look forward to hosting you for a farm visit.

Our micro organic farm is located just 10 minutes from Bayfield, WI. We are nestled in the woods surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest. We are an off the grid solar electric farm, so electricity is limited at times, especially during the winter. The yurt sleeps 4 people, we have 2 queen size futon mattresses available for guests. One mattress is located in the loft and the other downstairs near the wood stove. Bedding is not provided. We provide a woodstove with firewood for indoor fires and there is an outdoor fire pit as well for cooking and campfires. Wood is not provided for this, we prefer you purchase locally before coming to the farm. We have a kitchen with 4 burner stove top, but there is no oven. We provide basic pots/pans, french press, and dishes for your stay. We offer a fridge during the summer months, but it is turned off during the winter. (Starting November 1st) We have a lovely composting toilet available in an outdoor outhouse. Water is provided to guests during summer months as well. In the off season, you are required to haul in your water. Come and enjoy this beautiful property and enjoy the nearby magic of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands! You won't regret it!

Come stay in our new geodesic dome. The dome is nestled on 40 acres which includes our micro organic farm. We are on the edge of thousands of acres of forest and located about 10 miles from Bayfield, WI and 10 miles from Cornucopia, WI. We operate an off the grid solar electric farm, but there is no electricity to the dome at this time. The 314 sq ft dome has a queen size bed, woodstove, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a single-burner stovetop for preparing simple meals. Basic dishes, and pots and pans are provided for your use.  There is a wood stove provided for heating with firewood included. Blankets, sheets and towels are provided for guests. There is an outdoor fire ring with cooking grate, but we prefer you purchase firewood locally for outdoor fires. Water is provided in the summer months, otherwise you need to haul in during the shoulder seasons. There is no indoor plumbing in the dome and no electricity, so bring a lantern or headlamp. In the summer, you can almost drive right up to the dome, but in the shoulder seasons, a hike in is required. Check in is on your own, so arrive when it works for you! Come enjoy the magic of the Northwoods while sleeping comfortably in this slice of heaven!

We offer a beautiful canvas wall tent on a lovely 40 acre property. We have a small organic vegetable farm and believe in caring for the land! We are super close to Lake Superior and all its Majesty. We are located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Bayfield, WI, but the farm itself is nestled in a remote spot and is perfect for folks looking for a rustic glamping adventure! Inside the tent a water jug is provided, as well as linens for a queen size bed. There is a small deck with 2 Adirondack chairs that overlook the property with Lake Superior in the distance. There is no running water or indoor plumbing. For cooking, plan to cook on the outdoor fire grate.  There is no indoor kitchen available. Plan for a short uphill hike from your car, approximately 250 ft. A farm cart is provided to carry your gear. Get ready to enjoy the magic of solar twinkle lights and wilderness in this sweet slice of heaven!

We had so much fun at the dome! It's incredibly cozy, the wood stove kept us very warm, and the amenities were perfect for a birthday glamping trip. The sink/stove is very easy to use, porto was clean upon arrival, and meandering through the orchards bird watching made for a lovely morning routine. I'd just point out two things to future travelers to be aware of: flies. Holy guacamole. More flies than I've ever seen or dealt with in my life. There were hundreds, no exaggeration. They mostly left us alone and the hosts had fly paper up that captured most of them but they get inside the dome constantly somehow. Just something to be aware of. The buzzing may keep you up at night without other noise. Secondly, the dome windows and roof are some sort of plastic that are not the most see through. I'm sure that's no fault of the owners but don't expect to stargaze at night. Otherwise though it was a wonderful stay and we would certainly come back again.

Loved our quick stay at the yurt. Plan on booking again in the fall. The land is just beautiful and the yurt has everything you need to feel comfortable. Very secluded as well. And clean! I was excited about all the solar and composting toliet. Highly recommend!

We had fun staying at the yurt! It was fabulous to have a full kitchen setup complete with fridge, a light, a fan, and an outlet. Outhouse was nice too. Bugs were heavy and the path to the BR could use a solar light or 2. Overall, highly recommend this to those who need more than a tent but less than a cabin.

Perfect outdoor get away, right outside of Bayfield. Yurt was perfect - loved making a fire in wood stove and having coffee on the porch. We heard lots of wildlife - owls, coyotes and grouse. Hiked the Meyer’s Beach trail, and saw sea caves. Ate dinner at St James social, had great burgers at Morty’s Pub, mimosas and grilled cheeses at Pier Plaza. Perfect weekend!

We loved our winter adventure in the yurt. We appreciated that we had little to no cell service where we were at(AT&T), had the landline phone in case of emergencies, and that pretty much everything that's needed was provided. Ashley was great in answering a couple questions beforehand, and everything was clean and well cared for. Our kids (3 & 5) absolutely loved the yurt and being there. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Yurt and loved it! While there are 2 more sites around, you never saw or heard anyone else. Super private! Private fire pit with lots of wood, nice outhouse building, wood stove inside kept us nice and worm in chilly temps. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. Hope to stay there again! Maybe check out the dome next time 😎

My family and I enjoyed our time in the Yurt very much. It’s super private and secluded but close enough to Bayfield to be convenient. Furnished well to make “camping” easy which is my favorite type of camping. We enjoyed cooking over the camp fire but also used the stove. The outhouse was clean and fairly close to the yurt. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, so we may be back!

The yurt was perfect for our family of four. There was plenty of space for all of us and Ashley ensured that every detail was taken care of so we had everything we needed for our stay. Plus - everything was so clean! Such a great gem and so glad we were able to experience it.

Beautiful sunrise in bed! Way to go for glamping. Beautiful and comfy bed, snuggling warm at night. Lots of stars at night. After a day of rain, the tent still completely dry. So much to do nearby and great restaurants. Perfect location between East and west. Next time I will bring a pen to write in the guestbook. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful property!!!

We loved staying in the Twisted Twig yurt!! We were there for 6 days. Bathed in the lake. Brought battery operated fans. Traveled to many near by areas for day trips. There’s an artisan well in Cornucopia we filled our water jug with when we ran out. Outhouse was great. Can’t wait to come back!! Ashley, thanks to you and your family for sharing your beautiful property.

Ashley’s geodesic dome is a peaceful and secluded hideaway yet easy to find. It is surrounded by woods and wildflowers greet you as you follow the path to the door. The bed is one of the most comfortable in which I’ve slept!

Cute stay! Bring a fan in summer

The dome was a beautiful little escape! If you're visiting in summer, I would recommend bringing a battery-powered fan. The dome has windows and a vent at the top, but it does heat up considerably in the sun. Other than that, the furniture and decor gave a great ambiance and the wildflowers surrounding the area are magical.

The yurt was in a pretty, secluded spot and near to its own composting toilet/outhouse. Mosquitoes were bad this year with all the rain so it was nice to have a yurt vs. a tent. Kids enjoyed the loft. Close to a nice beach on the lake, and there were no mosquitoes at the lake front.

We had such a lovely stay on Ashley's land. The area was quiet and the yurt was beautiful. The outhouse was extremely clean and one of the nicest I have ever used. My 2.5 year old loved being able to run around outside and make s'mores over the fire. Our infant just enjoyed being there and looking at all the trees and looking up at the dome inside the yurt! We definitely recommend family visits here!

Geodesic Dome Escape!

It was a very peaceful stay! My boyfriend and I enjoyed getting away from everyday life and enjoying nature. This was made easy by staying at the Geodesic Dome and seeing the Northern Lights straight from our bed, to the waves hitting the shore of Meyer's Beach. 10/10 recommend for any couple!
