We loved our time at the Lantern Camper. We love tent camping, but were very happy to have a beautiful trailer with A/C during the 90 degree weekend. The trailer very comfortable and well kept. We would definitely stay again!

We booked Kayla’s camper for one evening—and it surpassed our expectations. We were greeted with the AC on, a thank you notes, and homemade cookies. The camper was so clean and nestled in a nice little spot. We enjoyed the peace and quiet before heading to a concert nearby. Even met the rooster walking through. The land surrounding it was beautiful and it bumps up to a Prairie Preserve on one side. Would recommend this site to anyone.

Kayla’s property was beautiful. There is space for pull behind camper or wonderful tent camp location that is secluded. Kayla and her daughter made and presented us with homemade cookies in a jar, portable water for many things, offered us a portable shower if we needed on and flowers for a spool table that is in camping location to eat on. Sommerset is not far from Kayla’s location and Kayla presented us with local options to eat and go to... one of which was Oliphant Brewery. Have great and even some unique and tasty brews. Now tied for 2nd favorite of mine. There is a park and trails not far away. We visited Osceola Wis river side and stillwater mn river side of river. Found Rustic Roots winery not far from William O'Brien state park on mn side of river. Great wine there too. We hiked in William O'Brien state park as well and had a blast with our dog. All in all our vacation was wonderful and our stay at Kayla’s hazzel hills place was great. Would recommend to any and all!

Hazel Hills Campsite
Kayla was an excellent host, and we would definitely stay at Hazel Hills again! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay! Her property is very peaceful, and was a great place to escape! We enjoyed our time there very much! The fresh baked cookies and dog treats were greatly appreciated! The tent site is nicely secluded and offers privacy. We camped in our small teardrop, so we were parked near the small chicken coop. They were fun to watch as they roamed about the yard. She checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return to Hazel Hills!

Site was fantastic. The pictures and description don’t do it justice. Really private tent site and great trails to take a hike connected to the site. Host was super friendly and brought us cookies. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect spot to camp for a peaceful and quiet night. Just 10 minute from the Somerset Amphitheater and near the Apple River, we were able to go out and enjoy the sights but also able to come back at night and sleep without disruptions. Kayla was so sweet and her personal touches to the site really make it a welcoming and warm place to stay. Highly recommend this site to anyone!

I would like to give a Shoutout to Kayla for Hazel Hills . We were looking for a site that was close to Somerset, but away from the town. Hazel Hills was perfect. We had a camper and we’re happy that they had 30 amp hook-up. The directions to find the property were spot on. We set up camp and soon after Kayla and her 2 daughters came and gave us a jar of awesome cookies and suggestions on sights to see and places to eat and gave us a tour of the property. It was so fun to get to talk to them . They have trails to hike, along with a golf driving range with balls to hit into the field. The field is beautiful. They also have chickens that wander around the site. They are very close to the Somerset Amphitheater, great concerts . The Oliphant Brewery is a must …very small but good beer and a food truck .Tubing the Apple River .. Kayla and her daughters were great hosts and we will return!

The land was beautiful and clean. We were hyped to see the chickens! Kayla left us a mason jar full of chocolate chip cookies, which were tasty and was very cool. There’s no actual toilet like it says in the description, but there is a camp toilet on site and a portapotty a maybe 2 minute drive away. We booked this site because we traveled to see a show at the somerset amphitheater, and this place is like a 5 minute drive from the amphitheater grounds, it was really nice to be able to camp instead of getting a hotel for the night. Over all, great place! Would absolutely recommend

Serene prairie walkways and chicken Coop were pleasant surprises. The 30 Amp helped our trailer camper stay cool during 90+ degree days.

The camping spot was nice and level with a good flat spot for the tent and nice shade trees. We had a wonderful girls weekend on this beautiful property. Bonus that it was dog friendly! Kayla was so friendly and responded quickly to my messages. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Set in gorgeous somerset,WI , the lush green landscape had me thinking right away I had made the right decision. Hazel Hills is named After Joe and Kayla’s well behaved and leashed Golden Retriever. I rolled up my 20 ft travel trailer and was told to pick a spot. Only 8 miles from Stillwater, MN and 30 miles from downtown Minneapolis I had plenty of food options and did some outside BBQ ing. I felt very safe and found both of my host to be just the right amount of friendly. I was there for 10 days and I will definitely be back . Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome .
