Nice and secluded campsite surrounded by trees which was far enough back to be unseen from the road. There was hardly any road noise and boy were the stars out!

This was a pretty nice camp stay for the price. I appreciate a very affordable site. Not a whole lot of extras, we didn't mind that always come prepared ourselves and that's the way I like to camp. I found it pretty funny that there was a storage area for firewood but no fire wood. That would have been nice to offer even if there was an up charge for it. The site is across the street of the owners home in assuming but the drive way is long enough you really are too your self for the most part besides noise. I was pretty annoyed that they decided to mow their grass at 9am. You should know someone is staying here and check out is at 11. Just ruined our quiet morning getting ready, was a big let down. Another issue I had was there is a chain across the drive way that you have to unlock, that's great... However huge spider was on it and it's web., again you know someone paid for this spot and what time check in is, would be nice to go clean up the area make sure everything is ready and neat including weeds and things that could be poison ivy.. I appreciate there only being one cite so that's a huge plus. Over all it was a nice stay, but the noise is the morning will probably stop me from booking here again unfortunately. It's so hard to find a campsite that's truly quiet and too your self.

The area is about 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, but if you aren’t interested in going there, there is plenty to do around the area. I recommend checking out Dirty Turtle and Ship Wrecked. There is a lake near by, we didn’t get to check it out due to the weather being o the colder side, but it looked like a busy and nice lake. State parks within driving distance. The campsite itself was just what we needed. Had a fire pit, far enough back in the woods to feel secluded, tables/chairs and more was also provided in the shed on the site. It’s a quiet neighborhood, with the exception of the few planes flying over head. Overall, great camping experience, would definitely recommend this place.

Super sweet little private campground, we enjoyed our peaceful evenings around the fire and short walks in the forest. It was nice to have a little compost toilets and shed filled with bug spray. The bug were super bad when we were there.

The site was easy to get to. It was close to the road and well screened by the woods. There is another camp site to the west that you could barely see it was not occupied during my stay. The neighbors did shot firework on one night. I found the site relatively quite and private. I found plenty of hiking opportunities around Necedah. The site was clean and well laid out. I have a Roof top tent.

To start, the host was extremely nice and responsive. The site was unfortunately trashed and we were unable to stay. We ended up having to get a hotel under such stress. If the site was clean, it was a nice exclusive spot that we wouldn’t have minded. Fair warning if you do stay, it’s incredibly buggy.

Great secluded and quiet site. The mosquitoes were pretty bad - but Susie warned us ahead of time and we’ve had similar experiences with the mosquitos when we stayed at Castle Rock State Park. We did t get an opportunity to venture off the campsite on the property due to weather and other plans offsite.

This was a great little camping spot. Far enough from the interstate to not have the traffic noise, and close enough to be convenient for a place to spend the night. Good large fire pit. Lots of trees, and privacy. Would definitely stay there again.

Susie has a nice spot about 10min from Necedah. It's tucked back away from the road which is great and they have a small shed with extra chairs and a few other items to borrow. Overall enjoyed our stay and would book it again!

We booked glowconsin to test out our backpacking tent close to home and had a nice stay. The location was quiet, private, and close to a few pretty parks. Although we didn't use it, they did have power hookups available which would be nice if you're bringing a small camper!

Great fire ring, great for outdoor cooking.
Great area for camping and accessibility to the lake.
The toilet was too full for comfort to use, so keep that in mind when arriving.

The pit toilet was neglected to the point of unusability... We had to dig our own latrines to squat each time. Also, no effort was made to afford privacy around it. That would've been an easy thing to do.
There was a huge fire pit, but no picnic table. There were three folding camp chairs (one very chewed up by rodents).
We ended up squatting round the fire, using cinder blocks as tables for food prep.
We'd come to camp in tents. This is maybe an okay site if you come in an RV, but it kinda sucked for tent camping.
Also next door (across the street) neighbors are into target shooting. Maybe that's great if you're into that, too.. or just a 2nd Amendment fetishist, but we found it pretty unsettling / not relaxing.

It was a nice site, very private and we enjoyed being close enough to the lake to walk (20 min). The pit toilet was not usable and we would have liked to have could have a table for games and meals, but we had what we needed and the items in the shed were helpful. Unfortunately, it was not so quiet as some neighbors were shooting guns much of the first evening, others played their music rather loud, and fireworks the second night. No trouble finding the place and the host made it smooth and easy.

We love unique and private campsites that are close to local hiking trails. This spot was absolutely perfect for us. It is located only a few minutes away from some local towns with great antique shops and some amazing hiking trails. We enjoyed the privacy Susie’s spot offers even though it was pretty close to the road. The fire pit is HUGE and the shed was very useful! Having the electric hookup was the cherry on top. We have been traveling with our vintage camper so it worked out perfectly. Will definitely be back again!

Overall, solid camp site. Close to the water but also isolated and not around other campers. Please keep the entering driveway clear as it was overgrown and branches scratched our car.

We enjoyed our stay at Glowconsin. There was plenty of room for our small teardrop trailer and our friend's tent. Driveway is a bit narrow so likely wouldn't have wanted anything much larger as far as RVs.
Site is nice and private - you can't see other houses/road. Star gazing was great at night. You can hear road noise - road was pretty busy the weekend we were there (Memorial Day); but it quieted down at night.
Location was great about 5-10min drive to Buckhorn State Park. Boat launch was about 1 mile away, could be walkable but again road was pretty busy. We also enjoyed nearby dog beach.
Toilet situation was not great although workable. Shed had some helpful tools but we brought most of the stuff we needed.
Overall, especially given the price, this site was a nice getaway for some car camping.

Overall, we made the best of it.
The host:
Unfortunately, I can't speak about the host much because we never met her. Personally, I prefer meeting the host initially especially since it is the internet...you never know.
The positives:
The campsite was very large and would accommodate large groups. The rv hook up was accessible, but far from the fire pit. The area for tents was generally clear. And, many items (i.e. mower, axe, etc.) were available in the shed.
The negatives:
The surrounding area was extremely overgrown with poison ivy. The pathway to the shed, around the shed, and to the pit toilet (a generous name) were covered/lined with poison ivy. The pit toilet was a seat on the ground and a hole beneath it. There was no covering/room like a pop up tent or porta potty.
The driveway to the site was also overgrown with many weeds reaching my knee. With that said, our SUV was able to make it through. The entrance has a cable gate with a lettered lock. The lock was not easily maneuvered (perhaps older and weathered damaged) and the lock post area was surrounded by overgrowth about my height.
We originally selected this location due to the proximity of the lake. Unfortunately, the lake is not accessible by foot. We had to drive to all lake locations (i.e. boat launches and shores). The nearest boat landing was down the road and definitely not a short or safe walk (on a main road).
Down the road there is a resort area which puts on weekend shows. This was loud but did not extend into the late evening (over by 10pm). The highway (main road) was loud but did not keep us up at night. The bugs (mostly mosquitos) were HORRIBLE. This is, of course, not the fault of the host but a warning if you plan to go later in the season.
Perhaps most upsetting was the strict rule we were given about trash, then finding the campsite to have some trash. The host states any trash left will result in a fine. Our initial arrival revealed paper kindling (an assumption) throughout the fire pit, and clearly it had blown out and around the campsite. The additional trash included cigarettes and bottle caps. We cleared this all up upon our departure to prevent getting fined and to leave the site in better condition than it was found.
Summary:
Overall, this is a good secluded/private site with little disturbance.
If you are okay with poison ivy, weeds, and lack of trails or lake access, want large fires, have a big group, then this is your site!
If you're like us, seeking hiking and fishing within walking distance, then this ain't your site. If you seek some maintenance, then this is not your site.
We most likely will not be back. But, we do feel the cost of the site was reasonable for what was experienced and provided. As a result, we may splurge to spend a little more and get something better to our expectations

Glowconsin is beautiful. The site is large and level. There's plenty of spaces for tents, Pop-ups, RVs, etc
The shed has any tool you may need for clearing a tent spot. The mower could use a good sharpening, but I was able to rake a good landing spot for my tent. Which I didn't end up using.

Pros:
Susie is fast to respond to messages.
She is not on site, which could be a con for some. I prefer an absent host because I camp alone to be alone.
The site is spacious and level.
The star gazing was amazing.
There is electricity and RV hook up.
The fire pit is huge. 6 ft diameter, maybe 7.
The shed is filled with all the tools you could want/need for camping.
Cons:
No phone service at the site itself. This was a real downer for me. I camp alone. I really need internet and phone for entertainment and emergencies. There is a very weak signal at the beginning of the driveway. So, I ended up putting my tent on the asphalt pad right inside the gate. I like to fall asleep watching a movie or documentary. I'm sure the neighbors across the street found this odd.
The toilet. Something is better than nothing, but I would recommend bringing your own toilet. Or be prepared to drive 5 miles to the gas station for #2s.
It's really low to the ground and unlevel. I'm too fat and out of shape to get down on it if I wanted to. I always bring my own toilet. So I had no intention of using it anyway.
Daytime noise. Nighttime is quiet. However, during the day you will hear road noise. I also heard children playing in the distance most of Saturday. Neither of these bothered me, but I know some people really look for peace and quiet. I had a Brewers double header on the radio that drowned it all out.
The firepit is huge. I know I listed this as a pro, but it's also a con. Unless you bring a few dozen pallets, or plan on spending hundreds of dollars on local firewood, there's no way you'll use the whole pit. That makes it hard for a group of people to sit around the whole pit. Everyone would be on one side trying to get close to the fire.
Will I return? Yes, but probably not alone. I depend on my phone way too much. Although, I did get the crazy idea of packing a TV and my PS4. That might keep me occupied without internet.
