Close to Snowshoe Mountain, at only 1 mile drive from the entrance to Snowshoe Mountain Resort. This is a great spot for mountain bikers and river lovers. So close to snowshoe and affordable makes this an easy decision. Also the wildlife, flowers, and river on the property make this a truly powerful place. There is some traffic and noise from the road but it quiets down through the night and all you can hear is the trickle of the stream. We have a lovely 20 acre are that has easy to pull up to camp sites and some that take a short walk but are able to camp right near the river bed. We offer camping for all ranges of groups and travelers. We have campsites for tents, cars and vans, big RV's and Trailers, and then group sized sites. Please contact us and we can accommodate you in any size or style. We have cheap options for the solo and travelers on budgets and we have some nice options to get furnished tents and private fireplaces, with private river views and beach/play areas. Contact us with any questions or comments. You can google us anytime and Snowshoe Valley Camping.

#6 Riverside - Rose Blooms

88%
(8)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
This site has is close the "The Shire", which is our riverside chill area with luscious grass to sit on next to our deepest swimming hole. Yet this site also has a path next to it to a private beaching area. We have cut a path the the multifloral rose bushes and will be adding more roses from around the world to create our own rose path to walk and smell the roses. This will be a site that develops and blooms over the next few years.

Shade & Seclusion #2

100%
(2)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
This campsite is on our east side of the main field. So it gets great shade in the morning. If you are a late sleeper or going to be hanging out at your campsite in the day time... This is the site you want. You can keep shade almost till 2pm some days. It has a nice fire pit and is backed up near the marsh so at night the frogs, birds, and animals will be the soothing sounds of silence.

#2 Riverside - Mint Patch

100%
(1)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
Creekside Hideaways Site #2 is a nice long flat rectangle shaped campsite where the grass carries a hint of mint when cut and walked on. This site is close to the river with your own private path to the river. It comes with a fire pit and gets a little bit of shade in the mid day from the willow grove that runs between your campsite and the river.

#3 Riverside - Meditation Rock

100%
(1)
Tent site · Sleeps 5
This is a smaller site in its size yet you can park across the road for a little more space if needed. We call this site, Meditation Rock because there is a rock that is down on the river. Unless the water is really high you can go and sit on this rock and be in totality with nature. It is one a spot in the river that has a high flow volume and makes a lot of noise. So great to meditation and just sit for a few minutes or as long as you want to. This site works great for couples or smaller parties that want to camp with the sounds of the river.

#5 Riverside - Hideaway Camp

100%
(1)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
This is the favorite site by many, as it has the most seclusion and feels more private than the other drive in camps. If you really want to feel alone with nature check out our walk in camps. The grass is really soft on this site and it overlooks the creek with short access to the swimming hole. There are no hookups or potable water at this site. Internet comes free for calls, messaging, and active needs, no streaming or scrolling. Internet can be provided at the recreation center and surrounding areas within the wifi reach.

#8 Car Camping - Budget Stay

100%
(1)
Tent site · Sleeps 5
This is a basic site yet it does have a provate path down to the river banks. It doesn't have much shade but is great for people on a budget or quick ins and outs. If you are going to say for the day you wont have a problem walking to the river and finding shade all day. There are no hookups or potable water at this site. Internet comes free for calls, messaging, and active needs, no streaming or scrolling. Internet can be provided at the recreation center and surrounding areas within the wifi reach.

This is a nice larger camp than #2 and has a barrier of trees blocking most of the camp. You can really tuck yourself away into this site. A favorite of campers that come back year after year, also a favorite for those staying for a week or longer.

#1 Riverside - Stay For A While

100%
(8)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 28 ft
Tucked beside the Big Springs river, a dense willow grove and some oak trees that cast some shade throughout different times of the day. This site is works well for pull behind campers as it is more rectangle than square. It also works well for trucks with a 10x10 canopy set up. Yet of course it handles tents and vehicles. I get a lot of longer term stays at this site, people really like this one. It is close enough to the river to hear the sounds and comes with your own private 20ft path to the riverside. This site is located further from the center recreation center and can be one of the quieter sites on the property. There are no hookups or potable water at this site. Internet comes free for calls, messaging, and active needs, no streaming or scrolling. Internet can be provided at the recreation center and surrounding areas within the wifi reach.

#4 Riverside - Group & Family Camp

RV/tent site · Sleeps 16 · Vehicles under 28 ft
This is the largest site we have on property. It is right on the water, where you can have a fire with a great panoramic view of the stream behind you. Watch the Blue Herons and other birds fly up and down the river as they fish for their daily meals. At this site there are also two large concrete pads. They are an old flooring to a barn so they are not completely level and have some cracks yet still a nice place to camp a trailer, or set up tens. This site is also surrounded by locust trees. I have seen 4 or more hammocks set up in this site before. It can also host about 6 vehicles and a pull behind trailer or camper under 30 feet. There are no hookups or potable water at this site. Internet comes free for calls, messaging, and active needs, no streaming or scrolling. Internet can be provided at the recreation center and surrounding areas within the wifi reach.

RV #1 - In & Out

100%
(1)
Vehicle site · Sleeps 7 · Vehicles under 40 ft
This RV lot is the first site that you get to0. It is easiest for larger RV's and trailers. If you have a smaller unit and can drive it around the field you can camp at other sites, yet if it rains for 4-5 days it can be difficult if you have a large rig. There are no hookups as this is just a campground and farm stay that is open to RV's, we are not an RV Park. If you want hookups look up Snowshoe Campground, or check back with us within the year. We are building and growing daily here.
