This Family farm is located in Cottageville, WV. It is owned and operated by my father Doug. We have had this farm since 1999. it’s primarily a cattle farming operation. We have tractors, cattle, old barns and new barns, hay fields, hilltops with great views, trails, a few ponds, berry bushes, and a great yard with a fire pit area under the giant silver maple tree. We don’t have any dogs but your is welcome. You will be welcome to enjoy the farm house porch and explore the entire farm, just make sure you shut any gates you go through. If you are interested, we have a studio apartment rental above the garage with its own private entrance that we also rent out. Additionally we have an RV that is also available for rental if you would like to invite your family and friends to join your trip and need extra space. Learn more about this land: We have a beautiful farm with access to 500+ acres to hike, ride atv’s, fish, and play. There is water and electric hookups next to our fire pit area. This is the end of the road so it’s very quiet and peaceful. You are welcome to bring your own atv’s and horses if you would like to use them on the property. Just make sure to notify us beforehand so we can have you sign a liability release. Located a few miles away Ripley Wv, there is a Kroger and Walmart for your shopping needs. RV lengths over 40’ are not advisable because of the 1 mile tight road you must go down to reach the farm.

We had a wonderful time staying there. The owners were supper friendly. We stayed a week, had a couple Chilly days, but the rest of the week was beautiful. Nice to see and shown how farm life is on the farm. Great time......

Peaceful getaway!
Wanting to visit here since 2021, we finally were able with a last minute reservation for Labor Day 2022. Graciously hosted by farm owner Doug, a friendly & generous person. Quick response time with his son Greg who manages the hipcamp communications. The end of road parking was level gravel & very peaceful. Easy electric & water hookup, a large picnic table for mealtime. We really enjoy fireside sitting, firewood was provided & we burned through a lot! We too we’re given a tour of some of the property until our quad overheated. Then Doug helped us get it running cool enough to get back to camp. We self toured more the next day until the overheat bug got us again. We also took our canoe & there is creek/river access only a few miles away, or an inland lake for paddling/fishing happiness. I use Go Paddling app for put-in ideas also. We also fished the farm pond, catching/releasing a handful of bluegill. Fun! Spa/hot tub access is granted to guests & a very soothing nightcap after a day of exploring. The hills, the meadows, the overall serenity of this camp was perfect! The cows grazing & multiple deer sightings were also wonderful to experience. Four thumbs up!

This place was way more delightful than we could have imagined! We got a great rv spot with full hook ups right under a huge maple. The views and wildlife were just beautiful. I highly recommend exploring the property, I wish we could have stayed longer to see the cows. I also would have loved to use the fire pit but it was just too hot. The grill they had came in very handy though. The hosts were super welcoming and helpful. We felt right at home. Certainly didn't want to leave and are planning to come back in the fall!

Quite camping, with so much to see!
Great place to stay. Location is amazing, Doug the host, is an incredibly nice person. The dogs loved it too. We would go back in a minute! Rode our UTV over the trails on the property. They were great. Doug is making new trails all the time. The scenery is beyond beautiful! There is an AirBNB on site also if you're not an RV'R. Something for everyone.

Mountaintop Gem
Spectacular! This property is amazing! The campsite is private and located at the end of a dead-end gravel road on top of a mountain. You can't get much more secluded than that with full hookup access! It was easy to hook up to water and electric and there is even a place to dump before you leave. No problem with phone service or internet access. There are trails thoughout the property to explore. The hosts are amazing! Very hospitable and friendly. You come as guests and leave as friends. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Little Slice of Heaven
You know you’ll be back when the wife says, “That was one of our top trips of all time!!” Don, our host was amazing. He helped us back into our site and made sure we had everything we needed. We were his first RV guests but he has been at this for a couple years hosting his Air B’n’B which I suggest everybody who reads my review should go check out. It was also AWESOME. But back to our camp. We parked on a freshly graveled DEAD END road at the top of the mountain by the home, only 15ft from 50amp power and water. The road was level and solid. We didn’t fear the rain, AND IT RAINED for 2 of our 3-day outing. We toured the local areas while the rain came down then came back to camp for a relaxing evening in the camper. On our final day, the sun came out and we had a perfect day. Don came out after breakfast and gave us a tour of his vast property; it literally is a little slice of heaven. If your lucky enough and he has some time, he may offer to show off his slice of heaven. Our camp had everything that you needed and nothing that normal RV camping offers. We had power and water, and a sewer (closer to the house) that we were able to empty into at the end of the weekend. We had ZERO neighbors, we could not hear any traffic, the only sounds were nature and an occasional Moo from one of the big friendly cows on the property. Ps. GREAT PHONE RECEPTION FROM OUR CAMPER. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FINDS ON HIPCAMP. BOOK YOUR RETREAT BEFORE EVERYBODY FINDS OUT ABOUT THIS HIDDEN TREASURE.
