Right off the 101 fronting Hood Canal, this cozy motel and RV park is 1 mile from Hoodsport and just down the road from Lake Cushman. It sits 30 minutes from the entrance to Olympic National Park with easy access to Staircase Trailhead and Campground. A quick hour and forty minutes from Seattle and you can watch orcas breach, salmon swim, and bald eagles fly! Our crew is kind, facilities clean, and amenities are quality. Brand new benches at each site that also fold to become a table! Amenities include beach access, barbecue facilities, coin operated laundry, hiking trails, observation decks, grassy meadow, a guest clubhouse with showers, and a boat dock. Guests also have access to a hot tub, a picnic gazebo, and a communal lounge. There are several different types of RV sites ranging from creekside, pull throughs, and water views. All sites are FHU (full hookup) and there is wifi/internet on site for RV guest use.

The Glen was even better than expected! The booking was easy and the staff were SO friendly and helpful. Our site was clean, easy to find and easy to access. There were so many amenities I didn’t even know to expect! I already recommended it to friends traveling out here.

Wonderful place with great sites that have all services available. Great family game area, pool table in the beautiful lobby and a hot tub that has great views of the Hood Canal. Our dog and I found a well established low impact trail that went quite a distance out into the woods with benches and a picnic table.

Great staff - really helpful & friendly! Wonderful spot to see the Canal - either clubhouse or private dock w/ big deck & seating. Nice amenities - coffee in morning, games, comfy seating in clubhouse. Clean showers w/ towels available.

What a great experience!

We really enjoyed this unique campground. It was exceptionally clean (I noticed they checked each site after a camper left and power washed the pad). The staff was very kind and helpful. The hiking trail behind the campground was really great and almost surreal! Our pup loved it! We will definitely be back soon!

Coho Cabin

We stayed in the Coho Cabins - what a luxury! Clean, upgraded, with every amenity you could think of, including a Nespresso. The park itself felt safe, with a nice spa-like hot tub with water views, great staff, and even games in the community area. Walk across the street to a deck with stunning views (you might even catch a glimpse of a seal) and a fairly quiet beach area. I spent many relaxing mornings on that deck. Only complaint is that the photos of the views from within the cabin are inaccurate - the cabins are stacked right next to each other, so there is no mountain or water view as advertised (just trees or the other cabins). Otherwise, such a nice experience.

Great weekend getaway

I couldn’t have planned a better weekend trip. The amount of fun my kids and I had was amazing. Great place to stay, I absolutely recommend it. There were lots of activities for my kids that were put on by the lodge as well as a movie and s’mores on the lawn on Saturday night. Can’t wait to come and do it again. Thank you to the management, you are fabulous hosts.

What an unexpected gem! Quite park right on the Hood Canal. We enjoyed fishing from the private dock! We really appreciated the well-kept shower rooms. Thank you for frequently cleaning. Friendly check-in. We stayed in an RV spot.

Such a great place to stay. Enjoyed the deck across the way on the dock and the deck next to the dog park area. We even got a little hike in on the trail to the back of the campground. Would stay again but have a car to get around. We came in a class A RV, not able to walk from there to restaurants, parks or anything. Beautiful views and well kept, showers were super clean and laundry room was tidy. Thanks for the great stay!

Recommend family friendly camping

We loved the club house, access to boat dock, and the friendly hosts. They made an extra effort to make the whole experience fun. What a treat watching an outdoor movie under the stars! The amenities are a luxury for camping: laundry, hot tub, WiFi, showers and flush toilets (clean too).

Gorgeous location!

I was struggling to find a place near Mt Rainier over 4th of July wknd, and ended up booking this place instead. I'm so glad I did, the drive up was absolutely gorgeous. The campground location was beautiful and peaceful, right on the water, with tons of oysters and clams along the shoreline. I went for a swim and there were several sea lions and two bald eagles near the pier! Hoodsport was very busy, with tons of people. But the grocery store was fully stocked, and they have a few cute shops and restaurants. The property itself was well-kept, nice bathrooms and showers and even has a hot tub and laundry. Despite it's small size, and tight camp spots (very close together), it never felt overly crowded. The lobby was gorgeous with a nice sitting area, games and a fireplace. It ended up being a great central spot—about halfway between Mount Rainier and Seattle, and not too far from the Staircase entrance to Olympic National Park. I loved my time here and would definitely stay again!

I am a solo camper and new to rv camping, I privately asked one of the workampers (older lady with long hair) to keep an eye out for me as I was pulling out because it was very crowded for the 4th; and I have a long rig. I told her I was embarrassed to ask for help and that there was a big crowd playing cornhole in front of my site and I didn’t want to disturb them, she then went over there and whispered to the group of people something and they all started watching me, then she asked another employee if he’d ever had to deal with this before and if he wanted to help instead of her doing it…it felt like she made it even more l embarrassing for me (making a spectacle out of it) so I told her to go. I enjoyed the location but that interaction made me Not want to go back there. Oddly the other guy the day before (Taylor) was very sweet and friendly.

This was a great space with full hook-ups! Coin-Op laundry on-site, free hot showers (very clean), helpful and kind staff + free wifi. They also had a hot tub which was a great feature. Would stay here again!

Perfect location! Close to a bunch of kid friendly hikes, Hama Hama and Hoodsport. The staff at Glen Ayr was friendly and helpful. The hot tub was great and the facilities were clean and working properly. Our kids had an amazing big time meeting and playing with other kids at the grassy area. They even supply a bunch of outdoor toys for the kids yo play with. Can’t wait to come back!

This was such an awesome place! All hook-up services were as described, and the amenities were even better than I expected. They have a great inside space, multiple gazebos, grills, showers, laundry, a dog park, the dock, and even a trail coming off the campground. We absolutely loved using the hot tub. They have internet, and I had good service here. We parked next to the creek, and you could see the creek from our backdoor, as well as hear the white noise sound. This place seemed very dog-friendly; we have two dogs, and it seemed as if many other people had cute, well-behaved dogs (everyone seems to clean up after their dogs and follows the leash rules, yay!). We weren't prepared to take advantage of the low tide, but it seemed as it would be a great place for shellfishing/oysters. They have a great monthly rate! It seemed as if a lot of people knew each other, or at least there was a nice community-vibe to it. You're also close to Hoodsport, which is an adorable town, and there's plenty of hiking about.

We stayed over for a few days. Easy access to the water (across the street) and a lovely view of the sunrise. Staff was very friendly and facilities are spotless. A short walk into town, though not much room at the side of the road. We had a restful and enjoyable stay

Highlight of our roadtrip! 💕🦪🌲

Highlight of our trip! We planned to stay 1 night but loved it so much we ended up staying 2. We had a campervan to sleep & Glen Ayr had everything else! Beautiful views, bathrooms, hot showers, towels, laundry (which we did use the dryer for our wet swimsuits and jackets before we left). The club house had a common kitchen, coffee ☕️, billiards 🎱 , board games, and friendly staff. Their dock had seals 🦭 in the early morning and the hot tub in the gazebo overlooking the fjord was incredible! It was close to multiple restaurants and shops, we enjoyed oysters 🦪 in town and up the road at Hama Hama. We loved Glen Ayr! Thanks for an epic stay!
