Nice quiet spot. The runway was neat. Saw a few planes land and a helicopter. Nice property. Good breakfast spot just down the road.

Camp Out at a Cool Airport
Our stay was great. Just what we needed. We had a family get together at a house on Deer Lake a few miles away and so we spent our days there. Richard’s site provided us a place to get away at night to relax and sleep. The site was level and the access was easy. We loved the peace, quiet and relative solitude. We’ll definitely keep this spot in mind for a future trips to Whidbey Island.

Very cool. Plane landing when we arrived was a cool bonus. Great place to lay our heads in our campers while attending the local Renaissance Faire. Will stay again. Thanks, Richard.

Another great stay at the airport that I couldn’t recommend enough for anyone seeking a quiet wide open space in the heart of South Whidbey. Spot is so easy to access and perfectly flat with great entertainment of seeing the small planes come and go every now and then. Easy ferry access and close to town for groceries or dinning.

Amazing spot on South Whidbey! In the woods but wide open with lots of room to roam around and very quiet outside of a few locals who were all wonderful to talk with. Parking spot was level and spacious enough for our van and motorcycle trailer (31ft) and allows turnaround without backing up. Excellent views of the night sky and super fun to watch the small air craft come in and take off. Another great feature is the bakery/cafe and coffee roaster just down the runway, which was perfect for morning snacks and only about a 5-minute walk. Host was great and accommodated anything we needed.

Convenient to the south part of Whidbey Island, dark and quiet at night, nearby Seabiscuit Bakery & Cafe for morning java, cute Langley a few miles away. Would recommend!

My husband and I travel and live full-time on the road and this was truly an interesting experience for us. It was neat to be right across the street from a small airport. This was a quiet spot for us to relax and it was on a road that sees very little traffic. Richard's property is big and gorgeous, the camping spot is in front of the land, close to the plane hanger, and right in front of the road. It's a great spot if you're looking for a last minute and quiet spot to camp out on or maybe if you're a huge fan of planes- you can witness a few smaller planes take off and land. Even so close to the airport, we did not hear much noise when night time came around. Not a busy airport by any means, so not a lot of noise during the day either. Our pug, Ollie loved that he was allowed on leash- he had a lot of fun sniffing playing and sniffing the bushes.
