Ann and everyone else there are all so so kind and her house/land is beautiful! The animals, especially the cats, were so friendly & loved to be pet. They are adorable! They also have cute ponies, chickens, & ducks. We were able to feed the ponies some apple slices. If you have the chance to visit and stay here you definitely should🐱✨💝 we will be coming back asap

We loved our time here! Elizabeth was super easy to book with. The campsite is as described, the kitties were cute and plentiful, and we had a great time. We’re excited to go back! Thanks so much Elizabeth!

This place was amazing! The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Gave us a print out of the layout and wifi password. If you are an animal lover this is the place, 4 mini horses, friendly cats, ducks, chickens and catfish in the pond. Site was well kept. No reception (which we love) but does have wifi. Bathroom is a outhouse and you put woodchips in afterwards. (We're Outdoorsy type so having a place to actually sit is nice. 😂) Close to Shenandoah National Park and Luray Cave. we would definitely stay here again, especially with our kiddos! See you next year!

If you’re a cat lover, Marigold Manse is a treat for you! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the sweetest little welcoming committee of friendly cats (and even a couple of ponies!) who are all under the care of the lovely Ms. Ann (she's really nice!).
The place is peaceful, quiet, and full of charm — the perfect backdrop to spend time with your new furry friends. Between the cozy atmosphere, the animals roaming around, and the chance to fish (CAT-fish) in the pond, and there's also a jacuzzi (be sure to ask if available to use). it truly feels like a hidden sanctuary.

We tent and hammock camped on Ann’s serene land for 2 nights. It was lovely from start to finish. If you love animals you’ll love marigold manse! Curious kitties lounge and play around and ponies are eager to say hello!
Ann is a superstar host! We’ll definitely be back.

Such a beautiful trip! Elizabeth and all her little animals are so welcoming. Weather was amazing in may (just bring blankets for the cold mountain air at night). We went to a near by boat launch that had a beautiful hidden area of the river to play in that was about 15 mins away with driving. Luray caverns, skyline drive, the state park- all super close drives.
Very toddler/ kid friendly. The site is mostly totally fenced in. We fit 4 tents spaced out comfortably even with the incline. The sun doesnt hit the tents until around noon- so perfect to not be blinded and sweaty when you wake up. Ponies and cats will come right up to the site looking for pets.
The kitchette has some extra blankets, microwave, mini fridge, toaster and a coffee maker that we didnt test to see if it worked. Some plastic cutlery too. The outhouse is like a porta potty. So if you’re sensitive to smells- keep that in mind.
But truly we recommend. It was the perfect mix of being secluded in a pony wonderland and still being able to have cool activities near by. Thank you, Elizabeth!!!

Ann, as many others have said, is a warm and lovely individual. Her animals are also welcoming and absolutely brought this trip to the next level (we love cats). The camping space is clean and decently large and there is plenty of firewood - as well as a fridge and microwave if you need it! I would absolutely come here again.

This was the greatest campsite of all time! The host was so so welcoming and the cats and horses were the highlight of our trip. We will definitely come back!

The host Ann, was absolutely wonderful and polite - however the place was a lot different than the pictures, and Instructions were unclear to destination, you are essentially in someone’s backyard which is fine however the place is pretty run down, and dirty. The animals are lovely, although not entirely friendly as my son got scratched up by a few of her cats and the goat was not friendly, and actually head butted my son and bruised him. I can see how this place was once beautiful, but it wasn’t worth the stay for me or my family. I’m sorry Ann, you were very lovely but this needs work.

Great place to camp. Plenty of space for the pups, a large tent, table and chairs we brought and the fire pit. Seeing the animals and getting to pet them was also awesome; along with the distance to Shenandoah NP. 10/10 Definitely recommend.

I love Ann’s property! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was warm and welcomed. The animals present on the property made the weekend even more enjoyable. Animal lovers will love it! Ann helped me dry shoes because they got soaked in the rain. She also lent me a pair of boots in the meantime. This Hipcamp is in a great spot if you want to visit Shenandoah NP and the Luray Caverns. I will be coming back 🙂

Welcome to Marigold Manse!
Let me start by saying our host was very sweet and hospitable, and the property has much to offer for for a specific population. The location was not bad, like 35 min to Shenandoah, National Park. The main issue we had with the pace was how close we were to several roosters that kept us up at night and the location seemed a bit run down. If you have a dog that doesn’t do well around other campers, it’s not a bad location

Elizabeth has set up such a unique and fun camping spot. We loved hanging out with the farm animals. My partner caught some giant catfish. We watched a gorgeous sunset and did some stargazing. Very peaceful spot on the mountain!

Welcome to Marigold Manse!
We had a nice time on our visit. We had what we needed for camping with two children and two dogs. We had the space to ourselves which helped with our dogs who tend to bark a lot when at more crowded campsites. My younger son loved all the animals and my older son liked being able to fish in the pond. It was nice to have things on site to entertain the kids while we set things up.

I’ll go in order. The farm animals are wonderful, especially the cats. I sat my four year old son down on the ground to put on his shoes, next thing I knew there were seven cats rubbing all over him. He was loving it. The rooster wasn’t an issue for me. My wife planned on sleeping in the car with our seven month old, while I slept in the tent with our four year old. My wife ended up not being comfortable in the car and they let her sleep in their horse tac room. She was much more comfortable in there. My wife also ended up draining our car battery during her night in the car. They were so kind to give us a jump.. THE STARS WERE AWESOME. I can’t say enough about their hospitality. Thanks for having us. Sorry for being a pain in the butt.

Welcome to Marigold Manse!
The description of Marigold Manse is pretty accurate! It is an active farm with all sorts of animals including kittens, chickens, a pony, ducks, a peacock, so if you're an animal lover you'll enjoy it here! I would recommend tent camping as the more serene area is not accessible by car, but there is a beautiful plot of land set aside for tenters.

Welcome to Marigold Manse!
Great first time using Hipcamp at Elizabeth's farm. Enjoyed having a campfire by the pond, using the sink and cheating with a mini fridge to keep some of our groceries cold. Ample firewood was available to keep a fire running for breakfast, dinner, and throughout the evening. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Camping at Marigold Manse was wonderful! Tucked away up in the holler, but so close to the many fun things to do in the area. The animals at her farm are very well-loved and kept, and bring even more personality to an already lovely place!

Elizabeth was extremely friendly and helpful! My guests and I arrived much later than planned and she stayed up to make sure we knew where to park and set up camp. Lots of friendly farm animals! Location is about an hour twenty from Shenandoah national park.

Wonderful place to stay - beautiful surroundings with lots of neat animals to see. Just a short drive to the Shenandoahs. The host and her neighbor/farmhard we’re both incredibly thoughtful and beyond helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

Elizabeth has such a beautiful place and greeted us warmly and showed us around. We enjoyed the setting and animals. The most striking thing was the beautiful view of the stars coupled with lightning bugs twinkling on the mountain that abuts the property. Lovely!

Great spot! Elizabeth was absent at my arrival, but her husband was present and he made sure I had the best spot possible. The place is great, full of different kinds of animal. And yes, the Rooster is present. You hear him. But he is soon georgous! I didn't mind it. But I'm a early riser in the morning. I highly recommend it!
