Narrow Gate Farm

Jim was friendly and welcoming. Campsite had fresh water, fire pits, and flat ground. Would’ve been great for stargazing but it was cloudy during our stay. Perfect for a quick and easy get away in the outdoors.

Cute site with horses!

Jim’s property is beautiful and the site was well maintained! He even provided free firewood and a hydrant to refill water :) I would definitely stay here again

The great thing about this location is the level parking! It was quite once the target practice in the woods ended. Peaceful morning until folks came to work right in front of the camper. Good for a quick overnighter.

We loved camping at Narrow Gate Farm! Jim and his family are so welcoming and accommodating. The farm is beautiful and the pool was such a nice refreshing treat on such hot days. We would absolutely camp here again!!

Fantastic experience! The swimming pool is such a nice amenity amongst the great campground site that they provide. Firewood is provided for free and it’s a gravel lot which means no mud! Can’t recommend enough.

Great Farm! Jim met us and directed to Site 5 up the hill, with nice view. 50 Amp power was just we needed to cool off the trailer. Traveling with an Airstream 27FB

My son, his friend, and I had a nice stay at Narrow Gate Farm. It’s really beautiful there. The pool is very nice and the kids had a great time playing in it. We were in a tent near site 10, a relatively new spot as I understood it from Jim. It had water and electricity and a great view. Jim and Cindy were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of firewood to use at no cost, two port-o-potties on the grounds, and a conveniently located trash dumpster.

Great directions, easy to find. Host greeted us and showed us where the connections were located. Beautiful camp spot on top of the hill. Very quiet. Overall a great experience.

Great Farm Stay

We had an amazing stay at Narrow Gate Farm! The site was spacious, easy to access, and equipped with 50 amp power and water. The kids had a blast playing with the friendly farm dogs and the host, Jim, was incredibly friendly and easy to reach if we needed anything. It’s a peaceful, well-kept spot with beautiful views. We’ll definitely be back!

Site 1 - Narrow Gate Farm

Camping on a working horse farm was great. Friendly dogs would visit our campsite to play. Black lab was inexhaustible playing fetch. Jim was very friendly and offered us firewood and help if we needed anything.

We stayed at the horse arena site, there was no shade, but thankfully it was not too hot. Water spigot was near by, and the porta potty was far enough but not too far! Overall the stay was great! Just note that there were loose dogs on property that seemed friendly.

Quiet spot with access to lots!

We actually stayed two weekends at this site with a trip into DC between. We would highly recommend it! Jim was great with making sure we had all we needed. It was a lovely, quiet place to relax with ready access to Shenandoah, Manassas battlefield and DC which were all on our list! It's definitely on our list if we make it back this way!

Affordable farm stay

Overall, the trip was a good experience. Stayed one night at Narrow Gate Farm. Our spot was at what we believe to be site #5, sites were not numbered or identified clearly. The site was not private with views of the family home and farm equipment to include a morning surprise by what may have been a neighbor who was watering the neighboring horse at the site. Silver lining was having electric and water which is a luxury for us. Owner greeted us upon arrival and provided firewood for the evening, another positive. Directions to the location were not clear, partly to the fault of GPS-be aware if you follow gps it will want to take you “left on Lantern Lane”, rather, it will be a right so don’t make our mistake and follow the GPS towards the end just keep and eye out for the street signs. Overall enjoyed walking the property and seeing the horses, just not as private as prior reviews led on. Property is very dog friendly and the sweet lab will want you to play fetch, if that is not your thing to is may not be the spot for you.

Great stay on Jim’s farm. We had a lovely walk, played with his friendly dog Tilly, pet the horses, and just enjoyed the fresh air. Recommend for a laid back, low key stay!

Friendly host that greeted us upon arrival and showed us the hookups. Peaceful setting. Nice walk into the trees and around the property. 100% would recommend and hope to return. Below freezing weather and we really enjoyed ourselves.

After a long day driving - the host was responsive and helpful. I was able to setup and get settled. It’s something special when light pollution isn’t in the night sky and what a beautiful night I was given. Love the simple camp setup the host has. Perfect!
