We stayed for one night. We were booked at site 2, but Sydney let us move to site 1, which was larger and easier to level. The location is beautiful. Amazing views and very quiet. It’s a short drive to downtown Lexington, where we went for dinner. We were passing through, so didn’t do anything else. Sydney was quick to respond when we reached out. Would definitely stay again.

As a repeat guest for 3 years now, Mane Gait Equestrian Center is one of our top favorites on Hipcamp. It is so beautiful & peaceful . Wide open sky for star gazing, surrounded by beautiful mountains in the distance. Hook-up is easy for Elec & water. Maybe a little un-level in spots for larger RVS but no complaints here ! This last stay; we booked an extra night to go hiking locally, visit Lexington and local breweries ! Many excellent trails to choose from & Natural Bridge State Park is worth the visit too!

Please let me preface this with the fact that most hip sites or harvest Hosts that I use are just an overnight. So I do not unhook. Site two would be difficult unless you have a very long electric line. Other than that, you would need to do some serious leveling. Luckily for me site one was available. This site was perfect right next to the barn. Very level.
The location is beautiful! Right off the highway there is a KOA that you would probably pay more than double for. This Hipcamp is only a couple of minutes down the road from there. The scenery is lovely. It was very quiet. You could not hear the highway. I would highly recommend.

The equestrian center was very well kept. We didn’t use the horse barns, but they looked very clean. We rooftop & tent camped. The location was nice semi private. It is off the main highway so it was a bit noisy throughout the night. The bathroom is in the main office about a quarter mile from the camping section. Primal, but not secluded.

Beautiful and peaceful spot, and site 1 had a lovely sunset view as well as sunrise over the mountains! We enjoyed some solitude after a night at a more crowded park. Easy communications with the host, plug in adaptors available. A great spot for a quiet night!

Syneys place was exactly as described. It has a beautiful view and it was awesome hanging around near horses for the week. I will say, on the warmer days there are c several flies around. But otherwise, it was an amazing place to stay.

Beautiful views, peaceful surrounding and friendly & attentive host! Would certainly stop again. Very convenient to I81 (which means there is some faint road noise) but the view more than makes up for it. 🤩

This place was amazing. A very short trip from rt81. I think it’s over 100 acres and it was so wonderfully beautiful. There were a couple horses in the stables and it was pretty cool to pet them. There was water and electric hook ups but I don’t think sewage. The only negative was that the spots aren’t very flat if you needed electric. But the pros far outweigh that. I’ll add pics

I loved seeing all the horses and taking a walk before retiring for the night. Sidney was very helpful when they accidently over booked and found me a place to park my campervan for the night.

Our very first Harvest Hosts stop did not disappoint! We parked at Mane Gait Equestrian Center in Virginia, a working horse farm with jaw-dropping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We didn’t arrive until after 6 pm. Reserved same day. Instructions were great. We would definitely stay again.

The site is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the mountains and the horses. The site advertises a bathroom and picnic table, but they were not near the site and we did not know where to find them. Having access to a bathroom and picnic table was one of the main reasons I booked the site. I messaged the host, but we got in late and didn't hear back until after we had left in the morning. They said they were going to revise the instructions to include info on the bathrooms and picnic table in the future.
It is perfect for an enclosed RV or campervan that has a bathroom and doesn't need any amenities. Also, there is a cute diner just down the street where we had breakfast and it was great!

Absolutely beautiful horse farm allows campers to park near two barns with picturesque views near water spigots (and a short walk to a bathroom in another barn. Great experience and Sydney was very responsive.

Mane Gait is an extremely well-maintained, working horse farm, with beautiful views and comfortable accommodations. We camped at site 2, and had no problem finding a level spot for our pop-up. We explored some of the trails around the land and got to pet some beautiful horses, too! There is a a flush toilet if needed, access to electricity and a water source. Sydney was very helpful and quick to answer questions. Directions to the campsite, as has been noted by other campers, can be a little confusing, but Sydney will sort you out right away. We also recommend stopping by the Pink Cadillac Diner for a meal or ice cream!

Our stay at Mane Gait was too short but perfect for what we were needing, which was a place where we could stay overnight while traveling home on Route 81 without having to unhitch our trailer. The directions were clear, the location had gorgeous views, and with a water and 50-amp hookup we were all set. Wish we had time to stay longer - maybe next time! Would definitely recommend.

I really like this stay, the location is very peaceful I stayed in the meadows. The view is majestic, I had the good luck to have few clouds in the night sky so the starts were alive. No camera can do justice to the experience looking at the starts in a dark sky from your tent!

this place is more stunning than I could ever imagine! got there in 10ish w my pup, set up tent, said hello to a few quiet horses watching me set up my tent, slept under stars, felt safe having horses watch over us! woke up to a magical sunrise view of the mountains, green pastures blowing in the wind and then i even got to watch a dressage show and mingle w some really amazing dressage riders of all different levels!

This is a beautiful and very well maintained equine facility. I stayed one night at Site 2. Sydney was very responsive to my short notice request for a stay and messages sent once onsite. The 30amp service worked. Water was available if needed to add to a freshwater tank. I did not put any slides out because I was not able to level well enough, but I also arrived as darkness fell, so timing was limited for adjustments. Site 1 appears as easier to level at.
