My wife and I had a great time! We were minutes from the James river and the camping site was nice and private.

We had a wonderful time. The kids absolutely loved the creek, and we could barely keep them out of it. The wagon we brought was a lifesaver on the hill. Can't wait to come back again and stay longer!

We had a wonderful time at this site! Our weather app said RealFeel 106 degrees, and we were SO happy to be nestled in a shady creek bed where it was at least 10 degrees cooler. It was easy to get to and quiet, and we were visited by a very bold green heron and red shouldered hawk. Great experience! The creek is beautiful and was so fun to explore. Would definitely go back!

We had a fantastic time! The site was very private down the hill. My dog loved sniffing around and I felt comfortable with her off leash. The creek was fantastic for the dog and kid to play in! The James River was so close and we spent a while swimming and fishing. Perfect for campers looking for some privacy but with plenty near by! Adding to our list of favorites for sure!

We enjoyed tent camping down by the creek! The babbling creek was very relaxing as we sat by the fire and ate. Even after a torrential downpour the day we arrived, the site drained well and was not terribly muddy. Very well Maintained site. Courtney was very responsive to all of our questions.
The hill to get to the campsite can be a bit steep. I would recommend bringing a wagon to pull your things up and down.
10/10 would go again

It was beautiful! My only recommendation would be to bring a cart with large tires to help move gear from where you park to the site. It is a rather steep hill. It is very private and all the vibes were amazing.

Private little creekside clearing. Stone fire ring for your fire but not much else other than space to arrange your site and relax.
I never encountered anybody during my stay, and felt very private. Just what I was looking for.

Courtney was very responsive and helpful; the spot is a great secluded place perfect for a small group, but it was also near enough to civilization to grab anything you need.

Just a wonderful spot… me and my friends really enjoy the isolation, nature sounds and the running creek right beside us. Just a little walk up the hill, you can see the night sky with a clear view without the light pollution.

Such a cute little spot!
Very private and secluded, but not too far from civilization to be scary lol.
Our dog loved splashing around in the creek, and the running water was a very peaceful noise to fall asleep to.
While we didn't end up needing the host for anything, she was very kind, sent us well wishes, and assured us she'd be available if we had any questions.
The site is at the bottom of a hill, which ended up being ~10 degrees cooler than at the top of the hill. I bet that's great in the summer, but be wary in the spring (we went in April) as it can be pretty chilly!

Sarah was a wonderful host! Her spot is perfect for tent camping! We camped in our van and made that work as well. The land was beautiful! If you camp in a vehicle you can see the hosts home however we still had complete privacy!

Overall, we had a great time. Pros: plenty of solitude, creek is perfect for toddlers and kids as it’s only a few inches deep and you can walk right in, host very accommodating with a compost toilet and kindling, plenty of room for my 6 man tent, and lots of trees for a hammock. Fireflies in the field nearby were awesome and plenty of darkness to enjoy the stars. Cons: The hill to get down to the camp site is a little devious, it’s a bit of hike. Careful bringing too much stuff and bring a collapsible cart if you have one. Definitely a wooded area with a grass field nearby so we found a lot of ticks. Again, the kids loved it and we enjoyed our stay.

Loved staying at the field of dreams. Courtney and her husband were great host. The property was easy to find for us. Be sure to read the instructions. We had a small hike down a semi-steep hill and it rested at a cute creek with beautiful water sounds and a great spot to pitch our tents. The fire pit was nice to close out the evening with. I'd stay again if in the area.

Perfect for what we wanted!! We have a tent that attaches on the back off our tundra so we sleep in the bed of it.. We wanted a safe place to stay and some peace and quite! We got all of that and above!!! Courtney and her husband Jacob were very welcoming! We had total privacy at the back of their property. We walked down to the stream and checked it our. It was very nice but we didn’t really spend much time down there. We would definitely do it again!!! Thank you Courtney and Jacob for letting us to enjoy your property!!!

We had such a great time camping here. The site is well-maintained, private & so peaceful. Courtney was helpful, kind and very accommodating. We loved getting to stay here & would definitely recommend this site to others for a relaxing get away.
