Cherry Hill Farm is part of the old Irving estate property, conveyed by John Henry Irving's wife, Laura S. Irving by deed dated 1883. The Irving's came to Cartersville in the 1870's. Laura Irving was raised in the Tavern in historic Cartersville. The land was pasted to Laura's daughter, Melind I. Fleming in 1925. The family cemetery and headstones are still present on the property. The current residence sits on the site of the original farm house that burnt down in the 1970's. Later the property served as a veal farm before becoming a private residence. Deep Run Creek runs through the 92 acres and flows year around. The terrain has hills, pasture, ponds, and boasts an abundance of wild blackberry bushes, walnut, dogwood, cherry, pine and cedar trees. Even though the previous owner logged much of the property in 2018, we are allowing natural vegetation to come back while also trying to clean up the logging remnants to ensure a serene and private camping experience.
