Private Camper on Countryside Farm
Josh and Becca are very friendly and welcoming. The camper we stayed in was very nice and modern. Our 6 yr old daughter had a blast playing with Josh's kids and the zip line. I would recommend staying here if you enjoy the outdoors and animals.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the RV! It was myself, one other person and our 3 dogs. We came from a city area up north looking for a secluded, peaceful getaway and we found it. Josh was an excellent host! The RV was spacious, well stocked and comfortable. We were close to activities in nearby towns as well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and looking up at the stars outside the RV. We would definitely like to plan a future stay here.

Had a great stay on Josh's farm. The host and his family were very friendly and helpful. Our kids had fun exploring the farm and seeing all the animals, and there was plenty to do in Lovettsville and Brunswick while we were there.

Private Camper on Countryside Farm
The RV was spotless!! The view was of a beautiful, north-facing mountain ridge. If you are interested in night sky events this is your answer. Everything I needed was in the RV. I loved seeing the long-horned cattle and the beautiful big red barn as well as meeting Josh and family. They were very welcoming.

My wife and I loved tent camping on Josh's land and Josh was a perfect host. There are few better experiences than dining on pan-seared steak by a hot campfire while gazing up at a beautiful star-filled night sky--especially when your camp site is in such an extraordinary country setting as here! If you're looking for a wonderful time in the great outdoors, you need to visit here!

Great location, very rural and quiet, yet close to Lovettsville, VA (lots of nice coffee shops and restaurants). The host is very helpful, flexible and laid back.

I always love staying at Josh's Farm! It is well situated to nearby Flying Ace Brewery/Distillery, Harper's Ferry, and historic Leesburg. Highly recommend!

This was a convenient campsite for us to stay at before we went backpacking in Shenandoah. We weren't able to stay in the woods because of hunting season but we stayed in the field. Although we were near the house, it still felt private and we had everything we needed (firewood, bathroom access, water). After we set up our tents, we had dinner/drinks at Vanish Brewery (15 minutes away), which was awesome. Josh was very responsive. Would stay again!

Facilities are very primitive. Not a real sewer connection, connect to portable sewer tank. Due to layout of campsite extremely difficult to make connection.

Josh was very helpful in setting up an area for us to have a firepit and wood for the evening. We really enjoyed the evening and appreciated Josh's hospitality. Recommend his sites for camping or just for the evening like we did.

I brought my 5 year old son here for 1 night to test how he would do in a hammock. Josh pointed us to trees in the side field, and one set was perfect for hanging two hammocks side by side. Josh dropped wood fireside. Good trip, fun night. Plenty of personal space. We're ready for the back country!

This place was perfect. We barley knew there were other campers on the property. So beautiful. Josh was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. :)

I booked a campsite at Josh’s the night before and it was accepted. I messaged him to introduce myself and explain my plans for the trip. I got no response.
The next day, due to an unfortunate turn of events I had to cancel. According to the cancellation policy I shouldn’t expect a refund but I messaged Josh explaining my circumstances in case he would consider still giving me a refund. I still got no response.
So based on my experience which is limited to trying to establish communication with Josh, the host, It was pretty terrible. I cannot say whether the campsites are good or bad since I never went. But I expected at least a single response from the host.

Great stay, again. Lovely and quiet
location but only 10 mins from a top class restaurant (Lovetsville), woods, open fields…a farm. Toilet facilities and water access was limited due to a burst pipe or similar but we roughed it. Josh was a good host as always. We will return.

First, let me start out by saying that Josh is a very nice guy and his land and campsites are beautiful (I can't remember the last time I saw a night sky filled with bright stars!)
However, upon arrival, Josh (who was out of town) told us the shower was broken, didn't know when it was going to be fixed (OK, we're just staying 2 nights, we can deal). He said there was the outside toilet facility (white colored) and the out-house/Port-a-Potty (red colored).
Well, upon visiting these facilities later that afternoon, here's what we found:
1. The toilet facility was an overflowing trash can, with trash/used toilet paper all over the floor. Then I lifted the lid to the toilet and it was full of #2 (barf...). Tried to flush and it almost overflowed...
2. The out-house/port-a-potty was almost filled to the top with waste and there were spider webs (with spiders) going from the sides of the walls covering the toilet seat.
It's a good thing that we brought a roll of toilet paper, grocery bags, a very sturdy camping shovel, pruning shears and work gloves, to dig our own latrine in the woods (Note: We packed out any used toilet paper in the grocery bags and after doing our business, layered a bit of dirt to eliminate the smell and flies and filled the hole with dirt prior to leaving. Also, if you have to do this, please remember not to dig your hole near a stream or other water source)
(Josh, I hope you can regularly check and clean your toilet facilities. It must have taken a long time for that port-a-potty to get to that level....)

I felt that the site itself was ideal. In fact, there are enough site variety that the property likely has what you’re looking for (i.e. grassy open site or more secluded wooded areas). Property is picturesque. Only thing I’d recommend is to take a vehicle with high ground clearance as some of the sites go over rough terrain to access. You CAN do it in a smaller car; it’s just not ideal.

Camp Loudoun was very charming. We booked very last minute and Josh was very quick to respond and help us out. He was very friendly at check in and made sure we had everything we needed. The campsite itself was exactly what we were hoping for, and we would 100% visit it again. Thank you, josh!

Josh was very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The level of primitivity was great. The only suggestion I would make is, to keep the provided restrooms and showers cleaner.

Although information about the property was limited, with so many gleaming reviews we were confident in our choice to stay at Camp London. However, I wish we had clarified some important details ahead of time. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and practically had the whole place to ourselves except for some campers parked near the entrance and an apparent basecamp for a few other guests that we never actually saw. That may have been because it was raining for a few days straight, or because prices had DOUBLED to $100/night, or both! We were already set on this property, and it was close to the hiking we wanted to do, so we were willing to shell out the extra cost. The property is really a working farm with some space set aside for camping, so don’t expect the experience to feel anything like an organized or attractive campground with amenities. As soon as you drive in and past the house, you’ll find old barns and tractors and cattle, with men working the grounds. We appreciated the host’s introduction and hospitality, explaining the lay of the land, and the offer to provide firewood (a little expensive at $10 per very small bundle). However, we were disappointed to find that the showers were not available after all (undergoing maintenance/improvements it seemed). Also, the toilet wasn’t exactly pleasant, housed in a shed that was dark and dirty with little privacy from the surrounding campers. Unless you’re close to the house, it’s a bit of a hike to get there, so we actually drove whenever we needed to use the toilet. The campsite itself, however, was pretty fantastic. Although we were tent camping, our space was one of the RV-sized spaces, though there was no table or fire ring (except for some broken cinderblocks). Aside from the muddy conditions, we were totally secluded with a hayfield one way, a cattle field the other way, and a babbling brook separating us from the cows which we could hear all night. So overall, it was a nice place to camp close to Harper’s Ferry and several nearby points of interest, but it was expensive at $100/night with no usable showers.

Camp Loudoun
Finally able to get out and get camping again, felt good! We had a great time staying on Josh's farm again and look forward to doing again in the future. As always, Josh is a terrific host and the site has something for all campers and it is a beautiful setting.

Our site was nice and secluded. Beautiful fields and woods trails to walk through. Our dog loved the new smells. Would return!
