It’s a beautiful place and the host is fantastic! We were greeted with a lovely gift bag of homemade soaps. The only issue was the sewer connection is uphill so dumping was very difficult.

Incredible stay, so peaceful and private. The internet was such an added bonus! We enjoyed near by Hungry Mother and Grayson Highlands parks. Can’t wait to make another trip to Cressy Creek Camp soon! Allison is a fantastic host 😁

Best Hipcamp EVER!

Allison's Hipcamp offered just the getaway we needed. It was quiet and peaceful;, exactly as it's advertised; a rare find. It's obvious the hosts have enjoyed the RV life and want others to partake of the simple life on their property in the Virginia mountains. The stream is babbling; so refreshing to sit beside for hours doing nothing but being in tune with nature.
Allison and Ryan are wonderful hosts, offering any help one might need. They are also kind, caring people with big hearts.

Camp Cressy Creek is a must stop for those going to southwestern Virginia! Our host took amazing care of us first time RVers, making this a special start to our journey! The views, the amenities, and the peace that this site has are top notch. The hosts have definitely thought about everything an RVer may need!

Great place to stay, we used it as our base to hike in the AT and visit Damascus. Allison was a great host and had great communication. 50 minutes to Damascus and hiking is everywhere near by.

Relaxing Stay by the Creek

We loved our stay on Allison's land. She greeted us upon arrival and gave us the sweetest goodie bag with some homemade items. She also included a guide to some local things to do and restaurants. We tried a few of the places on her list and they were amazing! The spot is easy to pull into, easy to hook up, easy to maneuver around. There are several chairs to sit in as well as a picnic table and hammock. The fire pit was perfect for roasting hotdogs. We really enjoyed sitting by the creek and relaxing. It rained for a while during our stay so the creek was nice and babbling. They took our trash out for us twice. Very communicative as well. We would for sure come back and stay again. We had a wonderful time.

Great spot to camp. We loved the sound of the creek at night and the beautiful fall colors all around us. Allison came out to greet us when we arrived and was very hospitable. She had plenty of fire wood ready for us, chairs, a nice picnic table, lantern, a hanging bag of water for washing up and even a welcome bag full of local goodies and information. Plus internet connection! The kids enjoyed finding ways across the creek in the morning. We would highly recommend this to camp!

Cozy Campsite at Cressy Creek

The location was far enough away from city lights and good for stargazing while also being an easy drive to Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. The area was large enough and had a fire pit to hang out by.

This was one of our best experiences through hipcamp. The site is private, beautiful property, great communication. Allison went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were traveling with our 2 young kids- she brought clay for my 4 year old to play with. We stayed several days and she checked in occasionally to see if we needed anything. It was a great stay all around, I'd absolutely recommend this site!

Lovely creekside campsite in a rural area. Semi-private, located at the end of their driveway and off the road with little traffic. We were grateful that our dogs could be off-leash but still kept a good eye on them. Allison provided great directions and was a lovely host. They are working on making the site even better with amenities. No cell service but the wifi from their home is usable in spots and appreciated in case of emergency. No bugs at this time of year and weather was lovely - we did get a pop-up storm but the weather changes fast in the mountainous area. Allison and her family were great hosts and it was a peaceful weekend. Would definitely stay again!

Staying at Camp Cressy Creek was a great experience! Allison and her husband were warm, communicative, helpful and generous during our stay. There site was perfect for our van, it was flat, easy to get in and out of, private, and peaceful. The sound of the babbling creek next to the site was lovely as was the well maintained fire ring with free seasoned firewood.
Allison left us a welcome gift of samples of some of her natural soap and body products, which are equally as lovely. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Just be sure to download maps ahead of time as cell service in the area is spotty- Camp Cressy Creek has free available wifi for when you are on site.

Cozy Sleep by the Creek!

What a delightful spot for RVers and tenters alike.
Allison is a lovely hostess who really cares about the people who come to camp there. The easy in and easy out of her drive-thru area is just fabulous.
The creek creates a delightful ambience for sleeping. When they finish putting in the full hookup it'll be a place that people are scrambling to be able to stay during the summer months. Highly recommended!
