Beautiful place with awesome views. We couldn’t get up the hill to our spot and parked closer to the house instead. It was also raining all day.

We've live in our RV full time for 6 months and this is one of our favorite places we've stayed. The property is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the mountains, valleys, and surrounding properties. We had total privacy during labor day weekend, and enjoyed having no hookups so we could fully disconnect. The cows are such a fun added bonus. Ashley and her family are super friendly and helpful hosts. We hope to return soon!

We recently took a trip to Virginia in our camper van and stayed on a cow pasture it was such a great experience. The spot was peaceful, with beautiful views and plenty of space to relax. It really felt like a hidden gem.
The host was super easy to work with—friendly, responsive, and made everything really smooth for us.
Our kids had an awesome time, too. They loved running around, exploring, and just being outside.
We’d definitely go back. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly place to camp and enjoy nature, this is it.

I don’t even know how to describe it—
It was quiet in the way your body notices.
The kind of quiet that feels like an exhale.
Up a hill, through a pasture gate,
with cows grazing like nothing in the world had ever rushed them,
I found a spot that felt like a secret the land was willing to share.
The sunset didn’t just fall over the hills—it poured across them.
Soft gold spilling into green, lighting up the grass, the trees,
the backs of slow-moving cows.
It wasn’t just beautiful—it was alive.
Still, warm.
I stood outside of my tent
watching the sky shift from fire to ash,
like it had all the time in the world—
and for a moment, so did I.
The frogs came out as night rolled in—
their song low and steady, like the land breathing through its throat.
Not a performance. Not a show.
Just a rhythm older than me,
and somehow, meant for me.
I didn’t know how much I needed it until I arrived.
One day, I might bring my daughter here—
or maybe I’ll just tell her the name,
the way the sky poured gold,
how the frogs sang through the dark,
and let her find her own moment with it.

This was ideal. 10 minutes from Staunton - I could pop in for a play, nice dinner, or a bathroom. Great access point for hikes, warm springs. Etc.
Ashley was so gracious. She talked me through getting settled - note most folks stay in a cow pasture which was charming, but please be aware there will be cow pies to navigate. She then left me wonderfully, spectacularly, alone. It was a gorgeous view, a gorgeous place. Total solemnity.

Lovely setting and super peaceful. We had the place to ourselves - along with the cows. Ashley and her family were super welcoming and came down to make sure we had all we needed. We were also able to buy some beautiful rainbow farm fresh eggs right out of the coop. Would definitely go back.

I loved the landscape and seeing some of the inhabitants of the farm! It had been raining so Ashley, who is very friendly and accommodating, made it easy to park in the driveway where I could also use a 15A cord. Easy in and out of those hills, it was a pleasure.

Ashley and Ricky were the consummate hosts. Their farm field site was gorgeous. They worried we’d struggle to get our 24-foot class C rig up the grassy hill, but it was easy. We simply climbed the hill steadily in first gear. The climb was worth it as we enjoyed a lovely sunset while eating dinner. We’d happily stay here again.

You need some light and signs for where to go or at least some directions after someone books a site. We had a real hard time trying to figure out where to go and had to turn truck and trailer around. It was compounded since it was after dark and there was barely a road to the site after we finally figured out which driveway and we ended up breaking one of our trailer jacks. Not cool. It was a beautiful view but not worth the hassle sorry.

Our gracious host Ashley was concerned that the recently rain made the grass too slick for our van so she allowed to camp right off her driveway under two towering pines. The views of the Virginia countryside were spectacular. It was a great first time hipcamp experience for us. It allowed us to attend the performance at the American Shakespeare festival in Staunton at the Blackfriars theatre. As a added bonus we were treated to the fireworks at their sons birthday party All-in-all a great experience. highly recommended!

What a beautiful place. We camped at the top of the hill in the cow pasture, and the views were ridiculously beautiful with intense sunsets every night.

Wow! What a beautiful place. We stayed near the house and walked up to the meadow. Ashley and her husband were very welcoming and helped up get the perfect spot. Get some eggs, they are delicious. We will return.

I loved camping at Ashley’s land! The landscape is beautiful, and watching the sunset behind the rolling hills was very relaxing. The property is fairly large and has multiple good spots to set up camp. The hosts were very polite and hospitable. Will definitely recommend this place, and will certainly go back myself.
