Our farm is located in Carrajung Lower, Central Gippsland where is 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne. As the name reveals we live on a small ridge with at least 3 pairs of Kookaburras living around our house. With a 52 acre property we run miniature Herefords and sheep to keep our land green and produce ethically raised 100% grass fed beef and lamb. Also our lovely Muscovy ducks in the orchard give us fresh eggs and we have numerous veggie garden beds and a large greenhouse! Each site has three levels. The top level is for vans and/or tents; the middle level is for tents only and the bottom level is the fire pit area. Surrounded by pine plantation and native trees, you can enjoy secluded time without neighbours except native animals and birds! What you can do around here: 30 minutes drive to Tarra Bulga National Park, Woodside Beach and Maryvale Pines MTB track. 20 minutes to Yarram for shopping and awesome coffee, also popular for Heesco murals. Outdoor swimming pool is open in summer time where you can have a hot shower. 5 minutes to Toms Cap Vineyard which has exceptional wine and incredible cuisine. Ride our new mountain bike trail (750m loop with a few jumps for all ages and abilities)

Camping with a View
Our family really enjoyed camping at Kookaburra Ridge camp ground. The views were fantastic, the site was a great size, neighbouring sites were far enough away for privacy, the compost toilet was extremely clean and Dan and his family were great! The directions to the location were easy to follow, the firewood that was supplied was more than enough, and Dans communication throughout was exactly as it should be!

Loved the site which accomadated 4 tents & most of all the loo with a view! Clean toilets. The host was welcoming & gave us the choice to choose any site we wanted, so we chose site two which had great views.

Great Stay
We loved camping here! Our two dogs loved the freedom (within reason) and space to be themselves without annoying other campers! It was very peaceful and both owners were very easy to communicate with! Will definitely recommend if you’re after a quiet get away for you and your family/ furry friend!

Peaceful, private, pretty camping!
We had a lovely time tent camping here with our 4 year old. Generous well spaced sites, excellent composting toilet. We stayed at site 4 and the view was superb. We enjoyed our late afternoon/evenings relaxing by the fire after big days exploring Tarra Bulga. Lots of bird and frog life. We even heard koalas in the distance in the evening. Dan and Risa are great hosts - we can’t believe we forgot to sample their homebrews and ciders - next time!

We had a great time in the secluded site 1, very quiet. But I guess sute 2 n 3 would have better view because they share "Loo with a view" lol

Overall this was a nice place. Beautiful stars at night. Very secluded. Nice amenities with toilet and wood slab to cook on. Unfortunately for us, the slope of the site was too much. The firepit was fabulous but the slope made sitting near it uncomfortable. Sliding down my crash mat each night was not pleasant. I probably won't return but it might suit some people. I would guess that the slope is 15 degrees.

Perfect farm camping.
We had a great time at Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp with our kids and caravan. We picked up some delicious meat from Dan when we arrived and he showed us to the site. The sites are huge with plenty of room, table, fire pit and wood. There were other campers around but they were so far away we didn't notice them. The toilets are a short walk away. One toilet has a great view of the valley! The sunrise view across the valley was stunning. We will be coming back with friends soon.

Absolutely stunning vista!!
Dan & Risa are amazing hosts with great communication. Anything we asked for was received well and honoured. I had read that the camp sites were to close, this definitely wasn't the case at all. Obviously they have addressed this issue. Good space and privacy but not to far if the neighbouring campers had children, which happened to be the case with us and ours kids played together. Toilet facilities were clean and not scary lol, even had one with an amazing view. Fire wood was also abundant around the site. Thanks guys for making our family ANZAC day long weekend one to remember!! ☺️🤙🏽

Was such a beautiful spot and time with friends! We had a first-time camper with us who is now very keen for their next trip (but only if the place has drop toilets like here!) Dan and Risa were a great host! Homebrew is great too! Will be back for sure!

Dog Friendly Spectacular Views
Car camping was a blast here, the sunrise in the morning was spectacular, we could let the dogs run free with no qualms and felt a sense of privacy even though other campers were in the area. The toilet was super clean and well maintained. We stayed at Site 3. Site 1 is on its own. Sites 2-4 are in a row but divided by trees. The drive in passes site 2 then 3 then 4. 2 seems smallest and is furthest from the toilets which are between sites 3 and 4. Site 4 has the best view of the valley but site 3 has the best view of half forest half valley. Dan was a pleasure to deal with. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be recommending our stay!

Sunrise over the valley
We had a beautiful time at Kookaburra Ridge Farm Camp with our dog. Dan greeted us when we arrived and showed us to the site which had it’s own table and fire pit, and plenty of room to park and pitch. The view across the valley was beautiful, and the sunrise was a highlight. We also went for a wander through the pine forest and down to the gulley. Definitely will be coming back, probably with more friends.

Amazing views and local produce
We were a group of 10( 6 adults and 4 kids ) and enjoyed the camp site there was a lot of private space that separated us from the other campers . We were on site 4 and had a great view of the valley, the sunrise from the front door was spectacular but it also made it a bit warm quite fast , we had an adjustable tarp for shelter so that made it ok . The eco toilet was very clean and didn’t smell and was sufficient for all campers on site The ginger beer and duck eggs from Dan was also awesome, we missed out on mushroom picking due to weather so definitely would be something to look forward to next time . In summary it was a great camp site with great views , amenities and lots of space definitely would recommend it

Kookaburra Ridge was a great campsite. We were located at campsite #1 which is maybe 200m from any other site. Didn't see the other sites once. Felt like you were in the middle of the bush. Plenty of space for tents and a great fire pit. Composting toilet shack was quite nice if you don't mind some creepy crawlies nearby.

Good camp site!
Pretty nice and quiet. Love the duck eggs. Too bad there wasn’t any pine mushrooms yet. Daniel is a very good host. Camp area was a bit steep at some spots but it was a pretty good overall experience.

Thanks Daniel!
Daniel was fantastic to deal with. I messed up the dates and overstayed the booking as he was very accommodating. The lamb bacon along with home brew was delicious! The 3 available toilets were in fantastic condition. No smell and a pleasure to use. We were at campsite 3 and it was pretty exposed to the sun from 7am until we moved behind some shrubs which offered protection until 9am. Bring an additional shade structure to protect yourself if planning on being around camp during the day. Was here over new years and didn't hear any of the other campers. The positioning was really great to stop sound interference.

This camp location is beautiful! And easy to navigate to. The host is super friendly and we were warmly welcomed. We camped in our converted van and access to the site was very easy. We took our dog, his first camping trip, and he enjoyed running in the large area adjacent to the camp site.

Gorgeous location, and amazingly secluded. Nine of us camped (5 adults, 4 kids) in one camp spot, and there was heaps of room with plenty of space for play. Dan’s hospitality was fantastic, and the home-brewed ginger beer is a must have!!

Great views and Black Cockatoos!
Our group (9 people) thoroughly enjoyed staying here over NYE. The views are fantastic and we particularly enjoyed watching the black cockatoos. The toilet facilities are excellent (also with a great view). The campsites were quite spacious and far enough apart that it was peaceful and quiet, even with neighbours. The host was very helpful.
