We had such an amazing camping experience! The property is absolutely beautiful, with over 50 acres of nature, stunning lake views, and even a waterfall. We camped at the lake-view spot, which had a beautiful open view of the lake in the distance. With all the fall colors around us, the entire place was breathtaking!
What made the experience even more special was our host. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful. Since we were the only group camping that weekend, she kindly offered us hot coffee and breakfast in the morning and even helped us with firewood at night. These were such thoughtful gestures that we really appreciated!
The entire property is peaceful, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature, especially during the fall. We couldn't have asked for a better camping experience. Would absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

Lake View Field Camp
We had an amazing time staying at Liz’s property this Fall! The whole area is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views of Lake Willoughby from the field site. Liz was a responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic host. There are many walking trails and other hikes nearby. The outhouse is clean and adorable. Make sure to pack your food before coming, as it is a more isolated area. We will be back, probably in summer next time, to do some paddle boarding on the lake!

Brookside Trail Camp
Our stay on Liz’s beautiful property was one of the best camping experiences in recent memory. We got a warm welcome before settling in to our peaceful and secluded site overlooking the creek. Would absolutely recommend and I’m sure it won’t be our last stay with her.

Liz (and her beautiful property) were sooo wonderful and hospitable! We arrived at a good time for Liz so she was able to give us a quick and fun tour of the property on her golf cart and saw all the great campsites she’s worked so hard on. You can really tell lots of love and hard work have been put into everything! We were at the site right next to the water and it was so dreamy falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the water below. While the location is also ideal being so close to Lake Willoughby, we would have been just as happy had we hunkered down all weekend and only explored all the property had to offer. I only wish it were a little warmer so we could have taken a long swim and slid down the big rock slide! Can’t wait to make our way back to Liz’s spot we will definitely be back!
Liz is the best. We drove away from the weekend with our hearts full. Her land is beautiful, private and mystical. The closeness to Lake Willoughby was so awesome too. We had the most lovely weekend and we are grateful. There is no service out there so recommend to download maps before arriving to the area.

This was a great place to spend the night before getting out on the lake the next day. The waterfall was beautiful and it was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the stream. Would stay here again.

Elizabeth was a wonderful host!! Absolutely loved talking with her and meeting her sweet horses, would 100% stay again!
We had such a wonderful time at Elizabeth's HipCamp and can’t recommend it enough. One of the highlights for us was definitely the horses — they were so friendly and added a really special touch to the whole experience. The location itself was absolutely stunning, especially the area around the waterfall. It was the perfect spot for swimming and fishing, and we spent time there just relaxing and soaking it all in.
The site was incredibly peaceful and secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for. It felt like our own little retreat away from everything. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches — the gift bag and firewood waiting for us when we arrived made us feel so welcomed right off the bat.
Communication after check-in was great as well. Elizabeth provided us with places to eat and check out around the area and even offered to let us use the shower in the cabin if needed!
If we had to suggest one improvement, it would be having clearer directions on Elizabeth's HipCamp listing or at the entrance gate. We were a bit unsure at first about where the site and parking areas were located, but once we got in touch with Elizabeth, everything else was smooth sailing.
All in all, a truly memorable camping experience — peaceful, beautiful, and thoughtfully hosted. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great time camping here beside the waterfall! I was happy there was firewood and a nice fire pit and plenty of space to spread out. Thank you again!
The property was beautiful. Elizabeth was kind and showed us around and even offered us matches to start a fire.
We absolutely loved our visit to Brookside Trail Camp! Elizabeth is a warm and welcoming host, and being next to the waterfall was pure magic. The site was incredibly private, with trails all through the woods. We loved spending time tucked into the woods near the water, and making frequent walks to the nearby field with a view for picnics, sunset, and stargazing. I look forward to visiting again!
Clean and peaceful campsite right next to the brook and waterfalls. Liz was very welcoming, and we look forward to seeing more of her property and sites in the future!
