It’s a nice picturesque spot with fantastic views of the mountains. Charles was super accommodating, met us at the gate and showed us around and to our camping spot. Additionally, there is access to a nice clean bathroom with running water and a shower which really bridges the gap between a more basic outdoor experience and something a bit more comfortable. Would definitely recommend this Hipcamp!

Let’s say it wasn’t as expected…First, this is not the host’s fault necessarily but because of the heavy rain of the previous days we couldn’t access the meadows so we had to park our van very close to other “housing” such as the hobbit house, a trailer, and a tent. The place felt neglected. Also there is a neighbour’s house in plain view, approximately 500 feet away. Lastly the common building wasn’t very “homey” or warm and felt very humid. This being said the host was very nice.
If you are the community hippie type, you’ll like this place. Maybe we weren’t the right fit.

Ed’s place was a perfect spot to spend a few nights while I was attending a disc golf event at Smugglers Notch Ski Resort.
Things were a little cramped because dry areas were limited due to the amount of rain in the area this year, but Ed still made sure I was taken care of!
If I’m back in the area again, Ed’s spot is at the top of my list.

Overall a good experience! Due to all the rain this year, a lot of the sites were not accessible, so we ending up close to the house - this was alright though because the hipcampers have access to the kitchen and bathroom. Ed wasn’t super responsive, but we also booked super last minute and literally just needed somewhere to set up camp for the night, so it wasn’t a big deal. Also, I definitely recommend bringing big spray!

Ed has an awesome plot of land with everything you could ask for. The scenery is beautiful and there are countless options to set up camp. The indoor communal living room/kitchen is luxury.

It was in fact serene and complete with fireflies, moonlight and rolling meadows. Our tent site was on the edge of the property in a secluded area that had a view of everything. It was like our own little world. My kid was happy as were my dogs. The bathroom and kitchen are both homey and there was wonderful coffee. I ignored my phone when I was there and had some enlightening chats with intelligent, positive people. It’s a pretty place in a laid-back setting for anyone of any age and camping preference. I had a tent but it makes me wish I had a cute vintage RV or Volkswagen van. You can either be active and go hiking and kayaking or just sit there and do a crossword puzzle. It was a nice break from the state parks where people tend to be keeping up with the Joneses (in my experience) and showing off their fancy RV’s and camping gear and don’t talk to their neighbors. Everyone was friendly here.

Serenity meadows was an absolute DREAM- pups and I stayed for four amazing days. Gazed at the Milky Way, explored the amazing plants and food grown on the property, slept surrounded by thousands of fireflies, and enjoyed all the sites nearby. We could not ask for a better escape and we are so so lucky to have found this unreal piece of bliss!!! Ed’s entire team is so warm- Charles and Chris are rockstars at running the place with Ed and we are entirely grateful to this group of extraordinary men. The communal benefits were also fantastic - lots of great people and able to hang with others or take alone time for however long you liked. Made new friends here and cannot wait to come back!!

Ed was a great host and made us feel welcome by showing us around and introducing us to others on the property. The field was perfect for us with our roof top tent. It was nice and open and easy to see the stars at night.

We set up our hammocks at the top of the meadow and had an incredible time with the view of the meadow and sky at night time. Ed was very communicative, helpful, and made great smoothies for us in the morning. The property and amazing polyculture that Ed is developing thre is fascinating - highly recommend a stay!

We had such a lovely stay with Edmund at Serenity Meadows! He is such a genuine and passionate person, and he's done such an amazing job with the property :-) we would recommend hip camping with them to all of our friends, and will definitely be back later this summer.

We parked with our car/rv right outside their Airbnb to sleep. We came late (9pm) but Ed still greeted us and gave us a tour of the grounds and the Airbnb. We were welcome to use the bathroom, kitchen, and living in the Airbnb, which was very nice on a cold spring night. It’s not far from Burlington or the Canadian border, and we were able to drive to hikes fairly easily as well.

It was great staying at Serenity medows. We had a great time camping. Ed offers so much to his campers and gave us a great experience. I would highly reccomend. Met a lot of cool people who were staying nights at this great communal experience. And yet we had plenty of privacy and our own space camping.

Our stay got off to a rough start with our van getting stuck in the mud, but Ed assured us that he had a friend who could get us out in the morning and he came through. After that it was a magical weekend. This is a beautiful property and Ed has created a special vibe with community and campfires as well as a deep knowledge of growing food. On our last day he brought us an amazing smoothie made from raspberries grown on site. He checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Bathroom is in the house and is very clean. Even though there were others on site I never had to wait. Not all of the sites have electrical hookups which we needed but Ed allowed us to make our own site so we could plug in. After the the difficultly of our first night it was a magical weekend.

We loved Serenity Meadows so much, we changed our plans to stay an extra night on our tour of Vermont. So close to Burlington and Lake Champlain, but feels remote enough to actually relax! Ed is wonderful host. The other guests are awesome. The property is beautiful. We pitched a tent at the top of the meadow. It's very private, but you have access to the community area with a full bathroom and kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Pro tip: Make sure to pack your flip-flops, rubber boots, or wool socks. The meadow is very dewy.

Nice quiet perfect spot with a fire pit and a lovely view of the sky. Keep in mind, the spot is separate from the hookups. The hookups are more for arriving or leaving or leaving your vehicle there near the house.

First of all the area is absolutely beautiful. If you get a campsite, I highly recommend you get the campsite that is by the water hole. It was so soothing to fall asleep listening to the water. The property has so many wildflowers and native plants and trees and blueberries and raspberries and such. Uncle Ed is an amazing host but more so an amazing human being. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The vibes here cannot be beat. If you want to get away and sleep underneath the vast sky in Vermont I highly recommend checking the spot out and while you're there give old Uncle Ed a high five for me!!

Ed was super cool. We had a great time. Super in touch with nature, fun to learn about all his plantings and working with the land. The smoothies are out of this world!! Campfire with an eclectic community group and everyone loved the s’mores. Overall a memorable and terrific experience. If you’re looking for something different and you’re adventurous, definitely check out Serenity Meadows.

Serenity Meadows is sooooo relaxing. Ed is a fabulous host and made our stay even better than expected. His knowledge of local plants is encyclopedic. If you have even a passing interest in environmentalism, permaculture, or plants in general, Ed is your guy. Our camp site was nice and quiet in a field next to a small watering hole, which was great to cool off in and great ASMR to sleep with. There are so many places to hike, swim, and fish nearby. I would highly recommend doing the plant tour and the guided hike with Ed. We did them and they really added a lot to our overall experience. Don't forget to check out their shop on site--plenty of hand-made items to choose from.
