Sunrise Plains in Texas
We’ve missed the South Plains Sunrise and Sunset’s. We were able to tent camp! Shaun gave us very precise directions! Very secluded and primitive. Perfect for boondocking/overlanding especially if you are just starting out and want to try it close to home! We would definitely stay again!

Easy access, nice and quiet without feeling super-remote from town. Great directions (guns up! TT) and very accommodating host for a last-minute booking. True to its name, there was indeed a beautiful sunrise!

Sunrise Plains in Texas
I am a simple guy with two kids at Texas Tech and I despise hotels and the money they charge! This is the second time I’ve used Shaun’s land and it is perfect for me. I have a blowup mattress and I sleep in the back of my truck with campfire and it is glorious. There’s no bathroom so plan accordingly. The nighttime sky is incredible. I will be back in the fall.
