Fits RVs up to 26 feet long. The site is surrounded by pine trees that provide plenty of shade. Rooftop tents welcome! Mobile phones work well here. Strong signal. Forest View RV Parking is located on a hard-packed gravel road with no outlet. The property sits in a pine forest with some oaks and includes a two-acre lake that’s great for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easily accessible via back roads. Both Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are just a ten-minute drive away. Car camping is also possible at this spot, though the tenting area is on a slight incline. The bathroom and shower facilities are a three-minute walk, located on the other side of the property. With a surveyor's wheel, the rest rooms are a 639 feet walk through the forest.There is a picknick table next to the RV parking spot. We provide a flush toilette and hot shower for your comfort. There is a 20 amp outlet for you to plug in. There is a water spigot for you to hook up to. Grey water can be let out into the forest, but not black water.

The lake is approx a two minute walk downhill and the rest rooms are approx a three minute walk. We provide a flush toilette and hot shower for your comfort. There is a 20 amp outlet for you to plug in. There is a water spigot for you to hook up to. Grey water can be let out into the forest, but not black water.

A nice touch of the piney woods close to Austin, nice restroom for this road tripping campervan couple. Helpful host. The power and water at the site were a welcome bonus.

We Lucked Out!

Shady Forest View Small RV Camping

We were lucky to find this site! We needed a last minute camping site for our family reunion at the state park and crossed our fingers that we would get a good one. Craig was a great host, gave us a tour of the property when we arrived, and even swapped us to a better site for our tents last minute. The bathroom and shower were clean and functional and the property is wooded and hilly and picturesque. There is definitely some highway noise early in the evening (being pretty close to 71 we weren’t surprised), but it quieted down as it got later and we could hear owls and coyotes and other wildlife. We would definitely book again.
