We were really impressed with the amenities. They thought of lots of details and had everything you could need and way more! Be sure to bring your own cooler if you are staying for an extended period. Great for families and groups of 4 adults or less.

Beautiful spot with all the amenities you need for a very comfortable Glamping experience. Wake up to birds chirping head to bed after staring at the stars. Everything you need comfortable is right at your fingertips. Extremely close proximity to multiple locations for hiking, biking, fishing, and floating the river.

The glamping yurt was great and the site had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the weather was absolutely perfect. We especially enjoyed the river access and the property was very dog friendly 😀. Not sure if the description specifically stated there's a composting toilet in the outhouse, but that would be good info to know if that is a deal-breaker for anyone.

Such an awesome spot for a getaway! They've clearly put so much work and thought into creating this little paradise- the outhouse and outdoor shower were especially neat to admire. And they've thought of everything in the little touches. 10 minutes away there's a Family Dollar and Bear's Market with an awesome assortment of high quality meats & fresh veggies to grill and 10 minutes in the opposite direction you've got Garner State Park. So you could easily enjoy a few nights in the area. Caroline is very responsive and the on-site host is also so helpful and friendly. Ourselves and our daughter got a big kick out of all the deer we saw on the property in the evening.
The only thing to note would be for people booking during winter months. There is a space heater in the yurt which is glorious, but if it's a really cold night into the 30s the heater just can't keep up and it may get just about as cold inside as out as it's a pretty spacious yurt.
Overall, a wonderful place that we'd love to return to.

Our stay here was amazing. The location is right next to the river. There were so many sweet small touches from the host that made this site feel so homey. Every little thing was thought of for our comfort. I would definitely come back and spend more time here

Camping made easy! What a great set up. Just brought our food and clothes and everything else seemed to be here. We were especially happy for the space heaters during the cold snap that got temps down to 38. Cold clear skies made for excellent stargazing. Wish I had brought my telescope!! Next time :)

Hosts thought of everything you could possibly need. River access is right across from the camp area. Very comfortable and cozy. Really enjoyed our time here!

We loved spending a couple of nights glamping by the river and hiking at Lost Maples nearby. The kitchen had everything we could need and our firewood was restocked each day which was crucial for the chillier nights.

We had such a sweet stay here during NYE. It was really cold those days, but Caroline provided heaters for the kitchen and the bedroom space, we had plenty of firewood to burn, and blankets of all kinds available for us.
The property is so beautiful, we took plenty of walks and sat by the water which was right in front of our site. Thank you Caroline!

Rio Frio Glamping
We spent a couple of nights over Thanksgiving at Rio Frio Glamping and it was a wonderful time. The glamping space was well kept and we could tell how much thought went into creating the space. Caroline was very responsive throughout from pre-booking questions to during the stay. Liane the on-sight host stopped by after arrival to say hello and make sure we had plenty of firewood which we put to use both nights. We hope to come back for another stay in the future.

We had a peaceful, relaxing, quiet two nights at Glamping on the Frio. It had everything we needed and then some- the site was clean and very well thought out. In addition to the core items for cooking and cleaning, there were nice touches everywhere- blankets, chairs, snacks, firewood, coals, lighter, lights, coffee, chargers, towels, you name it.. they left champagne for our anniversary, which was sweet. Everything worked, was charged, or was clean. the river was very close - our dog loved running and playing in it when he wasn’t laying on the porch looking out. The stars and moon were awesome at night, and the deer were fun to hear walking through the river. We grilled burgers, used the griddle for breakfast tacos, watched the sunrise with hot coffee. The tent and bed were comfortable, fresh, and we were able to keep a good temperature inside. We slept like babies! We loved it and would definitely go back for a break from the city!
