Private lot on the Gulf of Mexico in Sargent, Texas. Just walk across the foot path to the Gulf of Mexico. Full RV Hookups - water, electrical (50A/30A/20A), and sewage. 70+ feet of concrete pad and driveway inside the fenced yard with plenty of space for all RVs. The property is fully fenced. The entrance gate is 16' wide. The yard is all St. Augustine grass. Very clean and maintained. Pets are welcome. This property is tailored for RVs, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, and Motorhomes that have black and grey tanks and can hold their waste water (shower, toilet, and washing) for dumping into the on-site water treatment unit. You must have your own shower, sinks, and toilet on your rig with holding tanks for black and grey water and the ability to dump into the dump location on the property. The property is not designed for tent campers. The electrical and sewage hookups are on the left side of the property. Motorhomes (Class A, Pushers, and Class C RVs can pull directly into the space with hookups in the usual location. 5th wheels, travel trailers, and campers that are pulled by a vehicle will need to back into the space as there is no room in the front of the property to drive in, unhook your vehicle, and drive the vehicle off the slab. When you back in, the hookups will be on the the opposite side of your connections. Depending upon your travel trailer and where you place your travel trailer on the slab, you may need electrical or sewage extensions to reach the connections. The pictures of the property show a line of granite blocks between the property and the beach. The granite forms a seawall (called the revetment wall) that was installed by the Corp of Engineers and prevents beach erosion. Depending on the tides, sometimes the Gulf waters hit the wall and there is very little beach area in front of the property. Sometimes, there is a large beach area. However, some people who drink water containing arsenic in excess of the MCL over many years could experience skin damage or problems with their circulatory system, and may have an increased risk of getting cancer. You do not need to use an alternative water supply. However, if you have health concerns, you may want to talk to your doctor to get more information about how this may affect you...."

Had a great time. Quiet and peaceful. Parked straight in. Brought everything i needed so no need to drive anywhere. Caught a nice red drum right on the beach. Dogs loved the fenced yard. Nice remote and my type of get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and tourist beaches. Not a person on the beach for a 1000 yards in either direction. Just a local walking the beach from time to time. Great sunrises and sunsets. Will be back. My perfect weekend getaway. Lost power with the passing storms for a few hours but my rig was boon dock capable.

Perfect stay on the Texas coast

This RV site with full hookups was perfect and as described! The concrete slab was perfectly level. It has an electrical hookup, water, and a dump station. Plenty of room for setting up a hangout spot with a table and chairs - everything is kept very clean. Bring a canopy or ask him if he has a shade for the installed poles. Neighbors, if you see any, are extremely quiet. The fence was such an added bonus since we brought our dog, who loves to lie outside. Note: The sun, coastal wind, and TX-sized mosquitoes are no joke during that season, so bring protection! If you need a quiet place to set up with a view of the gulf, THIS is the property for you!

Peaceful Getaway for the Whole Fam.

I truly enjoyed staying at this property. It was a wonderful getaway from the crowds and provided a peaceful environment for our family. The yard was fully fenced with well-maintained, freshly cut grass, which gave my kids plenty of space to run around and play safely. The host was very accommodating and kept us well informed throughout our stay. We also received clear and helpful information about what to expect upon arrival. We spent five nights there, and it was exactly the break from work that I needed. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and my kids loved it as well. The sunrises and sunsets were especially beautiful and made the experience even more memorable.

My family and I loved everything about this place. Walking distance from the beach 💙 We had some vehicle issues and James was very helpful and generous with us. Great for pets!

Totally will be staying here again! Jim is great with his communication to include the mosquito density. All but one day was breezy so they were only an issue toward sundown. The lot is mowed regularly and all the hook-ups worked as they should. We will booking again in the near future!

Place is very well maintained. Clean and with good hookups. The fence was great for our dogs so they could run and play. A good kind of isolated. James provided us with good info and things to take into account. He made us aware of the mosquitos, which is something to plan for and know when and where be outside. The weather while we were at the camp was chilly so we were able to enjoy mornings and late evenings without worrying too much about them. If you are visiting plan ahead - shelter, permethrin, wondercide, citronella and protection for your dogs and yourself. We will certainly be coming back.

This place is a hidden gem. Living in Texas, my wife and I have been to a lot of beaches along the coast, but had never heard of Sargeant Beach. The fact that there are no restaurants, bars, and stores keeps a lot of people away and maintains a quiet atmosphere. The site is well prepared and maintained. We did have to move all of our stuff the day after we arrived so they could come cut the grass, but I guess that was a minor inconvenience. The beach that we did ended going to enjoy the sand and water was just up the road and easily accessible. There was an incredible amount of organic and non-organic debris on the beach due to all of the heavy rains and the runoff coming from the Brazos river into the Gulf of Mexico. Caveat: the pictures on hipcamp app need to be updated. There is no good access to the beach from the campsite; that wood walkway does not exist.

Just as described, great place!

Great area, just as described. Mother nature didn't give us any brakes whatsoever pretty much rained the entire time we were there. We weren't able to do any fishing or any outdoor activities as we were hoping, but that's beyond anyone's control. Lots of privacy and nice quiet, relaxing area. The owners kept us updated about the weather and potential mosquito problems, which was very much appreciated.

Great setup for RVs with convenient fenced yard for our dog. Easy walking access to the seawall and only a quick drive to the beach area up island. Host was very communicative and everything worked as advertised at the site. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot on the ocean

We loved it!! We will be back! Although the winds were high and the seas rough, the positive was no mosquitos and sitting with coffee or drinks listening to the waves. Loved the quietness of the area and the peacefulness which we need after a work week. The chain link fence is a complete game changer for our dogs. We walked the road, walked the sea wall and the area is clean and neighbors friendly. We arrived after 10pm and entry and hookups a breeze. Lesson we learned when headed to the RV spot is don’t wait until the last gas station a couple miles down, the card readers at the pumps don’t work so if they are closed no gas. Thank you to the hosts!!

This is a great location for a quiet getaway. It’s a beautiful area with clean beaches and hardly anyone nearby. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return as soon as we can. Hosts were very responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions.

Great spot on the water

This is a great little spot for an RV or tent camping. You are pretty much right on the water and can walk straight to the shore via a little path from the back gate. If facing the water, there are a empty lots to your right and to your left is a house that appears to be rarely, if ever, used. We had lots of space and privacy. Backing into the spot wasn't too difficult with our 22ft Rpod. If you have a really big rig, it might be a little trickier. I suggest bringing everything you need, including drinking water, because local water doesn't taste great. Sargent has a few bait shops and a liquor store as well as a dollar general down the road about 15 minutes, but that's about it. Freeport, about 30-45 minutes away, is probably closest if you need fresh food or a pharmacy. The shore nearest the campsite is mostly seawall with a thin strip of sand. It's perfect for fishing. If you want a bigger, sandier beach, you can drive down the road a couple of minutes and you'll see a turn off to your right that leads to more beach access. This beach has a lot of shells btw. A minor thing...no firepit within the fenced camping area. That would've made it perfect. And we had a visit from a curious rattlesnake, so just be vigilant. They're present all around the coastal areas. As are mosquitoes, although they weren't too bad while we were there. The hosts were very friendly and easy to reach via the app. All the hookups worked great. I would definitely come back.

Perfect quiet spot for travelers with dogs who don't prefer the traditional RV parks. It's beachfront with a walking path to the water. We have stayed several times at the location a couple of lots down and we finally got lucky enough to snag this fenced in spot. No noisy neighbors and no beach crowd. Very peaceful weekends here.

My vacation spent on the beach on Jim's property was all I could dream of - the area is very beautiful, super quiet and perfect when you need to spend time away from people. My dogs also had a great time! The nearest major city is 40 min away and it has all you need, so in the end it is not too far away if you need more food or anything. Would definitely want to come back some day!
