Christmas / New Year Available Bring your friends and family and hide away at Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp! You are entering a stress free, tree-filled zone... Find us on Outpost203.com! Wooded glampground in Plantersville, TX. Fully furnished glamping canvas bell tents, with premier tents on platforms with electric (and Kuerig coffee pots and coffee!). Sleep 2 - 6 comfortably, depending on the size tent. Tents range in size from 10 - 16 feet. New fully furnished cabins are available to rent too! Kitchens/kitchenettes, full bathrooms, etc - Big Tex, Lil' Tex and The Ren Shack, sleep 4 - 9 people each depending on the cabin size. Glamping vintage trailers are available too, and are also fully furnished with electric, kitchens and bathrooms, and sleep 2-3 people each. Or bring your own small to mid-size RV, tent, or car/truck/van and pick a cool cleared or primitive site of your choice, camp anywhere. We also have 3 electric 30 Amp hookup available. The camp is surrounded by farms and ranches, wineries offering music options (one is dog friendly!). Lake Conroe is 20 minutes to the east. Amenities include a cowboy pool, courtyard seating and camp fire pit, hot showers, bathrooms (currently port-a-potties), fiber wifi, and a potable water/filling station/wash station. We are in the customer service business, meaning we make it easy to camp (and celebrate!) with our beautiful 4-season canvas glamp tents and glamp vintage trailers. Just drive up to your tent and get ready to relax. All tents are fully furnished with made beds and critical supplies, and have picnic tables, chairs around the fire rings, firewood, and charcoal grills. Our premier platform tents also have electric, heat, Keurig coffee pots, coffee and more! Vintage trailers have everything you need as well inside and out. Reservations are available on both Hipcamp and Airbnb. We even offer to decorate for you in advance for special celebration occasions. Now get ready to relax in nature! One queen bed, one queen pull-out couch, a blow-up queen mattress, bedding, bathroom with shower, kitchenette with sink/dishes, mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, air-fryer, electric hot plate, k-cup coffee pot, Roku TV, front porch with 2 chairs and tables, parking, picnic table, charcoal grill. It is in the Courtyard area, with access to the main campfire ring for use. 40 min NW of the Greater Houston metro area, 7 miles from the Texas Renaissance Festival, vineyards with live music and local restaurants are nearby as well. Parking at the site is available for 1 vehicle on gravel parking and you are welcome to park a second vehicle at the cabin as well in the grass. There is overflow guest parking near the pirate ship. Wifi is available throughout the Courtyard and in this cabin. An outdoor shower house with hot and cold water is also available in case needed, as well as porta-potties and potable water. And don't miss our cowboy pool for your enjoyment, open until it gets too cold in the late fall/winter, reopens in the spring. We love dogs. They are family! Absolutely bring them with you, just be sure to keep them leashed or on a tie out, and pick up after them. Plenty of shade. *** Pet fee must be added by Hipcampers bringing pets and is a required add. This option is available in the Extras section upon booking. I loved camping at the glamp and camp! It was perfect. The fire pits, the area, the cleanliness, the showers and RR. The directions were super easy to follow even coming at night. Would definitely recommend. Even brought my doggy. We had a blast.

The property was very nice and clear to set up camp. The instructions were easy to follow and the host was very helpful. I just don't think the price for a primitive campsite was worth it since it is primitive.

This place is well maintained and very lovely. Evenly spaced out from other campers. Tons of sticks to collect for a good fire, sorry if we cleared all of them out šŸ¤£. The pirate ship is a good touch. Would highly recommend spending a few days here. We camped peacefully full of laughter and joy at the "zen den" only recommendation would be to put a strand of lights on the string for the front of the tent, at night it was hard to see it and would hate for anything to happen to a person or even the owners property. Other than that its a very warming and lovely place. Btw listen for the donkey and geese I had a good conversation with them. Thank you for an excellent stay and we are looking forward to doing it again one day!!

Train howls throughout the night

It was good quality and fair price, but the horrible train noises at night were very unpleasant. Also, some planes flew overhead and that really destroys the whole "camping in the woods" theme. If you're just looking g for a place to drink beer around the campfire with your buddies, it will do just fine, but if you want to connect with nature and rest in seclusion, then look somewhere else.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Outpost 203, renting the Vintage Camper, and I can't recommend this experience enough! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming retro design of the camper, which offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The camper was well-equipped with all the essentials, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy our time in nature. Waking up surrounded by the sounds of the forest was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The nearby hiking trails and beautiful scenery provided endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. In the evenings, we gathered around the campfire, sharing stories and roasting marshmallows, all while soaking in the stunning starlit sky. Great for bringing dogs!
The Wee Top Tent - With Electric
Beautiful property! Brought my two dogs here to get them away from the 4th of July fireworks. There were some but not nearly as much as the city. The dogs loved it! Everyone gets their own space. They had large fire pits with plenty of seating and the owners are very kind!

We booked for our memorial long weekend. The place is great and we had a good time. We booked a cabin for 8 members. The only downside is we only had one wall mount AC unit in the hall and only fans in the bedrooms.

This was a terrible experience. Outpost 203 has no personality for a camping spot. What a big disappointment. We arrived there and there was no one to talk to about our space. We encountered 2 other people and they were not at all friendly. Our space was just a boon docking space between two houses with a little woods around. There were dirty port-a-potties nearby. The one shower was not a bad space. Outpost 203 has put little or no effort into making their campsites welcoming or inviting.

After weather conditions ruined our area Ms. Dana accommodated us to a cabin! We had a great time! Such a great space for the kiddos and fur babies to run around. Even got to meet Miss Chica šŸˆā€ā¬› Would definitely recommend!

Very cool campsite and tent. Took kids and they enjoyed it. Great condition and clean. Lots of room on the inside and very comfortable. Chairs and fire pit provided outside the tent. Highly recommend.

Relaxing Post-RenFest Respite
The Zen Den Tent - Electric & A/C
This was the perfect place to get away from the well mannered frivolity at RenFest but still feel like we were enjoying the great outdoors disconnected from the digital world. The camp was clean and quiet. We never found the showers but only stayed a night. The Zen Den was just what we needed after a fun day of eating, drinking and being a tad too merry!

This spot was very secluded and private! We loved being able to park in a shady spot. The facilities were not far from our site and the bath house was one of the better outdoor showers we have used. We also loved the friendly cat!

The outpost is nice and hidden , felt nice and private. Warm showers were a big plus. And was 10 minutes away from the Ren-Fair . Had friends stay at the Ren-Fair camp grounds , and man we were glad to have rented at the outpost !

Overall Great Experienceā€¦ the campground was well kept & decorated for the season. Dana was really sweet and checked on us dailyā€¦ we had a big group of 6 & got noisy at times but no one bothered us at all.. the cowboy bath was a nice touch to cool off, the porter Johnā€™s were surprisingly clean, & the showers were decentā€¦ for the price point it was perfectā€¦ my friends arenā€™t really outdoorsy people so a better shower/bathroom situation wouldv made it perfect for them but overall we have no complaints..

Site is nice and secluded, but a bit tight and hard to get into and out of. There was a lot of poison ivy and the water hook up was farther away than we anticipated. The pool was also out of service, which made for a very very hot weekend (it was labor day). The glamping tents looked cute, but we didn't venture back that way.
