Bring your friends and family and hide away at Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp! You are entering a stress free, tree-filled zone... Find us on Outpost203.com! Wooded glampground in Plantersville, TX. Fully furnished glamping canvas bell tents, with premier tents on platforms with electric (and Kuerig coffee pots and coffee!). Sleep 2 - 6 comfortably, depending on the size tent. Tents range in size from 10 - 16 feet. New fully furnished cabins are available to rent too! Kitchens/kitchenettes, full bathrooms, etc - Big Tex, Lil' Tex and The Ren Shack, sleep 4 - 9 people each depending on the cabin size. Glamping vintage trailers are available too, and are also fully furnished with electric, kitchens and bathrooms, and sleep 2-3 people each. Or bring your own small to mid-size RV, tent, or car/truck/van and pick a cool cleared or primitive site of your choice, camp anywhere. We also have 3 electric 30 Amp hookup available. The camp is surrounded by farms and ranches, wineries offering music options (one is dog friendly!). Lake Conroe is 20 minutes to the east. Amenities include a cowboy pool, courtyard seating and camp fire pit, hot showers, bathrooms (currently port-a-potties), fiber wifi, and a potable water/filling station/wash station. We are in the customer service business, meaning we make it easy to camp (and celebrate!) with our beautiful 4-season canvas glamp tents and glamp vintage trailers. Just drive up to your tent and get ready to relax. All tents are fully furnished with made beds and critical supplies, and have picnic tables, chairs around the fire rings, firewood, and charcoal grills. Our premier platform tents also have electric, heat, Keurig coffee pots, coffee and more! Vintage trailers have everything you need as well inside and out. Reservations are available on both Hipcamp and Airbnb. We even offer to decorate for you in advance for special celebration occasions. Now get ready to relax in nature! Come and "rough it" with us in southeast Texas, Plantersville, TX farm and ranch country. 40 minutes Northwest of the Greater Houston area. Where the TX Hill Country meets the Piney Woods Region. We are 7 miles from the infamous Texas Renaissance Festival, and there are vineyards nearby with live music. Come have some fun! Fire rings are available and can be easily grabbed and moved to your camping spot. Other tent campers and small RV's may be in the vicinity as well but plenty of room to spread out. 1 tent or RV per site, 1-2 vehicles per site, up to 6 people per site. There is overflow guest parking in another area. An outdoor shower house with hot and cold water is available. A port-a-potty and potable water from hose is on-site. Parking at the site is available for 1 vehicle on gravel parking and you are welcome to park a second vehicle at the cabin as well in the grass. There is overflow guest parking near the pirate ship. An outdoor shower house with hot and cold water is also available in case needed, as well as porta-potties and potable water. And don't miss our cowboy pool for your enjoyment, open until it gets too cold in the late fall/winter, reopens in the spring. We love dogs. They are family! Beautiful property! Brought my two dogs here to get them away from the 4th of July fireworks. There were some but not nearly as much as the city. The dogs loved it! Everyone gets their own space. They had large fire pits with plenty of seating and the owners are very kind!

Site #1 - Electric Hookup Pull-In

This was a terrible experience. Outpost 203 has no personality for a camping spot. What a big disappointment. We arrived there and there was no one to talk to about our space. We encountered 2 other people and they were not at all friendly. Our space was just a boon docking space between two houses with a little woods around. There were dirty port-a-potties nearby. The one shower was not a bad space. Outpost 203 has put little or no effort into making their campsites welcoming or inviting.

Relaxing Post-RenFest Respite

The Zen Den Tent - Electric & A/C

This was the perfect place to get away from the well mannered frivolity at RenFest but still feel like we were enjoying the great outdoors disconnected from the digital world. The camp was clean and quiet. We never found the showers but only stayed a night. The Zen Den was just what we needed after a fun day of eating, drinking and being a tad too merry!

Overall Great Experience… the campground was well kept & decorated for the season. Dana was really sweet and checked on us daily… we had a big group of 6 & got noisy at times but no one bothered us at all.. the cowboy bath was a nice touch to cool off, the porter John’s were surprisingly clean, & the showers were decent… for the price point it was perfect… my friends aren’t really outdoorsy people so a better shower/bathroom situation wouldv made it perfect for them but overall we have no complaints..

Site is nice and secluded, but a bit tight and hard to get into and out of. There was a lot of poison ivy and the water hook up was farther away than we anticipated. The pool was also out of service, which made for a very very hot weekend (it was labor day). The glamping tents looked cute, but we didn't venture back that way.

Tents are not kept up, our tent was supposed to have an air mattress.. there was none. Nothing looked like it was cleaned or upkept. The pool was dirty with a red hue to it along with being almost empty.. The shower was full of bugs and only was accessible. We had a good time because we spent most of our time outside however, the tents themselves could use some tlc, probably wouldn't book here again.. 2/5 rating

The Wee Top Experience

The Wee Top Tent - With Electric

I enjoyed the area where the campgrounds were. It was nice to be surrounded by farms and wineries! Our tent was absolutely comfortable especially with the ac/heater unit! I didn’t like how close the wee top tent is to the zen den tent. We could see and hear the entire conversation of the people camping next to us. Also we were supposed to have a keurig in our tent. The guy said he’d bring it back but he didn’t. That’s all fine but the next morning sucked without coffee! We enjoyed the trails and the little creek across from our tent. I truly enjoyed the fencing around the area it made us feel safe. The showers are a great touch and it made the morning a little easier. I liked the gravel in the community fire pit but I think it’d be beneficial for all of the fire pits to have gravel. I would like to return and try all of the tents. The signs made it easy to navigate through the grounds. Thank you for the experience! We will be booking again.

The Wee Top Tent - With Electric

Such a fun getaway!! I brought my boyfriend to surprise him for his birthday and let me just say… we LOVED our stay. We stayed in the Wee Top tent and for the two of us it was perfect. We both had enough headspace to stand all the way up and there was tons of extra room in the tent to both walk around in. The area was very clean and well kept too. We started a fire, read books in our hammocks, went to the family farm down the road, and had a great time and made awesome memories! The owners drove around to our tent to check on us and see if we needed anything!! So nice!! Definitely a great first experience to camping and an even better experience with Outpost 203.

This place was a first great glamming experience. The campsites were tidy, accessible and well furnished. The host was kind and generously accommodated our request on the spot for an upgrade. Firewood was provided too. The terrain is uneven in spot which is only troublesome for foot traffic at night. We had the whole camp to ourselves! It was a lovely peaceful experience.
