Our experience at the place was spectacular. It should be noted that there "THERE ARE BATHROOMS", THERE ARE also SHOWERS. The attention was spectacular. The place is very clean. I just want to emphasize that the entrance is until 7pm. So if you plan to go camping you must arrive before 7pm. I recommend this place 100%

My dog and I enjoyed a quiet peaceful visit to Magnolia Gardens and were so relaxed walking along the San Jacinto River while the train made its way across the old trestle bridge at the far end of the park. Very nice place and the sunset over the river was icing on the cake! Thanks!

Open to public 7am-7pm very lively with jet skies, people playing, music, and cook outs. Once all non-campers leave its very calm area and you have the whole property to yourself. Wake up to a beautiful scenery. There're lose dogs but calm and don't bother anyone. Staff is very friendly. Clean place trash cans placed around property and dumped out daily, clean restrooms, rarely any branches

It was a little confusing as there was no designated Campspot. Just a lot of picnic tables. So we parked near one and set up camp with our RV for the night. We loved how private it was and quiet it was. Now that I understand how it works. I would definitely go back again.

It was the perfect camp set up. A hill overlooking the river and nobody crowding your site. The Managers were sincere and friendly. Maria brought fresh coffee at 7 am and hung out with us. Real good people. Loved everything about it! Definitely coming back!

So much space and nice sandy beach. Staff all friendly and ready to help you out if needed. Even gave some good recommendations on what spot to best use for camping

Nice place along a beautiful the river. Not a lot of other folks here in December so you have your choice of camping spots. Bring bug repellant. Two things to note, the gates are closed from 7pm - 7am. I believe you can make arrangements for later arrival but I would do so well before arriving. Also, there are a few off leash dogs that seem to be full-timers. They keep to themselves for the most part but consider this if you have your own pets with you.

Great spot to get away from the busy life stile, fishing, kayaking, jet skis, 4 wheeling, and offcourse camping, the owners are very friendly, definitely would go back

Great overnight camping. Maria, the owner, is wonderful & brought us coffee in the morning. Her son was also very attentive & brought us a fire pit & fire wood. This is right on the San Jacinto river. Can get crowded during the day due to large groups coming in. We had a great experience & will be back.

Great place! Didn’t have issues contacting anyone for arrival instructions. Called the Google number. Nice lady helped me navigate to get to the correct gate. Very friendly helpful staff! We were able to camp in a secluded area. Definitely plan to go back!

Whereas the campsite itself was beautiful and well maintained, It was almost impossible to sleep when someone on a quad kept going back and forth around our site while playing loud country music - long after "quiet hours" and in addition to planes flying overhead.
Moreover, somebody bamged on our van in the middle if the night so loudly we thought a twig hit the van.
It was unmistakenly a person yet nobody answered and we stayed in the van until daylight. Don't know if that was security but if not, maybe security should patrol more often. If it was, they were rude and we definitely wont be returning.
Lastly, the staff was helpful but there wasn't much directions and at one point, a friendly staff asked for our bracelets to show we're paid patrons, however, nothing was given and in fact, nobody asked for our reservation at all.
Again, beautiful campsite but our experience was not the best for first timers.

Beautiful property on the banks of the San Jacinto River. The property is well used, but has trash cans that are emptied regularly and plenty of portapotties.
We camped during the week and had the place to ourselves at night. You can hear trains during the night in the distance.

Motorcycle broke down in Houston, needed someplace to camp Uber-ing distance from the city. Very pretty grounds on the San Juacinto River with lots of shade trees, beach and jet ski rentals. Maria greeted me as I was hauling my stuff in with a little ATV truck and assured me she wanted me to find a spot where I would be happy, and for 3 nights I was.
Very accommodating, even for a gringo like me. It's excellent and peaceful on nights and weekdays when it's not crowded. Everyone was nice and welcoming.

I had a great time on my one night camping trip, the host never responded to any of my messages in the app so that was a little bit inconvenient. There is quite a bit of train noise at night and people playing music but overall pretty good time and I would probably come back.

Very nice spot with the river where we could park anywhere. Booked two nights without realizing that the gates would be closed 7pm-7am thus we left after first night. Women’s restrooms where ok but the men’s were disgusting. Some portables were ok.

We loved watching the brown pelicans diving for fish in the river.
The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Two separate areas have a large sandy beach. Convenient to downtown Houston also.

I confirmed ahead of time it was okay to show up after hours. Specifically that it was okay to show up between 10pm and 12am but once I got there I called and messaged but got no response. After 30 min of trying I had to find a hotel to stay in. Poor communication from their part. Based on this alone I would not recommend.

I loved staying here, beautiful place to hang and relax at. I went on a Sunday which was very busy but we stayed overnight and by 7pm almost everyone had left. Monday was very peaceful with only a couple people being there. I do have to say, don’t swim at nights because the bugs are awful. The guy who rents out the kayaks and jet skis (Isaiah I think??) was very chill and the park owners were amazing too!! 10/10 recommend going on a weekday.

I loved the view and how we got to experience camping on the beach! The weather was perfect, I expected winds because we’re by the waters. However it was still hot. I will be back to throw more parties. I do however wish they had more camping gear and stuff, I’m pretty sure they’re getting more soon.

The beach, as it stands, is very impressive; it reminds me of Daytona. However; it is not equipped with the amenities of the strip mall, or anyway industrial scale, found in florida. On the weekend that I visited, these were the kind of crowds—in that little space. There was no formally demarcated campsite; and I could see, how in a more preservative case, this could be an honor and a joy. As it stands, it meant there was not a place to camp in any capacity dispersed.
I visited on the weekend. If I were to try again, I would do so during business hours. Even so. That is a lot of people. Too many to maintain, hygienically, or otherwise, without remarkable facilities, and funding that is not clearly allocated to such measures. There was some construction going on, lots, and lots of vehicles, parked anywhere as per regulation, and more people per foot of water than I have ever seen; more than at massive industrial water parks (where enormous systems for the distribution of caustic chlorine are typical, and ideally replaceable, presently, working).
Unfortunately, this site represents an emergency for both public and environmental health.
