Our main-house accommodations include a queen-size bedroom w/en-suite, a sofa and shared large enclosed balcony, crow's nest, kitchen, dining area, living room and laundry room. If you prefer glamping, enjoy our 2 remodeled vintage RVs, sharing outdoor shower. The grounds are beautiful and fit for campsites w/electricity, and our latest addition, Treetop Porch Tent. Picnic tables and fire pits are placed on each site for our guest’s outdoor enjoyment. This is the perfect place to restore your soul. If you are a free spirit who loves nature, quirky, lakelife, stars, trees, flowers, luscious foliage, pretty much everything about the outdoors and being in a tranquil country setting, this is your vacation and time-out place. Relax in a hammock, play a friendly game of croquet, or stargaze from the Crow’s Nest. Sip on drinks, mushroom coffee, or herbal tea at the patio bar, enjoy a game of pool, join fireside chats, and soak in the sounds of good music shared by fellow free spirits. You will have access to the patio game room, picnic table, restroom, crows nest on top of the main house for supreme stargazing and we have an outdoor shower you are welcome to refresh in out by the glamping RVs. Our host, Barry, is always happy to take you out on the pontoon boat for fishing and swimming. Get back to nature and relax in this peaceful hideaway under the magnificent stars.

Barry's Essentials Campsite is located on Liberty Hill Hideaway's manicured grounds and just a short walk to the waterfront of Lake Navarro Mills. It's a great nature getaway with all the essentials to make a beautiful camping experience. This campsite is our 4th site equipped with electricity, a 20 amp, 110 outlet. The two-person tent is furnished with two padded sleeping mats for a very comfortable night's sleep, just bring your own sleeping bag. The campsite is also equipped with Barry's homemade picnic table and fire pit. If you need a shower, we can accommodate with our outdoor shower, just a short walk away. You are also invited to use Barry's patio game room on the first floor of the main house where you are free to hang out and watch the big screen TV or play a game of pool. The restroom is located just outside of the game room as well as a laundry room if needed. You will also have access to the Crows Nest up the stairs to the top of the main house for an evening of stargazing. Barry is always happy to take you out on the pontoon boat for fishing and swimming. We have kayak rentals for $20/day for our guests for kayak enthusiasts or feel free to bring your own. Get back to nature and relax in this peaceful hideaway's lush greenery and enjoy some serious stargazing. You may even be able to talk Barry bringing out his guitar for an evening of campfire and music.

And then there’s the beautiful Navarro Mills Lake where the boating and fishing will give you a whole new perspective. You will be fishing for White Bass, Channel Catfish and there’s mega Crappie which is tons of fun to catch. If you are an angler, check out our fishing tip in the footnotes. We are obsessed with lake life and you will get that feeling whether you’re here for a vacation or just a getaway weekend. Before you come in, take a dip and enjoy swimming, the water is captivating and refreshing. Savor your picnic on the luscious green grounds under the umbrella or under the covered patio of the main house that was creatively designed by our Super Host. Have we painted an inviting picture yet of what your hideaway vacation time could be? If not, let’s talk about the evenings here at Liberty Hill Hideaway lake retreat. The sunsets are a mixture of blues, greens yellows and orange and just amazing. It seems like they were made for our little hideaway. Once the sun goes down, grab a lounger or two or a blanket to lay back on our beautifully manicured yard or go up to the Crow’s Nest to watch the magnificence of millions of stars, so many that stargazing has become a major sport here. Our Super Host is amazingly talented and you may catch him with his musician friends playing some of your favorite 70s tunes. At this point, all you can do is pick up a tambourine and join in or grab your sweetheart and dance the night away under the amber lights. Our Super Host makes it all so inviting, honestly, you will not want to leave. Let’s just say that if you are coming from the hustle, bustle and lights of Dallas or Waco, just up the highways, you will be utterly astounded by the infinite number of stars you are able to see, the tranquility of the lake as it glistens under the moon's gentle glow, casting a serene ambiance of peace over the entire hideaway and you will be right there to take it all in. Life at the Liberty Hill Hideaway is good for the soul. Footnotes: Tips at Navarro Mills Lake Bass anglers should look for patches of pondweed along the north shoreline. Loved the spot! I plan to return. Bathroom and shower available and a kitchenet with appliances, very convenient. Little nice trail to the nearby lake with kayaks available for use. Loved the artistry on the property, the hammocks, entertainment area, and easy place to collect firewood for campfire!

This place is always awesome, but this new site takes it up a notch! The full size tent that you can walk in, the front porch and back balcony and electricity make it so comfortable and fun! When regular tent clamping gets old, or you are more of a glamper I can’t recommend this site enough! Plus the host Barry is always the best!

This has truly been our favorite campground in this area of Texas! Barry is amazingly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to keep the place spotless and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere feels so peaceful and safe — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. We got to hear Barry's stories, and he even sang for us, which made the experience unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

Loved the BYOT camping experience on Barry's land! A very cozy, enjoyable, welcoming, campground with hideaway spots and common areas like the gaming room, the crows nest, and kitchen area. There was access to all types of extras such as toiletries like tissue and paper towels and cooking utensils. The shared bathroom and shower were both clean and easily accessible. The campsite is a very short walk to a private access lake point. Also, access to the outdoor outlet was nice. Barry was so kind and nice to talk to. His property is a very intentional and colorful location filled with an appreciation for nature, life, and adventure.

Truly the most special of any campsite I had the pleasure of visiting this summer. Imagine the coolest home you could think of, with so much character and a clubhouse… and the host built it all himself! Barry is so kind and cool and considerate, I only wish I had planned to stay longer than overnight.

We had a great time at the daisy! It is cozy, the surrounding nature is beautiful, and Barry is so welcoming. He set up our fire, and sang/played guitar at our camp spot while our three-year-old danced around. He is genuinely interested in getting to know people. I highly recommend! I know we will be back :) side note – it is not far from Waco and there’s a lot to do there if you’re looking for fun activities!

We loved camping at Barry’s property. He was so kind & welcoming. The spot was gorgeous & had just enough privacy backing up to the creek. We took a nice swim in the lake to cool off. The sunset view from the roof deck was incredible.

We would definitely be back. Berry was so attentive to us especially because there was a storm coming so he gave us options to move his truck so we can cook under the car port with a grill he has to provide for us as well as a fire pit shared. He also welcomed everyone else to do this as well. He checked in on us when we got there to make sure we were situated and was so attentive to all guest who were there. It is a beautiful peaceful place to camp and enjoy nature. Lake was walking distance from the camp site. Kayaks available as well if needed. Lush green and beautiful flowers and garden surrounding the place. Beautiful stars at night as well, no need to have a telescope it is dark enough to see with naked eyes. Thank you Berry for your hospitality we appreciate you.

This was our second time at Liberty Hill Hideaway. We’ve been trying to make it back since our first trip and will be going back again. Barry has whatever you’re looking for there. As glamping or dispersed as you want. It’s a great spot to get away and relax. The best thing about this place is Barry, he’s an amazing host and couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating.
