Welcome to our 11-acre haven nestled in the foothills of the Hill Country, conveniently located 5 miles from Blanco and halfway between San Antonio and Austin. Our property features a mix of Airbnb accommodations and five dry tent camping sites of varying sizes. Whether you prefer close proximity for group gatherings or more secluded sites for added privacy, we have options to suit your preferences. Explore our 11 acres with walking paths, and let the little ones enjoy our small children's playground. Unwind around the communal firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and stargazing beneath the incredible Texas sky with fellow guests. Just 5 miles away, the charming town of Blanco awaits, offering fabulous restaurants, an adorable quilt shop, unique stores, and Blanco River State Park. For day trips, we're within a reasonable drive from Wimberley, Fredericksburg, Pedernales Falls State Park, and various other wonderful destinations. Happy Oaks is situated in the 11 acre Laughing Oaks Retreat. We have 2 Airbnb's and 5 other tent sites on the property but your tent at Happy Oaks will be facing away from others and overlooking nature. You have a large tree covered area to use that includes a tent area at least 12x12. You will have a parking space next to your site. There is a brick pad with a charcoal BBQ on it, and a large wood spool for table use or storing things on. We having walking paths on the property, as well as a communal bonfire pit free for any guest to use. There is a small children's playscape as well. There is a compost toilet room a short walk away. Conveniently located 5 miles from Blanco with excellent restaurants, a public laundry, and fun boutique stores as well as the Blanco River State Park. We are also a reasonable drive from the unique towns of Wimberly and Fredericksburg as well as the Pedernales Falls State Park. I'm

Rising Sun Oasis is one of the more secluded tent sites in Laughing Oaks surrounded by mountain cedars and oaks. It will take a 2 man tent. This is a WALK - IN tent site. Car is parked in parking space and then you will need to carry your camping supplies about 200 feet to the site. The site includes a brick pad with a small charcoal BBQ, and a round patio table and 2 chairs in a private little cedar enclosure. There is space in front for two camping chairs as you sit back, listen to the birds song and bask in the shady greenery. You will notice our blue house in the back ground of some of the pictures but once your tent is set up you will be facing out over pure nature. Although you are not allowed a campfire at the tent site, there is a community fire pit not far away that you are welcome to use any time. We also have walking trails around the property and a small children's playscape. Conveniently located 5 miles from Blanco with excellent restaurants, a public laundry, and fun boutique stores as well as the Blanco River State Park. Happy Oaks tent site
We enjoyed our tent camping stay on Leslie's land! Easy to follow instructions on how to get to the campsite. We really appreciated the playground for our young son and also enjoyed the walking trails.

Alternative outdoor stay!

The place easy to find just outside the city limit. The campsite is easily to find when the host [leslie] had pointed out where I need to be at. Evening is quiet enjoyable with a slight breeze and relaxing in hammock. At night time can hear the Cicada but harmless. I didn't have a tent, and slept inside my truck backseat cab. It's a bit hot in there kinda wish I had a battery operated fan, since I didn't wanna keep having to turn on my truck for AC, but I manage to get the sleep I needed. It's a neat little place, something different! [Note to self] Bring mosquito repellent and battery operated fans!!

Leslie made me feel so welcome and made sure I found my campsite alright and had everything I needed for my stay. The campsite is beautiful with more amenities than I expected.

We had a great time camping here! It was easily accessible, and had a nice walking path, big community fire pit, and clean compost bathrooms. The flowers were in bloom so it was very pretty. Leslie was so kind and helpful. Thanks so much for letting us stay!

The actual campsite itself wasn’t bad , nice little table and spot for tent , but it’s right by a very busy noisy road and basically in the owners front yard. Little tricky to get to as the pin takes you to the address beside it. Little bit of a walk to get to the spot. The owner was very nice.
