This spot is beautiful! We loved hanging out with Brian on his beautiful huge pavilion looking out at nature. The birds are amazing. Unfortunately, they just had a huge rainfall of 14 inches, and the mosquitoes ate us alive. If it wasn't for the mosquitoes, this would have been one of our top places! Brian actually warned us, but we still went, and it was still a great trip!

Great tent camping site overlooking a small resaca. The shelter provides a great place to cook and eat out of the rain (and also provides electricity for charging devices.) Another couple was camping in an RV at the other end of the property but there was enough distance between sites that we rarely saw or heard them. We would normally camp in a state or county park but all the local options were crowded and noisy. Brian's place, by contrast, was very peaceful and private. We enjoyed seeing and hearing a lot of bird species. Pretty good stargazing as well.

1 available pull thru site with a few tenting sites. There is water frontage that has lots of bird viewing, and is close to Atascosa wildlife refuge and to the south end of Padre island. The toilet and shower are rustic and in the same room. Brian is a happy and entertaining host.

Brian’s space was perfect for us. We came to the area for birds and we were not disappointed even on his resaca. Lots of roseate spoonbills every night. Brian was helpful with local tips on where to go. Do not count on potable water. His shower/bathroom was nice.

We didn’t end up camping there. We called an hour out and left a msg with our ETA. Host directions said “Wait at gate”. We did and called and txtd and waited. Drove around a while, got nervous we’d be without, so found another camping spot down the road 5 miles. Might have been good, but we didnt get a chance to find out.

Really enjoyed my stay on Brian's property. Great location with short drives to birding sites (really enjoyed Sabal Palms Sanctuary). Full hookups and spacious site on inlet with covered deck and abundance of wildlife. Clean restroom/shower with hot water. Had privilege to judge a MasterChef cooking competition between Brian and friend (this is a planned series of contest so you might also get opportunity to judge). Would definitely return for another visit.

It was secluded in the middle of farm country. Brian was helpful and friendly. My own hideaway from the city. It was convenient because it was a pull through. The waste water access was not next to the other hook ups. But overall it was nice. Thanks Brian!

After a brief hiccup getting access to the property, we enjoyed a level RV site with 30 amps. The host was friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower room was easy to access and the property was covered with beautiful vegetation and flowers. A comfortable seating area overlooking the water provided views of both shorebirds and song birds. We could even heard a rooster in the distance. Excellent experience.

Brian was very fast to reply to all questions (and we had a few) and was quite easy going, flexible and helpful. We stayed on one of his two full-hook-up RV pads. They are new, with excellent and quality connections. He allows more than one dog, which was great for us. And his place is fully fenced, also a plus for pet owners. (Though you are of course required to leash and pick up after your pets which is very reasonable.) We were there to escape terrible weather in central TX so it was very cold even at Brian's. We did not get to enjoy all the amenities as a result. We would recommend this place and consider staying again.

Brian is a great host! He is exceedingly friendly and helped us feel welcome right away. He responded to our messages without delay. We needed a referral to a local vet for our dog and he helped us with that too. The shower is nice and hot! It’s great to find a HipCamp with hookups for water and electric.

We camped in our pop-up Chalet Alpine and everything was great. The pad was level, electrical hook-up well located. Bathrooms and shower were great, and the outdoor sink was perfect for washing dishes. Brian’s land is right on the resaca, so abundant water fowl. We spotted osprey, terns, anhinga, kingfishers, and green jays. Day trips to all the state parks in the area, and the beach we’re all convenient, and local restaurants were quite good.

Nice quiet full hookup site with clean bathrooms/showers and grounds. Centrally located to check out the regional sites without the camp ground crowds upon return. Nice star field on clear nights.

We loved the quiet solitude and having a beautiful stretch of water in the back yard! Brian was a great host and helped us with whatever we needed. Just wish we would have have been able to kayak but weather did not cooperate!

What a great spot! Even though it's on a paved road, Brian's place feels very secluded. We brought a teardrop trailer and were able to easily hookup to electricity. There'd been significant rain the previous day but we had no trouble since we were on a caliche pad. The bathroom/shower building is a short walk. It's an unheated cinder block building but was not uncomfortable even at 50°. This would be a great place for a group of friends to hang out over a weekend. Highly recommend!

Brian was very friendly. Cool place. Wish we had taken time for the kayaks! Only downside was his dogs but that's because one of mine cant play nice and barks when others are around. His dogs were super sweet. Our 1st hipcamp try. The gps wanted to take me past his gate to the next house.
