Waterfront RV Port on Bolivar Peninsula. Water, sewer, and electric (20-30-50 amp panel) Covered RV spot with a screen porch. Property is fenced and dogs are welcome. The screened has a dining table with chairs, and also stores some patio chairs to use on the property. They are really great to sit on the dock! There is also a charcoal grill and a crab trap for you to use. (You need a fishing license and bait. Chicken bones works great!) Fishing is great here... the canals have been dredged and folks are catching right of the back of their lots. Community fishing area is on the end of both Van Sant and Mabry, Mabry has a boat ramp. These you cast right off a drop to the intracoastal. Beach Access via community gate at end of street. Combination for those will be shared in arrival instructions. Spot is a residential lot... It is 60 x 130. Canal City is a quiet residential area. The back side fronts on the water. You will probably see more seagulls and purple martins than people. We have weekly discounts. Message me and I can go over them because the Hipcamp platform makes them difficult. It works out to approximately 7 nights for the price of 5. Be prepared: Bolivar has mosquitoes. This is the coast. If it has rained they can be really bad. The county sprays on a regular rotation but it can be bad. They tend to swarm when you pull in. Spray helps. We also send recommendations for what sprays work best for us in the arrival instructions. We do not offer refunds for mosquitoes. We have never found them unmanageable, and the screen porch keeps them almost entirely away. We are east of Rollover Pass. Easiest to arrive through Winnie and south on 124. Unless you are coming from Galveston or southeast Houston it is probably shorter. The ferry is fun (dolphins and such) but the waits can be long. Also: Do not bring loose propane tanks or gasoline cans on the ferry, they will send you away. There is no toilet or shower on site. 10 miles from The Big Store and Crystal Beach restaurants shopping, etc. 8 miles from the High Island Audobon Birding Sanctuaries. Cancelation: Full refund up to 1 week out. After that point there is a cancelation fee of one night rent to cover prep costs.

Waterfront RV port on a canal in sight of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. You will see tugboats and barges passing by. Crabbing and fishing from the dock. Beach is at the end of the street, approximately 1 mile. The RV cover fits a 34 foot trailer that is just over 11 feet tall. The actual height of the cover is 12 ft 3 inches at the edge of the rig. Longer rigs may stick out the front because of the decking but that is not an issue. Contact with any questions regarding size. There is a screened porch that seems to keep the mosquitoes out enough to enjoy dinner in the evening. The lot is fully fenced and pets are welcome. 50 and 30 amp RV electric and 20 amp plugs are there. City water, septic tank. There is no toilet or shower on site. 10 miles from The Big Store and Crystal Beach restaurants shopping, etc. 8 miles from the High Island Audobon Birding Sanctuaries. Cancelation: Full refund up to 1 week out. After that point there is a cancelation fee of one night rent to cover prep costs.

Edge of the Waters was perfect for what we needed. We really enjoyed the screen porch and the property was fenced for my dogs and also made us feel more secure being behind a fence. Everything was just as it was stated on the website. The canal behind the house was enjoyable. We could see water even though we were not right on the beach.

Great place to stay . Enjoyed catching a few crabs, then relaxed and ate them in the screened shelter. Nice thick lawn, perfect for barefooters .

Relaxing Canal-Side Escape – Just got back from an amazing stay at Waters Edge, right on a canal, and wow, what a spot! If you're looking for a great location for fishing, crabbing, and just plain relaxing, this is it. The property itself is really nice and well-kept. Plus, it's completely fenced, which was a huge bonus for us since we brought the dogs along. The dock out back was perfect for casting a line or setting out a crab trap. And get this – there's even a public spot to fish the intercoastal within walking distance, right down the road. Talk about options! They really thought of everything you'd need on site. All the hookups (water, electric, sewer) worked perfectly, and it was super convenient. We even had our choice of two BBQ grills. One of my favorite features was the screened-in patio area; it was awesome to sit outside and enjoy the breeze without getting eaten alive by bugs. While they provided just about everything, you'll want to remember to bring your own fishing pole. But honestly, that's a small detail. Our host, Tim, was super helpful and stayed in touch throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Loved having a fenced yard for our pup! Tim was great and had great communication! (He even communicated even though on a trip of his own with no cell service!) Nice and private with minimal neighbors using their spots even though it was spring break! Would highly recommend!

Love Love Love! It was exactly what we were looking for! It is very simple and not fancy but has everything you need! Can fish from the grass and use the dock for crabbing! Has the green lights which is a bonus for fishers and the crabbing net was great! I appreciate all the detailed instructions before arrival, made the setup easy and definitely appreciated the heads up about the mosquitos! We didn’t see any until dark and we were able to utilize the out door screened in space for dinner! The fenced yard is great, we had fur babies and it was nice to let them run around! Not many of the lots had a full fence so it was definitely a bonus! Tim was a great host and is very accommodating! We will be back very soon!

We LOVE this place!! This was our 2nd stay & we'll continue to go back. The yard is fenced & clean our fur babies enjoy being able to run around & play and I enjoy the security of knowing they are not going to run off. Tim is a great host from the time you check in until the time you check out. New fishing lights were installed this time & it was great. Don't forget your mosquito spray this time of the year!!

Great location, well maintained bulkhead, nice pier to fish from. Liquor/grocery stores are closeby and very well stocked, should you forget any essentials! We will be back again!

This place was perfect! It was in a great spot with plenty of great places to fish and crab. The neighbors are nice and the host is the best. He was very helpful and answered questions quickly. It has a screened in place to sit and a covered area to either park your rv or your vehicle. It’s right on the canal and just a few houses down is the intercoastal waterway.

This is a GREAT site! We loved that it was fenced in so we could let our dogs out and run around. Hook ups were easy to reach. It was a very clean and enjoyable campsite. We hope to visit again soon.

We come down a few times a year and always prefer to stay on the bay side. The kids cause some catfish and crabs, and I can complain endlessly about the massive gar that I lost right at the dock. The property is nice and quiet and good for a relaxing stay.

Edge Of The Waters is great place to stay! Views are breathtaking, fishing was phenomenal, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Loved watching the big boats go by. We will definitely be back to stay in the future.

Our second stay here and it is awesome! Laid back, no noise, covered RV spot, big yard for the dogs, and now that the canal has been dredged we are catching some good Redfish off the dock! Tim is a great host and very accommodating. Neighbors are welcoming and friendly. We will be booking here again!

Great proximity to High Island birding sites for spring migration. Screened in nook was welcome relief from mosquitos. So appreciated fenced yard for our dog. Quiet street, no traffic or noise.

We enjoyed staying on Tim's property (Edge Of The Waters) very much. It was on a quiet street with very little traffic. Short drive to town to get groceries or eat at a restaurant. The beach is very close, one mile drive to the highway and the beach access is almost straight across. Tim was very quick to respond to messages and he even checked on us a couple of time to make sure everything was good. I would very much stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Tim

My 24 foot long and 10.5 foot high motorhome fit perfectly in the covered shelter. The little screened in porch was perfect at keeping the mosquitoes out while still being able to enjoy the outdoors. It was a little over a mile walk to get to the beach but a nice breeze for half the trip kept the mosquitoes from biting. The sunsets on this little piece of land were spectacular. I would definitely return.
