Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose. Please no loud noises after 9:00 pm as this is quiet time, out of respect for other campers.

Pitch your tent under the large canopies of ancient Post and Live Oak trees. Picnic table, fire ring, pit outhouse, and potable water (100 yards distance) make your stay more comfortable. You can drive directly to the site to make unloading your gear easy. There is access to the nearby Richardson River with a short walk. We have multiple ponds, valleys, hilltops, open pastures and brush land for you to explore. Plenty of wildlife calls this valley home including many different types of birds, deer, turkey, boars, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, opossums, and more! We are a working cattle and goat ranch as well as the beginnings of an eco-system agriculture orchard. In the vicinity you can enjoy a visit to Dinosaur Valley, Fossil Rim, Cowboy Capital Stephenville, Historic Granbury, antique shop Bluff Dale or visit the Vineyards, and much more! Enjoy the fresh air and serenity of this beautiful site! Please no glass containers, shooting, or ATVs/dirtbikes at campsite. This is a pack it in, pack it out location. Located next to the spot where the original settlers chose to build their new life, Richardson Creek Campsite is ideally located under trees just a short walk to the river. Never camped on someone property before but it was good time for sure. lots to see and to adventure around. To say the least me and my family got comfortable fast and if we go camping again at this spot we’ll bring a few more people next time to show off how awesome it was. Owner was nice and cool very clean camping areas and overall 8/10 would recommend anyone to go.

Richardson Creek was a great campsite. The river was beautiful and made the whole place feel peaceful. The grounds were clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. Overall, an awesome spot to camp — I’d definitely go back.

Our trip to Big Bend was sidelined after storms took out roads… so we needed to pivot and it turned out wonderful! Big tree canopy overlooking a little creek; we did change sites as this was suggested as a better site- wonderful time and Lady the dog was a friend who came to say hello on occasion-

Folks, if you desire silent time under the Texas Sky & love being by creeks, THIS is your spot. Host are wonderfully helpful & if, you get lost, it's your fault. Easy to find. Easy spot to relax. 5 outta 5 stars!

As usual Emory's land was very clean it is always great to stay here it is so nice and pieceful we will definitely will be back the large oak trees are awesome they give you the ultimate shade canopy and help with the privacy .The creek was great to get in to cool off during the heat of the day .

Nice and secluded spot, my trailer fit perfectly under the main tree. My son loved exploring the creek and he easily caught about 6 fish. The main campsite is all dirt and it recently rained but there was no mud at all. It is a steep climb up and down to the creek so keep that in mind.

If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful view, that doesn't include people, this is your place! 10/10 will return. Camping spots are a football length apart with thick trees in between. Great spot right on the Paluxy River. Shallow enough to park your lawn chair right in it, yet deeper spots for a river bath. Exceptionally clean water. We will be returning.

Beautiful land. We woke up to the sounds of sheep walking in the pasture behind our tent, SO CUTE. Felt very private, we couldn’t hear any other campers. Slight noise from the road, but cars were few and far between. The easy access creek provided my dogs a place to cool off and a cool fish watching spot.

Really enjoyed camping here, the campgrounds were great. Loved being able to have my dog off leash! The host stopped by shortly after we got there to say hi and ask if we had questions. He was super nice and helpful.

Recently stayed for 2 nights here with my dog; I enjoyed it. Definitely seems to have a population of flies around, but very tolerable during my stay. Emory happened to swing by in the morning -- he was very nice. Got some great photos and videos of the land and animals.

Went for 3 nights and 2 day.! This place is amazing. The campsite is a great spot! To the north you have you campsite and easy access to creek. To the south you have wide open pasture and herd of Goats! My boys loved camping here. They enjoyed the hammocks we set up between perfectly placed trees. The fishing in the creek!. They caught several LG bass!. 20 minutes to Dinosaur Valley SP. There is a a water spicket available but we brought our own. They have a compost set up for restroom needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Clean, easy to access, camping under the trees was perfect. The toilet was easy to use and somehow had no odor. The trickle of the stream made the campsite perfectly peaceful. The camp host was accommodating and responsive. I plan to return

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The site and overall area were perfect. Our site had a good blend of shade and open space; the fire pit, picnic table, and outdoor toilet in great condition, and the ranch itself was big enough for my kids to go off and explore but not so big I had to worry about them getting lost. We had planty of quiet solitude but were still close to both Glen Rose and Stephenville. Emory is a great host and I would absolutely stay here again.

I absolutely love this campsite and location. I love the solitude and privacy of it. I honestly saw one person for the last 7 miles before I got to camp and didn’t even have to meet the host. I came to camp to get away from people and to enjoy nature and that’s exactly what I was able to do. It was so beautiful with the creek and the fire pit and the trees. Everything was lovely. I would 100% return.

Awesome place to camp! My dog was free to roam around for a bit before clipping him back on the lead. On one of the free roaming occasions he got skunked! Nasty stuff. We had to leave a day early. Keep your eyes peeled.

It was pretty easy to find with the specific directions given. The campsite was fenced in and private. We let the dogs off leash in the fenced in area and they loved exploring. Just be aware that if you take them down to the creek, there are a ton of burrs. We have two furry dogs and the burrs were everywhere on their coat. We loved the privacy. We never heard or saw the other campers. We would love to come back again some day.

Brookside Camp
Really awesome camping spot. We arrived with a 25ft travel trailer and did not have any issues finding and getting to the camp. The directions given by Emory were spot on. Cattle was not an issue. Remember to bring mosquito repellent we had our share of bites down by the creek. Camp was secluded and access to the creek is close by. We took our four dogs and they had a blast roaming the creek. All and all place is great if you want an isolated experience while dry camping. Thank you Emory for the warm welcome and we should be coming back hopefully soon!
